Jimmy Hoffa, on Michigan: “We’re Going to Have a Civil War”

Yes, this is the same elegant creature who screeched about “taking out” Tea Party “son-of-a-bitches” [sic] at a presidential event last year. In case you’d forgotten, both the White House and the DNC conspicuously declined to repudiate his vituperation at the time. Now Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. has taken his anger mismanagement show to CNN, seething about an incipient “civil war” in Michigan:

Jimmy Hoffa, president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, said Tuesday he expects Michigan unions and lawmakers to break out into “civil war” after the state legislature passed right-to-work bills that would weaken unions’ power. “This is just the first round of a battle that’s going to divide this state. We’re going to have a civil war,” Hoffa said on CNN’s Newsroom.

“What they’re doing is basically betraying democracy,” he told CNN’s Brooke Baldwin. “If there’s any question here, let’s put it on the ballot and let the people of Michigan decide what’s good for Michigan.” Proponents of the legislation say it gives workers more freedom, while opponents say a less robust union presence will negatively affect workers’ rights. Hoffa also argued that those who don’t pay union dues will be considered “free riders,” as they’re getting the same benefits from union representation without the cost.

The new regressivism seeks to resurrect the machine ethos of Mayor Daley, the glory green days of the Whole Earth Catalog, the union era of George Meany, Jimmy Hoffa, and Walter Reuther, the racial polarization of the old Black Panther Party and the old Al Sharpton, and a Walter Cronkite, John Chancellor, or Peter Jennings reading to us each evening three slightly different versions of the Truth.

The disappearance of Teamsters union boss Jimmy Hoffa remains one of America’s most enduring mysteries.

But now, nearly four decades after Hoffa vanished, his driver has claimed he knows where he is buried – and how he got there.

Marvin Elkind said Hoffa was killed by a mob enforcer and buried in the foundations of the towering General Motors’ HQ in Detroit, Michigan.

OBAMA’S ARMY…

While running for the presidency, Barack Obama made a mysterious and bizarre campaign promise.

He said that as president he would create “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the U.S. military, to advance his “objectives” for America.

The astonishing announcement, made July 2, 2008, to an audience in Colorado Springs, was ignored by virtually the entire media – except WND. Nobody bothered to ask Obama specifically what he meant, or how he could possibly assemble and fund such a massive civilian army, or why – and he never spoke of it again.

Fast-forward to late 2011.

“President Obama, this is your army! We are ready to march! Let’s take these son-of-a-b*tches out …!”

That was Teamsters union president James Hoffa, addressing a large Labor Day rally at which Obama also spoke, proclaiming brazenly what leftist radicals have long understood: America’s largest labor unions – especially the huge government employee unions like the 3-million-member National Education Association and 2-million-member Service Employees International Union – provide battalions of ground troops in the ongoing war to “fundamentally transform” America into a socialist utopia.

“But wait,” you might ask. “I know most unions lean left, some engage in street tactics and their dues strongly support Democrats.

But what about Obama’s statement that his civilian army would be ‘well-funded’ by the government?”

Jimmy Hoffa and Feds Scheme to Control Teamsters

Fred Gegare, who is challenging Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa in elections this month to head up the transport union, says that Hoffa and the US government are colluding to control the union by the use of intimidation.

If true, the allegations could mean that 50 years of work trying to rid unions of mob influence has come to an end.

Hoffa and the Justice Department, says Gegare, have abused a decades-old consent decree, “which was once used to remove mobsters two decades ago, [but] is now being used to target [Hoffa’s] critics” through a “rogue investigative unit set up by the decree.”

Hoffa Does Not Speak for Working Americans

Henry Ford, the creator of the United States’ affluent working middle class, identified Mr. Hoffa as what he is decades before Hoffa’s birth:

A spokesman who does not work in the shop, who does not work in any shop, whose sole ambition perhaps is never again to have to work in a shop, is usually the “bargainer,” and it is from what he says or does that many employers draw their opinion of the men in the shop (Ford Ideals, 1922).

