Homeland Security, Journalism, Media, Terrorism
A pattern has emerged in cable TV malpractice. As critical as I am of the channels as the mouthpiece of neoconservatism, Fox News and Fox Business are the only channels doing news. They diligently cover the major stories of the day. The coverage is news driven. New job numbers, new Obamacare cancellations, counter-responses from the administration, Ukraine, The Issa-Cummings tiff: it’s all there.

Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), who according to a forthcoming book is on Hillary Clinton’s “hit list,” offered his support for the former secretary of State, senator and first lady if she runs for president again in 2016.
“I’m a huge supporter of Hillary Clinton. I hope she will run for president, and I’ve indicated I would be a supporter of Hillary Clinton if she runs, but again, I’m trying to figure out this last one,” Van Hollen said on MSNBC. “As I say, it’s an unsolved mystery. Maybe someone will pick up the phone and tell me. Again, this assumes this is a true report.”
See the interview starting at 3:30:
The book, “HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton,” by reporters Jonathan Allen of Politico and Amie Parnes of The Hill newspaper, talks about a spreadsheet prepared as one of the last orders of business by the 2008 campaign staff, “so that friends could be rewarded and enemies punished.”
Members of Congress were ranked on a scale of 1 to 7 in her run against Barack Obama, with 1 being wholehearted supporters of Clinoton’s 2008 bid and 7 being people “those who endorsed him but really should have been with her.”
Van Hollen was among the sevens. Van Hollen, the ranking member of the House Budget Committee, who in 2008 was the chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and was in charge of recruiting and raising money for Democratic House candidates.

Jared Bernstein, the man who was formerly responsible for advising Vice President Joe Biden on economic matters (wow . . . that would be a daunting task), has said that if Obama is a socialist, he’s not a particularly good socialist. In fact, he said the President would have to be considered the “worst socialist ever” because the financial markets have been climbing during his Presidency. And to think everyone used to call me names for suggesting socialism is a tool used to prevent mass prosperity.

May I propose why Obama’s [growing] mental illness is “a topic largely untouched?” It is because the mainstream media which should be reporting on it, is afflicted with the same type of mental illness and incompetence. All one has to do is visit the MSNBC Network. It has a history of hiring (as their anchors) personalities which would not succeed in the real world of honest business. Some time ago this Moralmatters.org author did an article about MSNBC’S hate mongering extremism, which I believe severely taints all that they report [on]:

We may have reached the end of an era. We haven’t seen anything official, but Google hasn’t been updating Toolbar PageRank, and hasn’t said that it is not killing it. In fact, earlier this year, the company hinted that a time could come that they would kill it. Now, there’s nothing but virtual tumbleweeds in PageRank land.
Do you think Google should kill Toolbar PageRank or does this still provide value? Share your opinion in the comments.
Google has not updated its Toolbar PageRank since early February, and that was the only time they’ve done so all year. It’s unlike Google to go so long without updating it, which is leading some to wonder if Google is no longer going to provide this information.

Matthews asked Gibbs: “Did [Ayers] have a fundraiser for [Obama], or not?”
Obama continues to exhibit behavior that, at best, can be described as mobocratic and, at worst, reveals a deeply damaged individual. In a February 2010 column, I asked, “Is Obama unraveling?” I wrote that it was beginning to appear the growing mistrust of him and contempt for his policies was beginning to have a destabilizing effect on him.
At that time, I wrote that not having things go one’s way can be a bitter pill, but reasonable people don’t behave as he was behaving. He had insulted Republicans at their luncheon, where he had been an invited guest. I had speculated that was, in part, what had led him to falsely accuse Supreme Court justices before Congress, the nation and the world, during the 2010 State of the Union address.

The scare tactics that Democrats from President Obama on down have employed to wring political benefit out of the sequester have apparently hit a despicable new low. White House Still Throwing Fastballs at Insubordinate Journalists
Townhall.com ^ | March 1, 2013 | David Limbaugh

It’s most gratifying that people are beginning to wake up to the bullying tactics of the White House toward those in the press who occasionally stray from the government-owned media model, but this has been going on for a while.
Veteran reporter Bob Woodward has said in interviews with Politico and CNN that a White House official warned him he would “regret” publishing a story reporting that the sequestration was President Obama’s idea.
“(The White House aide) yelled at me for about a half-hour,” said Woodward. The aide later apologized to Woodward in an email and claimed he was not making a threat but merely observing that Woodward would regret “staking out that claim.”
Does the aide’s story sound credible in light of the context? He was yelling at Woodward, not making a casual observation about Woodward’s journalistic accuracy. Why? Because Woodward’s account undermines Obama’s credibility on the story dominating the political landscape now: the sequestration.
Obama is on another campaign tour, jetting about the nation on the people’s dime, accusing Republicans of putting the nation’s essential services in jeopardy because they want to protect the rich.

“Much of our foreign policy now depends on the hope of benevolent dictators and philosopher kings. The law can’t help. The law is what the kings say it is.”—Ta-Nehisi Coates, writing for The Atlantic
When Barack Obama ascended to the presidency in 2008, there was a sense, at least among those who voted for him, that the country might change for the better. Those who watched in awe as President Bush chipped away at our civil liberties over the course of his two terms as president thought that maybe this young, charismatic Senator from Illinois would reverse course and put an end to some of the Bush administration’s worst transgressions—the indefinite detention of suspected terrorists, the torture, the black site prisons, and the never-ending wars that have drained our resources, to name just a few.
A few short years later, that fantasy has proven to be just that: a fantasy. Indeed, Barack Obama has not only carried on the Bush legacy, but has taken it to its logical conclusion. As president, Obama has gone beyond Guantanamo Bay, gone beyond spying on Americans’ emails and phone calls, and gone beyond bombing countries without Congressional authorization. He now claims, as revealed in a leaked Department of Justice memo, the right to murder any American citizen the world over, so long as he has a feeling that they might, at some point in the future, pose a threat to the United States.
Coup d’état in America – evidence mounts… “Last year my fellow editor warned of a coup d’état in America. In case any reader has any doubt, Barack Obama and his allies have removed all doubt in the last several weeks”| Conservative News and Views
Last year my fellow editor warned of a coup d’état in America. In case any reader has any doubt, Barack Obama and his allies have removed all doubt in the last several weeks. And in the process have made America ripe for rebellion. But if the right people stand up and lead, the results need not be as chaotic as one might suppose.
Coup d’état, Exhibit A: The Newtown Incident
The Newtown Incident needs no further description. Or does it? Did Adam Lanza steal three weapons, and use them at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, all by his lonesome? Dwight Kehoe at TPATH pointed out that the mainstream media first reported one thing, then changed their story.
They first said Lanza might have had a Bushmaster AR-15 with him at the school, but left it in his automobile. Then they started saying something radically different, as if they had said it all along.
One can imagine Winston Smith at the Ministry (Department?) of Truth rushing out a memo to them and obligingly destroying old copy. Except that it’s too late. Someone cobbled together some original footage and uploaded it to YouTube. You can play it below. (To any Department of Truth wannabes: don’t even think you can quash it now.
