During the funeral for two Santa Cruz Police Officers, Former Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta, did something unexpected.
He dove into the suspect’s background. “We do know that he had a history of sexual violence both in and out of the military, and for whatever reason, people somehow always look the other way,” Panetta said.
Jeremy Goulet was accused of raping two military officers in 2006, while in the army, but a plea bargain allowed him to walk away, with a less than honorable discharge. “At some point, somebody pays a price,” Panetta said.
While the former Secretary of Defense never said it outright, many believe Panetta implied that dismissed case, so many years ago, had a ripple effect that may have ultimately led to the death of the two Santa Cruz police officers last Tuesday.

The progressive revamping of the military has gotten another boost. Outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has offered an array of new benefits to the same-sex partners of service members, both active and retired, whether they are married or not.

They include child care services, member-designated hospital visits, and the issuance of military ID cards to same-sex partners, granting them access to on-base commissaries, movie theaters and gyms.
“Taking care of our service members and honoring the sacrifices of all military families are two core values of this nation. Extending these benefits is an appropriate next step under current law to ensure that all service members receive equal support for what they do to protect this nation,” said Panetta in a statement announcing the development. Yet all service members are not receiving equal support: unmarried heterosexual partners and their families are not getting these benefits.

Finally, we have the answer, thanks to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta. In his reluctant Senate testimony, he provided the missing piece of the puzzle: The commander in chief was MIA. The coverup was created to protect his absence.
According to Panetta, President Obama checked in with his military team early on during the attack, then checked out for the rest of the night. The next day, we already knew, he blamed the video maker and flew to Las Vegas for a campaign event.
Meanwhile, half a world away, Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans had been slaughtered by Islamists. Their murders on the 11th anniversary of 9/11 gave the incident extra gravity and led the White House to conceal the facts. An honest chronology would have revealed the president’s shocking behavior during the most successful attack against Americans by foreigners since 9/11.

The downsides to such a policy are legion and obvious; the only reason to pursue it is to placate feminism’s insatiable and narcissistic drive for absolute official equality between the sexes.

I also agree with Trevor that there is a strong likelihood of Obama pulling an October surprise by striking Iran. That scenario is gaining in possibility every day, with Leon Panetta at the forefront. But it will be an attack that is for show and not for true defense. It will be by drone and will entail surgical strikes.
It will be for sheer political impact and could well do catastrophic harm to Israel.

Republican lawmakers are blasting the Pentagon‘s decision to allow troops to march in uniform at a San Diego gay pride parade last week.
Two senior Republicans on the House and Senate Armed Services committees said Tuesday that the Pentagon was out of line to grant the one-time exemption that allowed military uniforms in the parade.
Rep. Randy Forbes (R-Va.) said the Pentagon made a “dangerous exception” to its policy of not allowing military uniforms in parades. In a statement, the Armed Forces Readiness subcommittee chairman said that the decision was a made to advance the Obama administration’s social agenda.
“I am calling on the DOD to halt these dangerous exceptions to policy for political purposes. This decision was an outrageous and blatantly political determination issued solely to advance this Administration’s social agenda,” Forbes said in a statement Tuesday.
“Sadly, this is yet another violation in what has become a pattern of this Administration’s assault on the longstanding history of the Department of Defense as a nonpolitical organization,” he said.
Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) wrote a letter to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta asking for an explanation behind making the exemption in light of the military’s “unambiguous regulations” to preserve its apolitical stance.

Clinton, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, made a rare joint appearance before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to make the case for the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea. The United States is the only major nation that has refused to sign the treaty, which was concluded in 1982 and been in force since 1994.
But the committee chairman announced at the start of the hearing that he would not push for a Senate vote before the November elections. Still, Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., insisted that approval of the treaty is necessary because the United States “has lived by the rules, but we don’t shape the rules.”

“No consideration” is exactly the type of vague and undefined phrase the American people have come to expect from representatives of the national government, particularly when it comes to questions about the interminable “War on Terror.”

