Contrary to Nancy Pelosi’s claims, passing ObamaCare has not enabled most Americans to know what’s in it. But one thing has become clear to those who have studied this signature, power-play legislation of the left— courageous Republican governors can kill it.
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act can only infect the nation and the American people if states are willing either to set up state based ObamaCare exchanges, or “partner” with the federal government, thereby allowing an exchange to be installed and operated by the Department of Health and Human Services. BUT, although the federal government can “…by law TRY to impose a HHS-run federal exchange” in states which refuse to provide assistance, congress appropriated no money with which the government can build or operate it! And so far, the House has refused to provide that funding. (1)
In short, if a state does not accommodate the HHS by setting up a state-based exchange or acceding to a partnership, there will be no ObamaCare in the state. And if enough states hold the line, the Marxist healthcare scheme will fail.
By November 16th, the original deadline for states to advise the feds of their intentions concerning ObamaCare exchanges, 15 states had informed HHS that they would do NOTHING to allow the implementation of an ObamaCare exchange, most even passing legislation against the plan entering their state at all.

Over the weekend, the Montana Republican Party proved wrong those of us who believe our political discourse has gone down the toilet. In fact, our political discourse has gone to a place where there isn’t even plumbing.
Outside the Montana GOP convention in Missoula stood an outhouse labeled “Obama Presidential Library” and painted as though it had been shot full of holes, according to the local paper. Inside, a fake birth certificate for “Barack Hussein Obama” was stamped with an expletive referring to bovine droppings. A message in the structure gave fake phone numbers for Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi “For a Good Time.”

Upon his investigation a Canadian journalist has concluded that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi submitted TWO DIFFERENT DNC documents attesting and/or pertaining to the eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama in 2008.
The Canada Free Press’, JB WIlliams, obtained the two separate documents “prepared by Democrats to certify Barack Obama as their nominee for president in 2008 that suggest House Speaker Nancy Pelosi knew there was an unresolved issue with his [Obama’] eligibility under the U.S. Constitution.” The first verification contains the legal language stating both Obama and Joe Biden “are legally qualified to serve under the provision of the U.S. Constitution.”
Nevertheless, the second document which was submitted to all fifty states “was missing the text CONCERNING THE ELIGIBILITY of Barack Hussein Obama.” emphasis added .

The 2012 election has often been described as the most pivotal since 1860. This statement is not hyperbole. If Barack Obama is re-elected the United States will never be the same, nor will it be able to re-capture its once lofty status as the most dominant nation in the history of mankind.
The overwhelming majority of Americans do not understand that Obama’s first term was dedicated to putting in place executive power to enable him and the administration to fulfill the campaign promise of “transforming America” in his second term regardless of which political party controls Congress. That is why his re-election team is virtually ignoring the plight of incumbent or prospective Democratic Party office holders.
The most significant accomplishment of Obama’s first term is to make Congress irrelevant. Under the myopic and blindly loyal leadership of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats have succeeded in creating an imperial and, in a second term, a potential dictatorial presidency…….

Those are three simple words that form one simple question. And the question has led us to this moment in time.
Recall in October of 2009, when then-Speaker of the U.S House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi was asked about the formulation of the Obamacare bill, and she asked that very question of a reporter. “Madam Speaker,” a reporter from CNSNews.com said to her, “where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?”
Ms. Pelosi seemed surprised. Her indignant “are you serious?” response was followed with a slight bit of nervous laughter, as she then repeated herself. “Yes,” the reporter answered Ms. Pelosi, “yes I am.”
The Delusional Left
Predictably, Nancy Pelosi applauded Rep. Bobby Rush when he donned a hoodie on the floor of the House to show his solidarity with the likes of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and the Black Panthers, in their calls for George Zimmerman’s head on a platter. Meanwhile, back in Chicago’s 1st congressional district, home to Mr. Rush, during one recent Thursday night, 13 people were shot, two of them fatally. I understand that the shooters all wore hoodies. I trust that Mrs. Pelosi can provide Bobby Rush with an alibi.
In the meantime, in the NCAA basketball tournament, the Final Four consisted of Kentucky, Ohio State, Louisville and Kansas. So, Obama got the first two heavy favorites right, but didn’t foresee Louisville and Kansas beating out Missouri and North Carolina. But to be fair, the prognosticator-in-chief, as usual, was playing politics, and clearly decided to ally himself with schools located in swing states.
Although I assume that the four conservative justices on the Supreme Court will decide what to do about ObamaCare on the constitutional merits of the bill, and that the four left-wing justices will decide the case based on their political bias, I pray that Justice Kennedy will not be overly reluctant to undo what Congress has done. I am hoping that he will at least consider the fact that, even with huge pluralities in the House and Senate, Obama, Pelosi and Reid, had to employ huge bribes and thug-like intimidation in order to get a number of their fellow Democrats to pass the damn thing.

