The U.S. Department of Defense’s two-night stint of urban training exercises on the grounds of the closed Tinley Park Mental Health Center ended early Thursday.
The highlight of the final night, which began Wednesday, April 24, and went until about 1 a.m. Thursday,
April 25, were numerous flyovers from military helicopters using the village’s helipad. And even though the drills were being staged in Tinley Park, residents in neighboring Frankfort, Mokena and even as far away as New Lenox reported seeing and hearing the helicopters overhead.

In short, because they could grab money from other states.
Heritage legal expert David Addington lays it out:
Like the money-hungry federal government, many state governments have financial and political interests in getting their hands on more and more money to grow their governments. It is not surprising that many of those state governments find out-of-state businesses to be lucrative and politically easy targets for tax legislation.

I knew they had both lost their law license, but I didn’t know why until I read this.
This is 100% legit. I check it out at https://www.iardc.org/ Stands for Illinois Attorney Registration And Disciplinary Committee. It’s the official arm of lawyer discipline in Illinois ; and they are very strict.
(Talk about irony.) Even I, at the advanced age of almost 65, maintain (at the cost of approximately $600/year) my law license that I worked so hard and long to earn.

Jefferson Davis was an enlightened slave holder who said that once the Confederacy gained its independence, it would mean the end of slavery. The Confederate Cabinet agreed to abolish slavery within five years after the cessation of hostilities in exchange for recognition by Britain and France. Southerners were not fighting to preserve slavery, but simply and solely because they were being invaded. And the North certainly did not invade to abolish slavery.

While the President and the rabid left continue to pursue a ban on semi-automatic firearms, manufacturers are fighting back by refusing to sell to government agencies that support the President’s plan.

Illinois Gov. Rahm Emannuel tried to pressure Bank of America to stop doing business with firearms companies. Viewed as perfectly acceptable behavior by a large portion of America, firearms manufacturers copied the tactic and returned the favor.
Larue Tactical, Olympic Arms, Templar Custom, Extreme Firepower and now RAM Arms have vocalized that they will not sell their products to government agencies that support the President’s position on gun rights.

After witnessing the effrontery of Barack Obama against the states and our constitution, it is apparent this man has come here for the sole purpose of fomenting a civil war. From day one of his campaign he has made efforts to position himself as a pseudo-Lincoln. From his campaign announcement in front of the Illinois state capitol where Lincoln served (with a Lincoln banner behind him), to his announcement of Biden as his running mate (in front of a Lincoln banner), from his quoting of Lincoln (in specious contexts) to his insistence upon swearing in on the same Bible upon which Lincoln was sworn in and even having the exact same MENUE as Lincoln’s inauguration.

The problem is that this man, if anything, is the Anti-Lincoln. Lincoln dogged Senator Douglas all over the state of Illinois, challenging Douglas to debate the KEY ISSUE upon which his REPUBLICAN Party was literally founded. That issue was the central question of whether a human being can rightfully be the PROPERTY of another human being. The central belief to the contrary is rooted in the same moral absolute that our Declaration of Independence invokes, which is that life and our inalienable rights are granted by God and no human tribunal has the right to encroach upon that of another. The same pillar that demanded the abolition of slavery is central to the Republican Party’s platform on abortion. Claiming the authority to abrogate this right for one group of human beings over another is to blasphemously make oneself out to be that one and only God Himself.

Chicago has a long tradition of padding its vote totals by placing homeless and deceased persons on its voter registration list. The indifference which seems to pervade many libertarian circles regarding recent gun control laws—laws which are likely to forge the final links on the chains shackled to the average American citizen—is dangerously surprising. Apparently no one perceives the importance of what has occurred.
Few realize the extreme shackles placed on actual or potential gun owners by the acts snowballing into the Gun Control Act of 1968 (Public Law 90-618). To purchase a gun one must make a sworn statement of identity, which is sent to the local police chief—who decides whether the applicant may own a gun on the basis of whether he is a “law-abiding” citizen (i.e., if he obeys every order of the power elite). Firearm ownership is denied to convicted felons, dishonorably discharged veterans, aliens illegally in the U. S., and former citizens who have renounced their citizenship, viz., all potential opposers of the Establishment. Users of “dangerous drugs” like pot, anyone under 21, as well as many others are also denied the right of ownership. Ownership of fully automatic, large caliber, or other firearms is absolutely prohibited to everyone but the State.

Kurt does get a little angry at the gun prohibitionists in Illinois and elsewhere who have conspired to deny him the right to carry a handgun concealed or otherwise. It is OK with them that a man confined to a wheelchair should be denied the ability to provide for his own self-defense. His St. Louis GRE columns often take a no holds barred approach to these gun prohibitionists and he points out the fallacy of their arguments on a regular basis.

