Constitution Worship Revisited: I’m Still Fed Up…! by Gary D. Barnett… “I always wonder not only have any of these people ever read and studied the constitution, but also do they even understand why it was secretly drafted in the first place?”
Last year I wrote an article titled “I’m Fed Up With Constitution Worship!” Since that time it seems, I hear more and more every day about “getting back to the constitution,” mainly from “conservatives” and those of the Tea Party persuasion.
I always wonder not only have any of these people ever read and studied the constitution, but also do they even understand why it was secretly drafted in the first place? All indications show that they aren’t at all familiar with the enabling power of that document to create a strong central governing system that reduced severely the sovereignty of the states.

The Case Against Public Education ( Abolish it!)
If public education is allowed to survive, all efforts to resuscitate the inert husk of modern civilization will fail. It is time to unravel the most wasteful and destructive entitlement program of all. .
(snip)
For years, reasonable and serious people have known that the educational establishment is at the root of the undoing of modernity and its natural political fruit, individual liberty. And for years, excepting a tiny, brave minority of parents and educators, most citizens have assumed that the problems of the education system, however grave, are to be resolved through legislative reforms, bureaucratic changes, or school board activism.
Such methods, though often undertaken with the noblest of intentions, have always failed, in spite of the few heartening but minor victories that may have been won on the way to ultimate defeat. This general failure is inevitable, as treating the superficial symptoms of a fatal disease will always be, whatever temporary relief such treatment may bring to the sufferer.
We Need an Intellectual Awakening – Ron Paul – Mises Daily
How Much Did I Accomplish?
In many ways, according to conventional wisdom, my off-and-on career in Congress, from 1976 to 2012, accomplished very little. No named legislation, no named federal buildings or highways—thank goodness. In spite of my efforts, the government has grown exponentially, taxes remain excessive, and the prolific increase of incomprehensible regulations continues. Wars are constant and pursued without Congressional declaration, deficits rise to the sky, poverty is rampant and dependency on the federal government is now worse than any time in our history.
All this with minimal concerns for the deficits and unfunded liabilities that common sense tells us cannot go on much longer. A grand, but never mentioned, bipartisan agreement allows for the well-kept secret that keeps the spending going. One side doesn’t give up one penny on military spending, the other side doesn’t give up one penny on welfare spending, while both sides support the bailouts and subsidies for the banking and corporate elite. And the spending continues as the economy weakens and the downward spiral continues. As the government continues fiddling around, our liberties and our wealth burn in the flames of a foreign policy that makes us less safe.

Explaining Liberty to Liberals, Democratic Socialists,
Neo-Conservatives and Fascist Alike
Albert J Nock summed it up with the title of his book, “Our Enemy the State.”
We believe that there is nothing the State does that a private property, natural law based, for profit society can not do better.
We take every possible opportunity to demean the State and point out its crimes and ineffeciencies. There is no shortage of material.
Here is a summary of what we are all about.
As a staunch Anarcho-Capitalist and editor of the libertarian on-line news magazine, FlyoverPress.com, I am frequently confronted with all manner of political views. Thus, I find myself having to repeatedly explain the fundamentals of libertarian philosophy. Essentially, I have written the same essay thousands of times. This paper is an attempt to summarize and consolidate those essays and thereby save myself a great deal of time in the future.
For most of my life I have searched for a set of principles by which to live—ethical principles that could be applied to any and all human interactions. I have always rejected “situational ethics” as my intuition told me that there is such a thing as an “objective” ethic. But it eluded me for many years, until I discovered libertarianism.

By Ron Paul | Delivered on the House Floor, November 14, 2012
Farewell to Congress
This may well be the last time I speak on the House Floor. At the end of the year I’ll leave Congress after 23 years in office over a 36 year period. My goals in 1976 were the same as they are today: promote peace and prosperity by a strict adherence to the principles of individual liberty.
It was my opinion, that the course the U.S. embarked on in the latter part of the 20th Century would bring us a major financial crisis and engulf us in a foreign policy that would overextend us and undermine our national security.
To achieve the goals I sought, government would have had to shrink in size and scope, reduce spending, change the monetary system, and reject the unsustainable costs of policing the world and expanding the American Empire.
The problems seemed to be overwhelming and impossible to solve, yet from my view point, just following the constraints placed on the federal government by the Constitution would have been a good place to start.