When Pelosi says “special interests,” she means the interests of those opposed to establishment Democrats. Clear Channel is a corporation. So is Fox News. There are thousands of websites, newspapers, think tanks and political action committees that Pelosi and the Democrats consider corporations.
In Citizens v. Federal Election Commission, the Supreme Court ruled that the free speech of corporations is protected by the First Amendment. Corporations that produce political books, documentaries, and other materials have the same freedom of speech rights as individuals.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday predicted the Supreme Court will uphold the health care law on a 6-3 vote, saying she and her colleagues “wrote the bill in an ironclad way.”
“I’m predicting 6-3 in favor,” Mrs. Pelosi told the Paley Center for Media. “We shall see. It’s a lesson in civics, and I respect it.”
She didn’t say which six justices she thought would uphold the law.
Unlike the White House, which said it is not thinking ahead to what happens if the court strikes down part or all of the law, Mrs. Pelosi did grapple with that question, saying Congress will have to find a way to make sure that the benefits she said are now going to 80 million people must be preserved.

Since the retirement of Sandra Day O’Connor, Swingin’ Anthony Kennedy has been the swingingest swinger on the Supreme Court, the big Numero Cinco on all those 5–4 white-knuckle nail-biting final scores. So naturally Court observers have been paying close attention to his interventions in the Obamacare oral arguments. So far he doesn’t sound terribly persuaded by the administration’s line:
“The government is saying that the federal government has a duty to tell the individual citizen that it must act, and that is different from what we have in previous cases, and that changes the relationship of the federal government to the individual in a very fundamental way.” As John Hinderaker wrote at the Powerline blog, “In that last observation, Kennedy seems to be channeling Mark Steyn.”
Which is true. As I wrote in National Review only two or three issues back, “I’ve argued for years in these pages that governmentalized health care fundamentally transforms the relationship between citizen and state in ways that” — and here’s the bit Justice Kennedy isn’t quite on board with yet — “make it all but impossible to have genuinely conservative government ever again.”
So I’m naturally heartened to hear him meeting me halfway. This was one of the highlights of a week that a shell-shocked Jeffrey Toobin, crawling out from under the rubble of the solicitor general’s presentation, told CNN viewers was “a train wreck” for the government’s case.
And yet, and yet . . . If you incline to the view that Obamacare is a transformative act, isn’t there something slightly pitiful about the fact that the liberties of over 300 million people hinge on the somewhat whimsical leanings of just one man?

Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert has admitted what most Republican voters have known for a very long time—that the Republican Party leadership is more concerned with the dictates of political correctness and scorn from a liberal press corps than with fighting for the rights of the American people.
Though Gohmert maintains Republican big-wigs like John Boehner and Mitch McConnell really are committed to the defeat of Barack Hussein Obama, he stated in a January interview with Rush Limbaugh that Party elders believe the only way to accomplish it is “by being nice.” (1)
That’s why Republicans were told to “handle [Nancy Pelosi] with kid gloves,” said Gohmert. “She’s the first female Speaker of the House,” he and other Republican congressmen were warned by the Republican leadership.