Yesterday, I received an email from him. It was a response to my article on Obama.
I am an attorney licensed in both the District of Columbia and Texas. I am admirer of your daily writings, many of which I find invaluable.
However, my research indicates that the two Obamas properly and voluntarily surrendered their Illinoislaw licenses upon his being elected President. Had they not done so they would have been subject to criticism.

about never using the name Barry Soetoro on his Registration with the Illinois Bar Association? “Full Former names” is the second question on the ATTORNEY’S REGISTRATION AND PUBLIC DISCIPLINARY RECORD.
However, instead of Listing “Barry Soetoro,” he wrote the word “NONE” on the “Former Names Used” line.

The fact is Texas led the nation in net population growth for the past decade, while New York and California led the nation in net population loss. Interestingly, the most new Texans (over 550,000) came from one state- California. They brought with them a remarkable $14.3 billion in income, but even that paled to the almost $1 trillion in assets and income that re-located New Yorkers brought to the Lone Star State.

Obama wants to ensure our economic prosperity now threatened by tax increases by increasing taxes. Because, at least that way, Obama’s still in control.
This reminds me of a story from Abraham Lincoln.
An old friend from Illinois died after his disloyal comments about the Union set his neighbors against him.
“Blank is dead,” a friend informed Lincoln, “His extremely disloyal sentiments so provoked his neighbors that there was serious talk of inflicting vengeance on him, and he was found dead in bed—caused largely by fright.”
“He died, then,” replied Lincoln dryly, “to save his life, it seems.”
Like Obama, there’s an example of extreme control-freakishness.
So Obama wants to save our economic life by first killing our economy through tax increases because, while it won’t help the rest of us, above all, it will give the government more control……..

There, Barack Obama proceeded to invoke Lincoln a half dozen times in a speech guided by the hand of Axelrod, whose personal bookshelf is packed with Lincoln biographies. The assembled ached and awed as Obama offered them not mere leadership but transcendence, an overcoming of the “smallness of our politics,” of the “challenges” of the “generation,” and of the “failure of leadership” in America and on the planet.

To understand President Barack Obama (D) it is necessary to understand where he comes from. And no, I’m not only referring to Hawaii, Indonesia, Columbia University, Harvard Law School, University of Chicago Law School and any other places he touched down on to his journey to the White House. All of the preceding were/are important in molding him of course and all have been analyzed in varying degrees of thoroughness.
But one influential component of his life has been relatively neglected–the poisonous Chicago and Illinois political culture he jumped in to, participated in and took with him to Washington. 15-year veteran of Sheriff’s Department says Sgt. Manny Loggins was about to drive away, so he opened fire to prevent a perceived danger to Loggins’ daughters. One other deputy was nearby at the time.
Sgt. Manny L. Loggins & fellow student The deputy who shot and killed an unarmed Marine sergeant after a predawn traffic stop said the Marine was acting so “irrationally” that it seemed dangerous to let him drive away with his two daughters, an official said Friday.
So when the Marine — later identified as Sgt. Manny Loggins Jr. of Camp Pendleton — climbed back into his GMC Yukon and turned the ignition, the deputy opened fire, according to Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Amormino stressed that he was merely relaying statements made by the deputy to investigators and “not defending” what happened.
“This was a very tragic event, we all feel bad for the family,” Amormino said.
The deputy, a 15-year veteran, told investigators he was parked at San Clemente High School writing reports when he spotted Loggins driving “at a high rate of speed” before turning into the lot and crashing into a gate near the football field.
The deputy pulled up behind Loggins and radioed for backup. It was about 4:40 a.m. Tuesday.
Loggins, 31, stepped out of the Yukon and walked off into the darkness toward the football field, ignoring a series of commands made by the deputy. His two daughters, ages 9 and 14, remained in the vehicle.
Other deputies soon arrived and formed a perimeter around the back end of the football field in case Loggins was trying to flee, Amormino said. Because it was dark, nobody could see where Loggins was.
“About five minutes later, Loggins walked back toward the Yukon,” Amormino said.
The deputy issued “a new set of commands” which Loggins again didn’t follow, Amormino said.
“Due to Loggins’ failure to follow the commands and his irrational behavior, including statements he made, the deputy had a deep concern for the safety of the children,” Amormino said. “In the deputy’s mind, it was unsafe for [Loggins] to drive away with the girls.”
Amormino said he couldn’t disclose what the alleged “irrational” behaviors or statements entailed, but said Loggins didn’t appear to be intoxicated.
When Loggins got back into the Yukon and either started the engine or began trying to drive away, the deputy opened fire, shooting Loggins through the driver side window, which shattered. (The girls were in the back seat and not injured.)
Amormino acknowledged that this version of events differs from an earlier account released by the Sheriff’s Department, in which the deputy reportedly opened fire because he feared for his own life.

But win, lose or draw, the fight isn’t going to be over, as other cases are erupting across the nation, with challenges being raised anew even in Obama’s own adopted political network in Illinois.
The Georgia hearing was before Judge Michael Malihi, and while none of the lawyers who appeared in the proceedings was willing to predict what the decision will be, several did confirm that Malihi had considered simply granting them a default victory, because Obama and his lawyers expressly stated they would not participate in a hearing to provide evidence that he is qualified to be on the ballot.
A default presumably would have meant a recommendation from the judge that Obama’s name be stricken from the ballot, a decision which would head for review immediately by Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp.
He, however, was the one who warned Obama of the “peril” of not participating in the hearing when Obama and his attorney had asked that the event be canceled.