The blowback continues from President Obama’s overreaching attempt to turn the killing of Osama bin Laden into a weapon with which directly to attack Mitt Romney.
First, some Navy SEALS, the outfit whose members risked their lives to kill bin Laden, took exception. Then, a key operative at the CIA, who helped secure intelligence that led us to bin Laden using practices opposed by Obama, balked.

The Pentagon confirmed Tuesday that it is carving out a brand new spy agency expected to include several hundred officers focused on intelligence gathering around the world.
At a time of budget cutbacks, particularly in the military, it’s unclear how the Defense Department has been able to move around the money to afford a new agency. The Pentagon wouldn’t get into specifics saying only that the so-called “Defense Clandestine Service”

Film director, producer, actor and writer Sean Stone has thrown his weight behind a resolution introduced in the House last month by North Carolina Republican Walter Jones. Resolution 107 states that should the president use offensive military force without the authorization of Congress that such an act would be “an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor.”
Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution reserves exclusively for Congress the power to declare war. Both Thomas Jefferson and James Madison argued that the power to declare war must reside in the legislative branch of government and the president will only act as the commander-in-chief and direct the war after it is declared by Congress.
“The constitution supposes, what the history of all governments demonstrates, that the executive is the branch of power most interested in war, and most prone to it. It has accordingly with studied care vested the question of war in the legislature,” Madison wrote.
In the video, Stone notes Obama’s unconstitutional war on Libya was waged “despite the fact that the United States was neither attacked, nor threatened for attack by the nation of Libya.”
Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said during questioning by Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama that the Obama administration does not believe Congress has the exclusive right to declare war and that the Pentagon answers to the United Nations, not the people of the United States.

Obama is ashamed of and hates America. His progressive and Muslim goal is to peel us like an onion, expose and submit us to International and Muslim rule. His plan of course is for him to head that international rule after he is done bringing America down as President and forcing us into submission. In Obama’s world there should be no leader, but submissive countries that don’t achieve or stand out but that the U.N. and international powers control. Obama hates state and national sovereignty. Obama thinks our Constitution and congress are simply in the way. Don’t forget his secretary of defense Leon Panetta saying straight to Congress that we submit first to the U.N. and NATO.

The National Defense Authorization Act permits the President to deploy the military to arrest and indefinitely detain American citizens without charge and without due process. The Federal Restricted Buildings and Ground Improvement Act revokes the rights of speech and assembly protected by the First Amendment.
Again, when he deigns to provide some sort of pretext, President Obama orders one of his agents to take the fire. It was just days ago, for example, that Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta was sent to Congress to inform the people’s elected representatives that his boss would no longer need their permission to wage war around the globe. No, President Obama would get his authority from international treaties and the United Nations. The Constitution would be ignored.

I’m getting really, really sick of these pundits and talking heads on the so-called “right” clucking their tongues at the unwashed masses and telling us that we’re crazy and paranoid to be the least bit concerned each and every time the Obama regime takes another stride toward totalitarianism. And it is EACH AND EVERY TIME.
Let me break it down for Ed Morrissey, and all of the other pundits in that social circle so that you can get your heads around this. We are concerned and even, dare I say it, panicked, because we can see the big picture of the Obama regime for what it is. We can take the totality of the dataset and draw not just a logical, reasoned conclusion, but a conclusion that is supported by centuries – nay millenia – of past precedent.

It also allows Obama’s now completely criminal government—whom neither Congress nor the courts have tried to stop in any way whatsoever—to nullify any contract including what’s left of the now heavily-shredded US Constitution made between the US government and any private company and/or the American people. It gives the Obama Syndicate total control of the US Government and total control of ALL resources—including everything formerly owned by you and me—of and in the USA.Sec. 201.
Priorities and Allocations Authorities. a The authority of the President conferred by section 101 of the Act, 50 U.S.C.