“Human Farming:” The Story of Your Enslavement, page 1
The video clip below presents a very interesting take on human history. The creator of this clip posits human social organization in general as analogous to farming, and specifically livestock farming. On a farm, humans control animals. On a “human farm,” humans control other humans. And we all live on “human farms.”
The ultimate natural resource, states the film, is not agricultural or mineral. Rather, it is control over other humans.
An animal can feel momentary pain or fear, but it lacks the brain capacity to be coerced with the fear of future pain. A man can take an egg each day from a chicken, but he can get many, many more eggs by threatening the lives and wellbeing of other humans, such that they regularly supply the stronger man with chicken eggs. Thus, “human farming” is vastly more efficient than pure
Give Me Liberty! by Karen Kwiatkowski (“the challenge before us today is not an election, or even many elections. The challenge before us is rather to be willing to know the truth”)
…..I believe the challenge before us today is not an election, or even many elections. The challenge before us is rather to be willing to know the truth, to know the worst, and to provide for it. It is in that providing that we will give up comfort and wealth, embrace our fears, trade away our former dreams and lay it all on the line to live free, and to never submit to tyranny. We are on that path now – as those who went before us – because we have indeed been willing listen, and to see, the terrible truth that a republic of these United States no longer exists – it has been destroyed and transformed into a social welfare dictatorship in which voters trudge angrily to the polls hoping to change things, and yet the only change we see is the continued growth of a centralized security state, an indebted and bankrupt nation that seeks wars abroad, suppression of liberty at home, and preaches a deformed and alien interpretation of the Constitutionto sustain its existence.
Military Oaths Are Meaningless by Roger Young
Members of the US military often point to the oaths they take upon enlistment as proof they will never violate the rights of Americans. They insist they are committed toward “defending” the Piece of Paper (also known as the US Constitution)
and thereby also defend the individual rights that this document claims to protect. But is it wise for the free individual to rely on such an oath being kept?

Liberty Knows No Compromise
Dr. Jimmy T. LaBaume drjimmytlabaume@landandlivestockinternational.com
I came to realize the truth of this during my Great Awakening. That is why I did not re-enlist in the Marine Corps with less than two years to go to a good “retirement.” I would have had to raise my right hand and solemnly swear to “protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” I just couldn’t tell that lie any longer.
Most of the members of today’s military are just like I was–dupes. At every stage of life, from kinder-garden to the university, from church to sporting events they are bombarded with statist propaganda with the purpose of training them “to be obedient tools of the ruling class, easy to manage and quick to unthinkingly obey. The goal of the system was (and still is) to “fashion” the person in such a way that he ‘simply cannot will otherwise.’“
My guess is that at least 99% of them have not even read the constitution. How can they solemnly sweat to uphold it? — jtl, 419

RON PAUL STATEMENT ON CAMPAIGN GOING FORWARD
“WE WILL CONTINUE TO TAKE LEADERSHIP POSITIONS, WIN DELEGATES, AND CARRY A STRONG MESSAGE TO THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION THAT LIBERTY IS THE WAY OF THE FUTURE.” – RON PAUL

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul issued the following statement to supporters and the general public concerning the continuation of his historic bid for the GOP nomination.
The statement tees up forthcoming information the campaign will release concerning its fruitful delegate-attainment strategy still occurring at delegate-selection events such as state conventions ahead of the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
Below please find comments from Congressman Paul:
“As I reflect on our 2012 Presidential campaign, I am humbled by the supporters who have worked so hard and sacrificed so much. And I am so proud of what we have accomplished. We will not stop until we have restored what once made America the greatest country in human history…………….