Judge James Zagel should round up the rest of the elected or appointed leeches and herd them off to the pokey, too, then follow and lock the door behind himself.

On August 30, Illinois Governor Pat Quinn announced who would serve on his newly-created Muslim American Advisory Council. Among those chosen were Ahmed Rehab and Safaa Zarzour. The former is the National Strategic Communications Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Executive-Director of its Chicago chapter. The latter is the secretary-general of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and is the chairman of CAIR-Chicago’s board. ISNA is listed in the Brotherhood’s own documents as one of “our organizations and the organizations of our friends.”

The Washington Post is reporting that recent damage to an Illinois water treatment plant was a cyber attack by foreign hackers, “Foreign hackers caused a pump at an Illinois water plant to fail last week, according to a preliminary state report.”
The narrative of the attack is that a Russian-based hacker created minor “glitches” in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) which, according to Krebs on Security, is “designed to monitor and control complex industrial networks.” Apparently, it caused the system to turn on and off, resulting in the burnout of a water pump.

Angry about Bank of America’s new $5 monthly fee for using your debit card?
Dick Durbin has some advice for you: Take your money elsewhere.
“Bank of America customers, vote with your feet,” the Senate majority whip said in a floor speech Monday. “Get the heck out of that bank. Find yourself a bank or credit union that won’t gouge you for $5 a month and still will give you a debit card that you can use every single day.
“What Bank of America has done is an outrage,” he added.
Bank of America announced last week that it will soon start charging most of its customers $5 per month for using their debit card – a move intended to recoup the revenue that the bank will lose under new federal regulations that went into effect Oct. 1. Those rules, authored by Durbin, capped the amount of swipe fees – what banks can charge retailers for processing debit cards.
Other banks are likely to follow Bank of America’s lead, which means it would be difficult for customers to merely switch banks.
Over the last few days, critics of the Durbin amendment blamed the Illinois Democrat for the debit fee hike. The Chicago Tribune, in an Oct. 1 editorial, dubbed the new charge the “Durbin Fee” and blasted the senator for pushing the swipe fee change.

In spite of liberal bleating about more hand guns surely leading to more gun violence, in spite of predictions of a return to “Old West” style settling of arguments by gunfights and attacks on the Supreme Court as being “unwise” for affirming the right of Americans to keep guns in their homes, the sky did not fall. Gun we have learned, really don’t kill me after all.
Data just released by Chicago shows gun crimes and murder rates are down and substantially down in Washington D.C. since the right to individual ownership of guns was forcibly returned to the people.
In the first six months of this year Chicago’s murder rate dropped 14% providing the largest semi annual decrease since 1982 when Richard Daley decided he knew better what was good for his constituents and rammed through his draconian anti second Amendment laws.
….Heller Decision dragged Washington DC, back to the Constitution in 2008 the murder rate ……dropped 2 ½ times faster than it has in the rest of the country. Compared to pre- Heller times, murders in DC are down by 34% gun assaults are down 37% and robberies with guns involved are off by 25%.
Not surprisingly we have heard nothing like the din that would follow the predicted catastrophes the Left is always crying about.
Comparing Florida to Illinois
Despite the clear evidence from Chicago ………. Illinois stands alone as the only state that continues to ban lawful citizens from carrying concealed handguns.
Of course, the State with the worst debt crisis insists it knows how its citizens should protect themselves even if it knows nothing about running its own affairs.
By comparison a new law in Florida compels local officials, including police chiefs, to follow state laws..

WAYBACK MACHINE: Michelle Obama Loses Law License
Did you know that our First Lady Michelle Obama lost her law license back in 1993? Oh sure I knew that, “NOT.” Sure, I saw this on the front page of the New York Times during the elections of 2008, “NOT.” I’ve listed below from the State of Illinois’s website of the court action against Michelle forcing her to give up her license.
It’s understood that in the box attacked below under Malpractice Insurance – “No malpractice report required as attorney is under court order inactive status.”
In other words Michelle was under court order to give up her license and is not allowed to practice law in Illinois, period. I hate to use this word but its “rumored” that she was extorting clients. Again, it’s “rumored!” It’s also “rumored” that our President Barack Obama may have been disciplined for not divulging other names that he has used in the past. That really concerns me. He also has an inactive Illinois license to practice law (listed below).
This is so unfortunate for the Obama’s, after all they are our first family and he is the first black/white President of the United States but I can’t stop thinking that this guy and his wife are not who they say they are. They don’t seem to uphold the integrity of our past first families, yes, even Richard Nixon for all you lefties out there.
The more I find on the Obamas, the more I feel that the FBI when doing their background check must have been sleeping at the switch. My research is finding reputable sources disclosing many of their past discretion’s and questionable acquaintances.
Obamas background is questionable enough but do we now have to worry about his wife, also? My god do we have a den of thieves living in the White House?………………..
