New York’s dishonest governor, Andrew Cuomo, has made it eminently clear that there is no place for pro-life voters, or gun owners, in his sorry excuse for a state. This, along with the resounding failure of even moderate Democrats to distance themselves from this individual, shows there is no place for gun owners, Catholics, Orthodox Jews, or Evangelical Christians in the Democratic Party.

De Blasio Refuses to Plow Streets of Wealthy New York Neighborhoods

Twenty one days into his administration New York City Mayor, Bill De Blasio, is already making Mike Bloomberg look good. And, let’s face it, when someone makes Bloomy look like a model of fairness and honesty, things are clearly pretty bad. In fact, this occurred so quickly after De Blasio’s inauguration, I’m beginning to think Bloomberg might have mastered a win for De Blasio in a last-ditch effort to procure a positive legacy for himself after he left office.

While Chris Christie faces criticism for his office closing a few lanes on the George Washington Bridge, the New York City Mayor might be embarking on his own politically motivated scandal. According to the New York Post, the city’s wealthiest neighborhoods are being deliberately left out in the cold during the current snowstorm that is sweeping the North East.

Apparently whole sections of the wealthy Upper East Side are being snubbed by the city’s snow plows, leaving the 1-percenters to contend with Mother Nature on their own. According to the NY Post:

“He is trying to get us back. He is very divisive and political,” said writer and life-long Upper East Side mom Molly Jong Fast of Mayor de Blasio. “By not plowing the Upper East Side, he is saying, ‘I’m not one of them.’”

Of course, something tells me Gracie Mansion is getting brushed off in the current storm.

There appears to be little (or zero) plows running between 59th and 79th Streets, and between Second and Fifth Avenues. Much to the horror of New Yorkers unlucky enough to have earned the scorn of America’s most progressive Mayor, they may now have to contend with nearly a foot of global warming snow without any aid from city workers. (Take that you capitalist pigs!)

The horror stories are already piling in:

“I can’t believe de Blasio could do this. He is putting everyone in danger,” said Barbara Tamerin, who was using ski poles to get around 81st Street and Lexington Avenue. “What is he thinking? We’re supposed to get up to a foot of snow and nobody on the Upper East Side is supposed to blink an eye? I can barely get around and I’m on snow shoes!”

Well, Barbara, in all fairness snow shoes are kinda difficult to walk in under the best of conditions. I imagine traversing 10-12 inches of snow on a busy New York City street with ski poles, snow shoes, and what I can only assume is an over-developed irrational fear of snow, is pretty tough work. (If you are reading this from Fargo, Denver, Salt Lake City, or really anywhere else where snow is a common winter weather pattern, feel free to leave sarcastic remarks in the comment section below.)

Martin Cisse, 45, who works at a flower shop near 85th and Lex, said he can’t understand why the city would fail to plow the UES. “De Blasio is trying to hurt the more wealthy people by ignoring us but there’s no logic to that,” Cisse said.

And while New Yorkers have a tendency to over-react to moments of nature, Cisse has a point. There is no real logic to De Blasio’s war against the New York wealthy. (As a side note, there also seems to be little logic in Cisse’s grammatical structure.)

Sanitation Commissioner John Doherty defended the unusually class-oriented plowing practices by saying that traffic had “created a lot of problems” in the area. Yeah… That tends to happen when you don’t plow it.

The most telling sentence of the NY Post’s report, however, came from Barbara Tamerin (ya know, the lady that equipped herself with snow shoes and ski polls to help her conquer that white fluffy stuff from the sky) when she exclaimed that New York needs Mayor Bloomberg back!

Well… Let’s not be hasty (or stupid). I don’t think anything could make me pine for the days of Bloomy. But, it is nice to see that I can occasionally predict political events correctly. While General De Blasio leads his liberal troops (and the city’s sanitation department) in a war against the wealthy, more New Yorkers will soon be looking back on the days of Bloomberg as the dwindling years of New York exceptionalism. De Blasio’s political agenda, more than his apparent arctic-warfare on the rich, is the perfect vehicle to make Bloomberg look efficient.

Now just wait until De Blasio starts taxing, regulating, banning, and nannying the way he has promised he will… For the New York wealthy, a foot of winter weather will be the least of their problems.

PS: Want more info on De Blasio? Here\’s an article about him wanting to steal from a private Central Park philanthropy fund. And here\’s a story about him consulting with ex-cons on NYPD policing policies.

New York City’s Czar Michael Bloomberg today proposed banning metal and plastic tableware in NYC.