Should Peace Prevail? Of Course! by Karen Kwiatkowski (“The Hobnail Boot of the State Stomping on your face. Karen Kwiatkowski on war.”)
Recently by Karen Kwiatkowski: Rebellion, Resistance, Renewal … or War?
This is my small part of Marc Guttman’s recently published book Why Peace now on Kindle and I-books too!
When I contributed to the recently published Why Liberty, the assignment was easy. After all, liberty is a condition that men and women everywhere instinctively love and need, even if it isn’t always well-articulated. Liberty speaks to a way of self-government that is human-centered and fundamentally humane. Liberty defines human rights in a way that is supremely just, and liberty, by its very nature, is antithetical to force. Liberty is the natural condition of man, and most Americans share this ideal. Peace, on the other hand, for Americans born in the past 70 years, and for the millions of foreign subjects of the modern American empire, has not been part of their ideals, their ethics or their collective experience.

I have this contrarian view not because I am cynical or pessimistic, but because I have thoroughly studied this set of rules or “law of the land,” and found them to be antagonist to individual liberty and state’s rights, and sympathetic to big government. When one compares the constitution that was replaced, The Articles of Confederation, there is little doubt of this truth. Lysander Spooner said this:
Quotes of the Day – Ron Paul Edition by Jim Quinn
Those in power fear Ron Paul and his message of liberty, freedom, and responsibility.
The quotes below are the true reflection of the man and his ideas. Ideas can change the world.
“Ideas are very important to the shaping of society. In fact, they are more powerful than bombings or armies or guns. And this is because ideas are capable of spreading without limit. They are behind all the choices we make. They can transform the world in a way that governments and armies cannot. Fighting for liberty with ideas makes more sense to me than fighting with guns or politics or political power. With ideas, we can make real change that lasts.”

Judge Napolitano: Freedom is under attack!
“The United States of America was born out of a bloody revolt against tyranny,” says Napolitano. “Yet almost from its inception, the government here has suppressed liberty.”
In his sixth book on the Constitution and human freedom, the popular Fox News host goes to the root of today’s problems, asking: “Where does freedom come from? How can government in America exercise power that the people have not given to it? What forces have collaborated to destroy personal freedom?”
In this back-to-basics on freedom, Judge Napolitano addresses hard questions:
Do we still have a Constitution?
Paul vs. Gingrich on Patriot Act, Liberty, and Security by Mac Slavo
…..The consensus among the majority of republican and democrat candidates is that maintaining the status quo is the only way forward in the war on terror. Contrary to what Speaker Gingrich argues is a separation between criminal law and war powers, what we have seen over the last decade is an ambiguous merging of the two, where unlawful acts that should fall under the jurisdiction of criminal law are being increasingly categorized as acts of terror.
Are You Owned by the Government? by Andrew P. Napolitano
…Historians have speculated that Jefferson originally planned to use the concept of property ownership in that iconic litany of human rights, but he feared that addressing slavery in the same document in which he had characterized the long train of abuses visited upon the colonists by the king of England would have opened the Declaration and its signers to charges of hypocrisy.
Nevertheless, Talmudic and Christian scholars, and renowned skeptics, even atheists and deists, had long held, by Jefferson’s time, that the divine right of kings was a myth, that all humans own their own bodies, and that personal freedoms are integral to those bodies. Whether the ultimate source of human freedom is found in theology or biology, freedom exists, freedom is ours by nature, and the long history of the world is really one unceasing, increasing catalogue of the epic battles for personal freedoms against government tyranny…

The Illusion Of Safety, Government Cannot Protect Us
By: Dr Ron Paul
Recent incidents of violence in Norway and London have made us understandably uncomfortable here at home, as many fear that a worsening economy will lead to violence and unrest in American cities. This is why Congress must view the economy as its first priority and a matter of national security: unless and until we get our fiscal house in order to foster economic growth, civil society will continue to deteriorate.
The fundamental lesson every American should learn from these incidents is that government cannot protect us. No matter how many laws we pass, no matter how many police or federal agents we put on the streets, a determined individual or group can still cause great harm. Both Norway and England have strict gun control laws, and London in particular has security cameras monitoring nearly all public areas. But laws and spy cameras are useless in the face of lawless mobs or sick mass killers. Only private individuals on the scene could have prevented or lessened these tragedies. And we should remember that theft, arson, and property damage were not the only criminal acts in London–innocent bystanders were assaulted and killed as well. In those instances deadly force used in self-defense would have been fully justified.
Perhaps the only good that can come from these terrible events is a reinforced understanding that we as individuals are responsible for our safety and the safety of our families. This means, frankly, that we must safely own and use firearms to deter or prevent criminal assaults on our homes and persons. It is absurd to think police or government agents can protect 310 million Americans around the clock.
Thanks to our media and many government officials, however, Americans have become conditioned to view the state as our protector and the solution to every problem. Whenever something terrible happens, especially when it becomes a prominent news story, people reflexively demand that government do something. This impulse almost always leads to bad laws, more debt, and the loss of liberty. It is completely at odds with the best American traditions of self-reliance and individual responsibility.
Do we really want to live in a world of police checkpoints, surveillance cameras, and metal detectors? Do we want to imprison every disturbed or alienated individual who fantasizes about violence? Do we really believe government can provide total security? Or can we accept that liberty is more important than the illusion of state-provided security?
Freedom is not defined by safety. Freedom is defined by the ability of citizens to live without government interference unless they use force or fraud against others. Government cannot create a world without risks, nor would we really wish to live in such a fictional place. Only a totalitarian society would even claim absolute safety as a worthy ideal, because it would require total state control over its citizens’ lives. Liberty has meaning only if we still believe in it when terrible things happen and a false government security blanket beckons.

Secession and Liberty ~ Thomas DiLorenzo…
…After the war Jefferson Davis was imprisoned in the harshest of conditions but was never tried for treason, and for good reason: The federal government knew that it had no constitutional case against secession, as Charles Adams describes in his brilliant book, When in the Course of Human Events.
After his release from prison Jefferson Davis wrote what would have been his legal defense of secession in the form of a two-volume book, The Rise and Fall of the Confederate Government. The centralization of governmental power not only leads to the looting and plundering of the taxpaying class by the parasitic class; it also slowly destroys freedom of speech and the free exchange of ideas. One of the first things every tyrannical government does is to monopolize the educational system in order to brainwash the young and bolster its political power. As soon as Lee surrendered at Appomatox the federal government began revising history to teach that secession was illegitimate.
This was all a part of Lincoln’s “revolution” which overthrew the federal system of government created by the founding fathers and put into motion the forces of centralized governmental power. Peaceful secession and nullification are the only means of returning to a system of government that respects rather than destroys individual liberty.
As Frank Choderov wrote in 1952: “If for no other reason, personal pride should prompt every governor and state legislator to take a secessionist attitude; they were not elected to be lackeys of the federal bureaucracy.”……………

Ron Paul Talks 2012 Presidential Run: “I am Involved In A Revolution”
“I would consider everyone of them a pretty big challenge because I am involved in a revolution, I want revolutionary ideas, I want to return our country to the original roots of individual liberty.”
Empty Promise
It’s just hortatory.” That’s what judges are wont to tell litigators who try to get courts to order some course of action based on the preamble of a law. The preamble is the big wind, the hot air: lawgivers covering themselves in glory, detailing the high-minded, selfless motivation that prompts them to act. Then comes the rain.
That’s the consequential part, the nuts and bolts of what is to be done. It is that, and not the preamble, that matters. And it’s usually significantly more timid — as in big wind, no rain. That is the Republicans’ freshly unveiled Pledge to America: big wind, no rain. It is little wonder that, in patting themselves on the back, the authors keep talking about the preamble: how uplifting it is, what a paean to individual liberty, what a contrasting vision it marks from the nanny-state status quo. The preamble is the part Republicans did not write. It’s the part they lifted from America’s Founders — primarily, from the Declaration of Independence.Nothing wrong with that.
To the contrary, it’s an admirable bar to set, provided you intend to live up to it. The pledge doesn’t come close. In fact, in laying out the “self-governing society,” the GOP could not even get out of the preamble without shrinking from the Declaration’s bold blueprint.

NO, it is the basis of tyranny!
But it is up to us to stand up to tyranny at whatever levels it resides and we must force those that are supposed to protect our rights to do exactly that. Leave the rights of the citizen alone and serve only to protect our rights — for that is the true reason “Governments were instituted among men.”