…Mr. Hoffa also accused the Tea Party of “waging a war on workers,” which reinforces Ford’s advice that workers need to identify their friends and enemies very carefully. Again per Ford Ideals (1922):

It is a truth which every American workman ought to know is that 95 percent of the agitation which they see around them does not grow up out of the working people, but it comes down through hired agitators from the would-be capitalistic rulers who want to use the workmen themselves to break down the very industries on which the workmen depend, in order that then the workmen may be thrown on their tender mercies.

The agenda of Mr. Hoffa’s friend Barack Obama includes the wholesale destruction of high-wage jobs exactly as Ford has described. Mr. Obama, and not the Tea Party, has declared war on the coal industry and therefore on miners who, unlike Mr. Hoffa, actually perform blue-collar work and earn good pay for doing it. Mr. Obama’s running mate Mr. Biden backed this up by saying openly that he wanted no new coal plants in America, but only in China — where they will supply cheap energy with which Chinese manufacturers can take even more jobs away from working Americans.

Joe Biden Refers to Tea Partiers as “Barbarians”

Hotair noted Wednesday that Jimmy Hoffa is not alone in the Tea Party flame war, as Joe “Gaffe” Biden launched an “oh-so-subtle” verbal assault on the Tea Party during his keynote address at organized labor’s Labor Day picnic at Cincinnati’s Coney Island amusement park. “This is a different kind of fight,” Biden said. “This is a fight for the existence of organized labor. You are the only folks keeping the barbarians at the gate. That’s why they want you so bad.”

Definition of the word “barbarian”: a person in a savage, primitive state; uncivilized person; a person without culture, refinement, or education; philistine.

Very civil of you Mr. Biden.

Naturally, the journalists in the mainstream media chose to ignore such, what most liberals would say are, “heinous” remarks. However, Hoffa’s vociferous proclamation was widely publicized. Why? NewsBusters‘ Tom Blumer has an explanation:

Biden’s statement is in an important aspect more problematic than the more widely (but not sufficiently widely) noted “son of a b*tches” comment made by Teamsters President James Hoffa Jr. in Detroit yesterday at a Labor Day event President Obama keynoted. While Hoffa was threatening and hateful, he was at least in theory speaking only for Big Labor (though Obama has essentially adopted it by not condemning it). In Cincinnati, Biden, who was elected to serve all citizens of the country, personally characterized a large plurality of those he is supposed to be serving with a word which means ”savage, primitive, uncivilized persons.”

So in the end, yes, Michele Bachmann has made her fair share of gaffes – as have other GOP presidential candidates – but the oh-so-civil comments made by the liberal leaders of this country are more hypocritical than Al Gore‘s gaz-guzzling, greenhouse gas-emitting jet engine.

Normally, I would say who the hell cares, but I say we stoop to their level on this one – you know, pull the Gabrielle Giffords card every time the word “barbarian” or “sons of bitches” comes spewing out of the left-wing aperture. Just a thought……………..

After Teamsters union president Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. called for a “war” against Republicans and tea partiers on Monday, one tea party group is calling for the union leader to resign.

“Calls to violence can never be acceptable in this civil society,” the Rockford, Illinois tea party group said in a statement. “Hoffa’s remarks were made in an introduction to Obama speaking to Auto Workers and Unions in Detroit and this sort of angry, hateful, call to violence should be repudiated by the President with a call from the President to ask Hoffa to resign his very public position of influence.”

While warming up a Labor Day crowed in Detroit before a speech by President Obama, Hoffa Jr. said unions need to pick a fight with tea partiers and congressional Republicans.

“President Obama, this is your army,” Hoffa Jr. declared. “We are ready to march. Let’s take these sons of bitches out and take America back to where America we belong.”

The Rockford tea party called Hoffa’s comments “incendiary and dangerous.”

“If even one member of the Tea Party is harmed by anyone after Hoffa’s call to violence, then Hoffa should be held accountable by the Justice System and Charged appropriately,” the group said.
