Amnesty By Any Means Necessary…

By Arnold Ahlert Thursday, May 22, 2014

The Obama administration is determined to continue mocking the separation of powers concept contained in the Constitution. Thus, the president is contemplating another unilateral move with regard to illegal immigration, allowing some illegal aliens brought here as children to serve in the United States military.

While President Obama and Congressional members have made an effort to convince their constituents that the provisions in the National Defense Authorization Act will never be used against citizens of the United States, the fact is that the laws clearly allow for the detention, arrest and detainment of Americans without charge or trial.

The President attempted to assuage these fears of potential abuse of the law by including a signing statement promising he would never use the law against Americans, but the statement itself is non-binding, leaving the possibility of misuse wide open.

Pentagon Warns To Expect “Radical” Change In US Government Soon | EUTimes.net

October 15, 2013 2 comments

A highly troubling “urgent bulletin” issued earlier today by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) states that it has received information from the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) warning to expect a “radical change” in the government of the United States, possibly within the next fortnight, based on information they have received from “highly placed” sources within the Pentagon.

According to this MoFA bulletin, GRU intelligence assests were notified by their Pentagon counterparts this past week that President Barack Obama is preparing to invoke the powers given to him under 50 USC Chapter 13 to hold that various American States are now in a “state of insurrection” thus allowing him to invoke the National Emergencies Act under 50 USC § 1621 and invoke the highly controversial “continuity of government” plan for the United States allowing him, in essence, to rule with supreme powers.

I have been sensing something about the mood of many Americans that I think is unprecedented in the history of the nation.

It is a fear of the President. A fear that one observer, Daniel Henninger of The Wall Street Journal, calls “the president’s creeping authoritarianism.”

Obama has had four and a half years to pursue his goal of “transforming” America and, along the way, he has continually expressed his disdain for the constraints of the Constitution, his contempt for Congress and the Supreme Court, and, if his recent speeches are any indication, his belief that enough Americans are so dumb they will believe anything he says.

Overall, there is a growing sense of foreboding as four in five Americans are facing some degree of poverty and a small chance of finding work. One can feel the nation slowing down, its momentum sapped, its national sense of optimism being drained.

Obama’s financial spy plan moves US towards Orwellian police state | EUTimes.net

March 17, 2013 1 comment

The Obama administration’s financial spying plan, which if enacted will grant spy agencies access to US citizens’ finance data, is a shocking attack on personal freedom, independent journalist Charlie McGrath has told RT.

The planning document recently obtained by Reuters, dated March 4, showed that the legislation is primarily aimed at targeting and tracking terrorist cells, exposing money-laundering schemes, tracing criminal syndicates and curbing corruption. However, though the plan is still in its early stages, it has sparked mass outrage with many calling it a cover for wide-ranging surveillance net desired by the US government.

“Sold as an effort to stop international terror groups, the proposed measure pushes us ever closer to a complete Orwellian Police State where you are guilty without cause, evidence, or even accusation,” McGrath, founder of Wide Awake News told RT.McGrath said the proposed law is in line with legislation like the NDAA and PATRIOT Act, what he called an “ongoing assault on liberty that has been implemented since 911.”

“The future of freedom seems quite clear,” McGrath concluded. At the same time, experts are skeptical that the legislation would result in a significant increase in arrests of terrorist. “But more citizens could end up being caught up in the financial crosshairs,” Margaret Bogenrief, a founding partner of ACM Partners financial advisory firm told RT.

Is Obama Getting Ready To Seize Power?

March 13, 2013 1 comment

This is a theory that I have put together to make the case for Obama seizing power. First, lets look at the facts.Obama has issued many executive orders pertaining to peacetime Martial Law, he has control of drone strikes against American citizens on US soil, and he signed the National Defense Authorization Act into law.

Reasons for his actions: unknown. The Department of Homeland Security has recently purchased millions of rounds of ammunition and 7,000 assault rifles. “I am the Commander-in-Chief,” Obama explained. “It is every soldier’s duty to carry out my orders without hesitation or mental reservation. No religious dogma can be permitted to interfere with this duty.”