Czar Bloomberg cited the injuries caused by the metal and plastic tableware as the primary reason for the ban, although environmental and dietary concerns were also factored in the decision.

Czar Bloomberg cited the statistics and chart developed by Dr. Michael Mann, of Global Warming fame, to support the estimated 20,000,000 injuries each year caused by the offending tableware.

When Dr. Mann was questioned about the data and the methodology used to develop and prepare the chart, Dr. Mann accused the questioners of being “deniers” and “haters of children”. Some reporters noted that the presented chart looked suspiciously similar to the Global Warming “hockey stick” chart but Dr. Mann dismissed it as pure happenstance.

Barack Obama, Dianne Feinstein, Michael Bloomberg, Andrew Cuomo, and their cohorts followed Rahm Emanuel‘s advice to “never let a good crisis go to waste” when they used the Sandy Hook shooting to renew their assault on the Bill of Rights. Former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell added, in effect, that one should never let a dead child go to waste if one can exploit him or her for political gain.

In New York, we have a prequel of what’s to come – the repeal of the Second Amendment and summary criminalization of peaceful citizens merely for possessing the means of self-defense, even in their own homes. As in Great Britain, citizens of NY face prison if they use proscribed weapons against murderous thugs – even in their own homes. The tyrants Michael Bloomberg and Andrew Cuomo have made their decision. Now New Yorkers will have to make theirs. And so will the rest of us – if, as seems likely, the federal tyrants succeed in issuing a New York-style fatwa that applies to the rest of the country. Which brings us to the question:

Left convinced Americans will not fight for 2nd Amendment rights « Coach is Right

January 7, 2013 3 comments

by Doug Book, staff writer

Once cowed at the thought of provoking 2nd Amendment supporters, leftists will soon attempt to ban “assault weapons” (and much more) as legislation offered by Diane Feinstein makes its way to the Senate floor. It seems that DC liberals have finally become convinced that American gun owners are too cowardly, too lazy or too dependent upon the generosity of Big Brother to fight for their 2nd Amendment rights.

During the past 4 years, the gun banning left have watched as American buyers broke sales records in the purchase of semi-automatic rifles. Opting for these and other powerful, efficient weapons it is estimated that some 100 million private citizens are now in possession of over 300 million firearms. And these numbers continue to grow with each passing month.

Yet it’s against this backdrop of America’s unprecedented determination to assert the fundamental permanence of 2nd Amendment guarantees that Diane Feinstein, Michael Bloomberg, Barack Obama and others will choose to implement gun bans, demand the federal registration of firearms, even legislate outright confiscation.

Mayor Bloomberg is leading the charge to take away guns in the wake of the Newtown child murders. The pressure is on.

Apart from grandstanding, which Bloomberg knows how to do, this is all about deflection from the main event: the killer himself.

If they’re so interested, along with the public, in figuring out why Adam Lanza killed all those children, you would think, with their enormous resources, they would find out who Lanza’s doctor-psychiatrist was in five minutes and ask him about his patient.

Of course, that’s sacred ground. Patient-doctor confidentiality.

A longtime opponent of the right to self-defense, Bloomberg told a CNN interviewer that police have a moral duty to rebel against the civilian population if they don’t cede their remaining gun rights to the state:

I don’t understand why the police officers across this country don’t stand up collectively and say, ‘We’re going to go on strike. We’re not going to protect you. Unless you, the public, through your legislature, do what’s required to keep us safe.’

This wasn’t a political argument for “gun control” legislation. Bloomberg went on national television and demanded a military coup against a civilian government he deems insufficiently authoritarian. Like Adolf Hitler before him – and yes, I’m going there – he used the Aurora mass murder as a call to arms for his own version of the Beer Hall Putsch.

I saw a note slide across the #TCOT feed on Twitter last night that mentioned Michelle Obama had no law license. This struck me as odd, since (a) she went to school to be a lawyer, and (b) she just recently held a position with the University of Chicago Hospitals as legal counsel — and that’s a pretty hard job to qualify for without a law license. But being a licensed professional myself, i knew that every state not only requires licensure, they make it possible to check online the status of any licensed professional. So I did . . . MORE

Prison Planet.com » Bloomberg’s Soda Ban: Do as I Say, Not as I Do

Ah, the hypocrisy of the Left. Former Vice President Al Gore travels the world in a private jet to lecture everyone else on reducing carbon emissions. First Lady Michelle Obama tells people to eat veggies while she and her husband consume burgers, fries, cheesesteaks, and ice cream. And New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, trying to ban super-sized sodas on the theory that doing so will curb obesity, gives away free soda in unlimited quantities to employees of his media conglomerate, Bloomberg L.P.

