Why do Women Love Gay Men? – henrymakow.com
A reader asked this question recently.
“There’s a gay guy at my work who’s totally obnoxious, self-centered, and spiteful, and yet all the female employees adore him. They’re hover around him all day like groupies, hanging on his every word and laughing at his jokes.”
“Are they just too stupid to realize he’s a jerk, or are women so insecure in the company of real men that they prefer the emasculated ones? This seems to be the case everywhere.”
Before I give my opinion, let’s look at some of the explanations I found online……

Pocket Spies

We know the Internet has dangers. Everything we put onto the information superhighway should be considered chiseled into marble. Meanwhile, those smartphones that so many of us carry are tantamount to carrying hostile spies in our pockets. If the battery is charged and in the phone, the phone is a homing beacon whether it’s on or off. Now add services such as Facebook, and those excellent phone cameras with geotagging, and there is a combination for disaster.

Recently released amateur video of two Florida Highway Patrol troopers apparently speeding down a highway appears to be the latest jab thrown at FHP.
CBS4 News partners Univision say the video was shot by an unidentified police officer, allegedly last Thursday on the Florida Turnpike and given to the press.
It appears to be a direct response to the video leaked last month of FHP Trooper Donna Watts pulling over and briefly detaining Miami Police officer Fausto Lopez at gunpoint for reckless driving while he sped to an off-duty job.

Her (INS Agent Mill’s) instructions: Locate Elian, get him safely into a waiting van, and stay with him and allay his fears until federal agents reunited him with his father, Juan Miguel Gonzalez, at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
After Elian was found in a closet, Mills told him in Spanish: “I know this seems frightening to you now, but it will all be over very soon,” said Russ Bergeron, director of media relations for the INS. “She told him: `We’re not going to take you to Cuba. We’re not going to put you on a raft. We’re taking you to see your papa.’ ”
Cops in Florida ready to fight each other over traffic stop (Highway Patrol vs. Miami cops)
A war is brewing in South Florida, but don’t look to the police to protect you. They’re the ones who are fighting. Members of the Miami-Dade Police Department aren’t taking kindly to having one of their own arrested at gunpoint by a State Trooper and now the threats and insults are flying.
It started last month when Miami Officer Fausto Lopez was pulled over in his squad car for driving 120 MPH en route to an off-duty job. Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Trooper Donna Jane Watts pulled him over, gun drawn, and put him in handcuffs.

A federal appeals court has thrown out the 17-year prison sentence imposed on convicted terrorism plotter Jose Padilla.
A three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Monday that the sentence imposed by a Miami federal judge was too lenient. The appeals court sent the case back for a new sentencing hearing.

Fla. lawsuit: Can doctors ask patients about guns?
MIAMI (AP) — Doctors in Florida are fighting a first-of-its-kind law requiring them to have a legitimate safety concern before they start asking a patient about guns.
The physicians contend the new law is too broad and they should be free to ask patients and parents about firearms in the house to make sure people know how to keep them safely locked away. Doctors routinely offer similar advice about other household risks, from the dangers of tobacco use to swimming pools.
Gun rights supporters who pushed for the new law believe questions about gun ownership are an invasion of privacy, and say some people have been dropped by doctors simply because they refused to talk about firearms.
The law, signed by Republican Gov. Rick Scott, took effect June 2. It forbids doctors from inquiring about guns unless the information is “relevant to a patient’s medical care or safety, or the safety of others.”
Doctors’ groups representing about 11,000 physicians in Florida immediately sued, calling on a federal judge to block the law. They say the law is already having a chilling effect on meaningful conversations about firearms with patients, which professional medical organizations have for years advocated as good practice. Many patient questionnaires ask about gun ownership.
“Making sure patients understand the risks around them is a critical part of a doctor’s mission,” Douglas Hallward-Driemeier, an attorney for the physicians’ said Wednesday during a court hearing on the lawsuit.
U.S. District Judge Marcia Cooke didn’t issue a ruling but asked skeptical questions of the doctors.
“What’s relevant about asking about my gun when I came in with a cold?” said Cooke, a 2004 appointee of President George W. Bush. “Maybe it’s the other way around. Maybe the questionnaire is overbroad and not the statute.”

Miami-Dade County seems to have become a staging ground in preparation of a militarized police state.
The latest event was reported on by The Miami-Herald when a scene right out of the movie Conspiracy Theory led residents to start Tweeting about “pitch black” military helicopters dropping men onto buildings, including the Bank of America building, beginning around 9:15 p.m. as witnessed in the video below:

Big Brother’s Eye in the Sky Arrives in Florida
ce in Miami will soon be using a noisy bit of technology called a MAV, or Micro Air Vehicle, to snoop on citizens.Miami-Dade Sgt. Andrew Cohen told CBS Miami the drone will be used to gather real time information in situations that may be too dangerous for officers.“If an SRT Special Response Team has to go into an area they don’t know what’s there, we don’t know what is in the backyard,” said Cohen, “They want to know if there are dogs in the backyard, if there is a shed, things that could be a threat to us.”
The ACLU is not so sure. “What happens when they fly over backyards and they see something without a warrant that they want to take [action] against,” pondered ACLU Executive Director Howard Simon.