The genesis of the so-called “right of conscience” clause in the legislation was the desire to allow chaplains to be excused from performing gay marriages if their religious beliefs are opposed to the concept.

The consensus is that a major economic event is expected, and that it will be used to provide cover for the institution of draconian policies being readied behind the curtain.

The exact timing of this event is not clear, but we do know the planning is being done, and that provisions are being put in place.

I Question Your Patriotism…If you support the imperial troops, says Laurence Vance…

January 1, 2013 Leave a comment

I have been called a lot of things since I began writing about ten years ago on the folly of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the evils of the U.S. military, and the belligerence of U.S. foreign policy.

Many of the things I have been called I can’t repeat because they are so vile and filthy. However, the negative e-mails have tapered off quite a bit over the years since these wars have turned out to be such debacles.

One charge that has been consistently leveled against me is that I am unpatriotic because I don’t “support the troops” as they invade and occupy other countries and mete out death and destruction to “insurgents” and “terrorists.” But who is really being unpatriotic? I think it is long past time that we question the patriotism of those who do “support the troops” in their foreign wars, occupations, interventions, and escapades.

For months now we have heard how the United States must “do something” and intervene in Syria to end the brutal regime of Bashar al-Assad and stop the violence that has led to the deaths of 40,000 people since the outbreak of an anti-regime revolt last year. The familiar cry that dictator x might use chemical weapons on his own people is being resurrected to garner support for U.S. intervention.

Far from simply providing an authorization for the money needed to defend this country, which I of course support, this authorization and its many predecessors have long been used to fuel militarization, enrich the military industrial complex, expand our empire overseas, and purchase military and other enormously expensive equipment that we do not need and in large part does not work anyway.

They wrap all of this mess up in false patriotism, implying that Members who do not vote for these boondoggles do not love their country.

Congress Considers Taxing Internet Sales

Some Republicans are siding with Democrats around the proposition that online sales should be taxed. Now, Congress is adding a rider to the National Defense Authorization Act that would allow such a tax. The so-called Marketplace Fairness Act, which also has a House counterpart, the Marketplace Equity Act, will allow states to collect sales taxes on retailers who are located out of state.

Kiss Your Bill Of Rights Goodbye…

December 1, 2012 1 comment

In December of 2011 on New Year’s Eve, President Barack Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), declaring the entire United States a “battlefield” and giving the U.S. government the right to detain an American citizen indefinitely and even assassinate them, if they are suspected of terrorism—without due process.

Then, in March of 2012, Obama signed the National Defense Resources Preparedness Executive Order (NDRP) that effectively declares peacetime martial law, giving the President authority over food and water, production, fuel, transportation, livestock and more if the government decides it is an emergency.

Since September 11, 2001, the government has found every way to make exceptions to our Fourth Amendment protections and claim legal right to search and seizure of our private property—all in the name of safety, of course.

But haven’t the terrorists “won” when America ceases to be America? They want to kill our freedoms and they want us to live in fear. They don’t have to do much, because our own government is moving their agenda along by killing our Constitution.

The average, law-abiding American may not see the small yet consistent changes in our Bill of Rights protections, but we are the ones who need to pay attention to these attacks on our freedom and stop them before government takes total control.

At one point or another, the long arm of the government will reach into every American home and by then, it will be too late to change our path.

This plan has been in effect for 100 years, but the powers that be have been unsuccessful thus far.

A major turning point was in the wild wild and turbulent 1960s when various methods of control began working against We The People, bringing them into the fold:

Rock and roll/soul/rhythym and blues music and later country and western music . . . the LSD/marijuana drug culture . . . free love . . . homosexuality as the norm . . . rise of the entertainment industry . . . rise of the Internet . . . fluoridation of the water supply . . . mass-media brainwashing of the population . . . dumbing down of education on all levels . . . collapse of the economy and world markets . . . collapse of the US dollar . . . confiscation of precious metals like gold and silver and manipulation of those markets . . . subjugation of all Constitutional rights of We The People . . . outlawing dissent . . . instituting the Patriot Act, NDAA, Department of Homeland Security and TSA . . . and attempting to outlaw publicly shared and published conspiracy theories.

Just before Hurricane Sandy, Obama signed executive order merging Homeland Security with private sector to create virtual dictatorship

November 8, 2012 Leave a comment

NaturalNews While all eyes were on Hurricane Sandy in the days leading up to the storm’s breach on the mainland of the Northeast, the White House was busy devising new ways to enslave Americans under the guise of protecting national security.

On October 26, 2012, Barack Obama quietly signed an Executive Order EO establishing the so-called Homeland Security Partnership Council, a public-private partnership that basically merges the Department of Homeland Security DHS with local governments and the private sector for the implied purpose of giving the Executive Branch complete and limitless control over the American people. One of the most effective ways by which the federal government has been able to spread its tendrils into every level of state, regional, and local governments in years past has been to continually convince the people that terrorism lurks around every corner, and that the federal government is needed to provide safety. This, of course, is how blatantly unconstitutional provisions like the Patriot Act and the National Defense Authorization Act NDAA were able to get passed with relative ease — without these draconian expansions of federal control over American affairs, the terrorists will win, we were all told.

White House forming nationwide secret police to monitor lives of AmericansThis is precisely the angle being taken with the new EO, except it goes even further in conflating federal power structures with local governments and the private sector. Based on the eery language contained in the EO, the federal government appears ready to begin rapidly expanding its command and control operations at the local level by establishing a vast network of homeland security “partnerships” throughout the country, which will be tasked with reporting back to the central command center and feeding “intelligence” information as requested by federal officials…….

Judge Napolitano: I think he probably continues to go around the country, keeping the dialogue going of small government and maximum individual liberty. I think he probably passes the mantel to his son, Senator Paul. Senator Paul and Governor Johnson probably battle it out and if they can’t come to some kind of agreement as to who will personify human freedom and who, in public life, will be the champion of it.

I think that’s probably a good thing because I think the movement will continue to grow.

With Congressman Paul free from congressional duties he might actually stir up the pot even more then he’s done already. My next book, which comes out after election day, is an assault on the progressive era, dedicated to Ron Paul in large measure because no person in these times has done more to remind people about the loss of liberty than he. He has been an inspiration to millions and among those millions is me.

Daily Bell: Are you a backer of Rand’s generally?

The Air Force predicts that in ten years there’ll be 30,000 drones in the sky at any given moment and that some of them will be the size of golf balls and some will be the size of mosquitoes, and nobody is complaining about that. People seem willing to give up their privacy in exchange for safety.

People forget they need protection from the government.People are confusing freedom and safety. Freedom does not promote safety; freedom promotes unfettered choices, free from government interference. It accepts the fact that there will be some dangerous things in society but it assumes that risk from danger without is a more desirable state of affairs than an authoritarian government than within.

Prison Planet.com » Obama Interview with Ben Swann on NDAA, Kill Lists, and Syria

While on a campaign swing through Ohio, President Barack Obama sat down with Fox 19reporter Ben Swann to discuss a variety of national security and constitutional issues.Swann is an investigative journalist known for his analysis segment called Reality Check.

His reports have covered everything from the rules-approval scandal at the recent Republican National Convention to the indefinite detention of Americans as authorized by the National Defense Authorization ActNDAA.The interview begins with Swann asking the president why his administration is fighting an injunction issued by a federal judge prohibiting the indefinite detention of American citizens under Sections 1021 and 1022 of the NDAA for 2011.“My first job is to keep the American people safe,” Obama responds.

There are two problems immediately apparent in the president’s answer.First, keeping the American people safe is not the president’s job. Article II Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution spells out the presidential oath of office. The oath taken by the president commits him to the best of his ability to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

A d v e r t i s e m e n tSigning acts purporting to grant himself the power to send American troops to detain and indefinitely imprison American citizens without being charged with a crime or tried on the merits of those charges is not how the Constitution should be preserved, protected, or defended.

Denial, dhimmitude, subservience. What do you expect from today’s military establishment? In reality, no amount of “respect for Islam” and humility from American troops will prevent these attacks, because the imperative for them is rooted in Islam’s doctrines of warfare against unbelievers. But since the U.S. Army prefers to pretend that those doctrines don’t exist, we get this.

This past May, Federal Judge Katherine B. Forrest blocked that provision, as reported on June 7th at RT.com,

Readers will recall that controversy that surrounded the liberty-threatening NDAA legislation, passed with bipartisan support in the House and Senate and signed into law by Barack Hussein Obama last New Year’s Eve.That law essentially gave the government the right to arrest and detain, without due process, American citizens on significantly vague and broad charges ostensibly related to terrorism.

Should President Obama (alongside Lindsay Graham and John McCain) be wearing an orange jumpsuit?

Should Obama And Congress Be Arrested Under The NDAA?

Welcome to the beautiful and surreal reality of life under American corporatism, under a Congress that churns out thousands  and thousands of pages of (often contradictory) legislation a year.

If providing material assistance to al-Qaeda is illegal under the National Defence Authorization Act (2012), and Obama and Congress are sending $25 million of aid to al-Qaeda-affiliated Syrian opposition, aren’t Congress and President Obama violating their own law? Should Obama (or at least the Justice Department) not be using “all necessary and appropriate force” including “the power to indefinitely detain” to prevent Obama and Congress from assisting al-Qaeda? Did anyone in Congress or the Obama administration even bother to read the law that they were signing? Do Federal laws no longer apply to lawmakers?

Obama preparing for citizen uprising? (“Could this be about not being able to warn others that something is going on in your neighborhood or that it’s headed their way?”)

July 17, 2012 3 comments

Could this be about not being able to warn others that something is going on in your neighborhood or that it’s headed their way?

Over the past week, the Internet and talk radio have been buzzing about an Executive Order quietly signed by President Obama that allegedly authorizes the Department of Homeland Security to get ready to shut down all domestic communication in case of a declared national emergency. Let me repeat: All domestic communication, which includes “New Generation Systems” – a.k.a. the Internet – within the United States.

Just exactly what qualifies as a “national emergency” is not clearly defined. But something tells me we’ll soon find out.

GyGRet

White House Executive Order 13618, signed July 6, 2012, and titled “Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communications Functions,” could be used to prevent communication between U.S. citizens, allege some concerned, thus allowing the president to eliminate any and all opposition to his plans. You decide. The complete EO can be read here.

Perhaps that’s Rand’s idea of playing politics? Come to the table, strike a deal, get what you can. Trouble is, it’s tough striking a good deal when the guy on the other side of the table believes that the government should be allowed to claim — without having to produce any evidence whatsoever — that certain people are terrorists, and therefore should be detained indefinitely without any kind of due process.

Chuck Baldwin — Update On NDAA And Drones Flying Over The US

May 25, 2012 Leave a comment

In a stunning upset for the Obama administration and big-government zealots in general, a federal judge in New York has issued an injunction against the citizen detention portion of the National Defense Authorization Act NDAA. Bob Unruh at World Net Daily has the story.

Chuck Baldwin

“A district-court judge has suspended enforcement of a law that could strip U.S. citizens of their civil rights and allow indefinite detention of individuals President Obama believes to be in support of terror.”The Obama administration has refused to ensure that the First Amendment rights of authors and writers who express contrary positions or report on terror group activities are protected under his new National Defense Authorization Act.”Targeted in the stunning ruling from U.S. District Judge Katherine B. Forrest of New York was Paragraph 1021 of the NDAA, which Obama signed into law last Dec. 31.