America’s Moral Schizophrenia…

schiz·o·phre·ni·a – a state characterized by the coexistence of contradictory or incompatible elements.

By now most people have heard about New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg’s battle to ban Big Gulps in the Big Apple. According to the Bloomberg’s Health Commissioner, Thomas Farley:

We have a crisis of obesity. People often go with the default choice, and if the default choice is something which is very unhealthy and is feeding into that health crisis, it’s appropriate for the government to say, “No, we think the default choice should be healthier.”

A Controlling Two-Step…

June 5, 2012 Leave a comment

How did America’s free and opportunity laden society produce these endless authorities who deems as their purview our total lives?

I mean, who died and left this crack pot mayor in New York City with not only the keys but a deed over everyone’s personal conduct? His latest outpouring of unbridled authority came with his assessment that, “The percentage of the population that is obese is skyrocketing. We’ve got to do something.” This man is in need of a permanent “time out.”

While this trespass into our private affairs is infuriating and obviously over the limits of any elected office, his mindset personifies the degree of control which is in store for our Country if these elitists continue to be elected………..

Stand Your Ground makes sense

Call them what you will: “Stand Your Ground” or “Castle Doctrinelaws. Mayor Bloomberg and members of Congress, speaking on the House floor, go so far as to label them “shoot first” laws.

This is a gross exaggeration — a slander, in fact, against legislation designed to reform a flaw in our treatment of self-defense. Earlier statutes affirmatively required potential victims to retreat as much as possible before using deadly force to protect themselves, sometimes putting their lives in jeopardy.

Bloomberg flips out after TheDC asks question about bounty on Zimmerman [VIDEO]

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg told The Daily Caller that he is outraged that TheDC would bother to ask a question regarding the $10,000 “dead or alive” bounty that the New Black Panther Party has issued for George Zimmerman.

Bloomberg spoke at the National Press Club Wednesday about the Trayvon Martin case and “stand your ground” laws and became visibly upset when TheDC asked him about the bounty on Zimmerman.“I don’t know that to be the case,” Bloomberg retorted about the bounty. “Anybody who puts a bounty on somebody else’s life is acting totally inappropriately. I’m sure it’s illegal, must be illegal. I’m outraged to even be asked the question. Whadya think?”“I didn’t even know about it until you just told me, thank you very much,” he said angrily. “I appreciate the information.

Van Jones Reveals Future of Occupy Wall St: ‘You Haven’t Seen Anything Yet’

Van Jones offered a prediction Wednesday for those who have been watching the Occupy Wall Street movement: “You haven’t seen anything yet.”

The former Obama administration “green jobs czar” — an ardent supporter of the Occupy movement since its inception — said in an interview with CNN that the movement is ready to evolve into the areas of politics and policy-making, much like the Tea Party did in 2010.

“You’re going to see an evolution now as you go from protests, keep the protests, but now expand into politics,” Jones said. “And if you thought there was an earthquake in 2010 when the Tea Party moved into politics, wait until this 99 percent movement moves over into politics. You haven’t seen anything yet.”

Ticket-Fixing Is Old-Fashioned Corruption

November 4, 2011 Leave a comment

Last month sixteen cops were arrested for their alleged roles in a wide-spread ticket-fixing ring within the NYPD, and some attempt to downplay the charges as mere professional courtesy rather than egregious criminal behavior.

* * *

The failure of many police even to comprehend the seriousness of the ticket-fixing allegations perhaps is emblematic of a culture of corruption within the NYPD, and could explain a broad array of more serious misconduct allegations that has plagued the department in recent months: planting drugs on innocent people to meet arrest quotas, covering up crimes in some cases and making false arrests in other cases as favors to friends, and smuggling guns, shaking down drug dealers or robbing others for fun and profit.

Bloomberg to OWS: Congress caused the mortgage crisis, not the banks

By this time, everyone should be aware of the federal policies that precipitated the housing bubble and its collapse — the push by Congress and two administrations to push higher-risk lending in order to expand home ownership, as well as the effort by Congress to get Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to spread that risk through mortgage-backed securities. While Wall Street made the situation worse by developing risky derivatives on those securities and failed to recognize the risk inherent in the securities themselves, the collapse wouldn’t have occurred at all had the federal government not intervened to distort lending for their own social-engineering goals.

Michael Bloomberg tried to explain that to Occupy Wall Street protesters this morning, and pointed out the contradiction between their protests and their demands:
