Depending on whom you ask, the enormous monument carved into Georgia’s Stone Mountain is either a proud statement or a blight and an embarrassment.
Depicting the only president of the Confederate States, Jefferson Davis, riding beside Gens. Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson, it’s two football fields wide, making it the largest of its kind.
The NBC station 11 Alive reports that a petition that seeks to remake this famous—and infamous—landmark is causing controversy.

“It’s almost like a black eye or an embarrassing smudge on our culture,” the petition’s creator, McCartney Forde, told local 11.
Forde’s online petition on Change.org calls for changes to be made to the mountainside carving, first conceived in 1923 by a charter member of the Daughters of the Confederacy but not completed until 1972.
He writes, “The three men embossed on the face of arguably the most famous landmark in the great state of Georgia are icons for what is widely considered the darkest period in our nation’s history. … It is a monument that perpetuates the perception of Georgia as an icon of racism, slavery and oppression.”
Forde suggests that the current carving be removed and replaced with a monument to Georgia veterans.

After the call, he mused that some evenings when everyone was asleep, he’d sip an adult beverage and think about possibly buying some time on network TV to try and reach Americans who don’t get info anywhere else. (Snerdly cracked that he could get that time cheaper on NBC.)

At approx 4:15 EST Hannity (radio) interviews Ted Cruz. At the end of the conversation Hannity asks Cruz if he is eligible to run for POTUS. Cruz dodges the question, but Hannity pushes. Cruz says his focus is on our country’s problems and he’ll leave it to others to decide if he’s NBC.
When Hannity keeps it going Cruz says he was born of an American mother avoiding place of birth. Hannity brings up the Canadian birth. Cruz says he had American citizenship at birth because of his mother.

Earlier this week, the government sent a summary of its legal memos on presidential use of drones to kill persons overseas — even Americans — to an NBC newsroom. This was done after more than a year of stonewalling federal judges and ordinary citizens who sought the revelation of the government’s secret legal research justifying the president’s use of drones.
The administration claimed the research was so sensitive and so secret that it could not be revealed without serious consequences.

It’s too bad “Meet the Press” doesn’t have a laugh track. Obama’s interviewer, David Gregory, was willing to flagrantly violate D.C. gun laws to beat up on NRA executive Wayne LaPierre, but when President Obama takes the stage to drop insane howlers like that, America’s top outlaw journalist just sits quietly and nods.

In truth, nothing about Obama’s record in office, re-election campaign, or fiscal cliff policy has been even slightly non-partisan or non-ideological. This kind of posturing gives partisanship and ideology a bad name – voters do band together into parties and vote for candidates based upon their campaign promises, after all. Whether or not either position is correct, a Republican’s ideological commitment to low taxes is no more illegitimate than Barack Obama’s stern ideological commitment to raising them.

School Obama’s Daughters Attend Has 11 Armed Guards [school employees - not secret service]
Some interesting news has broken in the wake of the latest push for gun control by President Obama and Senate Democrats: Obama sends his kids to a school where armed guards are used as a matter of fact.
The school, Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, has 11 security officers and is seeking to hire a new police officer as we speak.

If you dismiss this by saying, “Of course they have armed guards — they get Secret Service protection,” then you’ve missed the larger point.
The larger point is that this is standard operating procedure for the school, period. And this is the reason people like NBC’s David Gregory send their kids to Sidwell, they know their kids will be protected from the carnage that befell kids at a school where armed guards weren’t used (and weren’t even allowed).
Shame on President Obama for seeking more gun control and for trying to prevent the parents of other school children from doing what he has clearly done for his own. His children sit under the protection guns afford, while the children of regular Americans are sacrificed.

Since NBC sportscaster Bob Costas went on his halftime anti-gun rant on Sunday using words written by Fox Sports Columnist Jason Whitlock, we’ve heard a lot from the media and from uniformed commentators about America’s “gun culture.” The fact is, America actually has two gun cultures and it is important to distinguish them from one another.
The first gun culture is deeply seeded in American history and her founding. Founding Fathers like George Washington understood that an armed citizenry would prevent government tyranny, which is why we have the Second Amendment. This is a concept rapper Ice-T understands but sadly doesn’t promote in his songs.

In an interview on NBC’s Nightly News, “Lincoln” director Steven Spielberg drew comparisons between the iconic 16th president, and Barack Obama.
“Lincoln advocated things that we hold dear today, like class warfare, gay marriage, and giving everybody a free cell phone,” said Spielberg. “He advocated that government can be a positive force for the good of all people, especially if you’re lazy and not white.”

Now that our elections have proven to be a sham and our political system has been shown to be hopelessly corrupt, Americans who believe in the Constitution and the rule of law must now choose either to succumb or to fight.
The Obama regime, the Democrat Party, and the mainstream media are the enemies of honest government. You cannot collaborate or compromise with the enemy. Continuous active and passive measures must now be taken to oppose, undermine, and destroy them as viable political entities.

“I intend to be president for another four years,” Obama said when asked by Williams if he had at least entertained the possibility of losing.
“The truth of the matter is, in my family what we’re thinking about is making sure that Malia and Sasha are doing their homework,” Obama told NBC in an interview that aired Thursday on “Rock Center.”
“There will be plenty of time over the next four years to consider how I can be a productive citizen in a post-presidency,” Obama said.

House Homeland Security Chairman Peter King (R-N.Y.) tonight called on U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice to resign from her post in light of comments she made regarding the nature of the attack earlier this month on a U.S. consulate in Libya.
Rice, whose name has been floated as a potential replacement for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, told NBC and ABC on Sept. 16 that evidence at the time suggested the attacks that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were “spontaneous.” Since then, President Barack Obama has indicated the attacks were, in fact, planned and are being considered “a terrorist attack.”

Does anybody remember Tawana Brawley, the fake rape victim Sharpton used as his first stepping-stone to national fame (or should I say infamy)?
But I can’t remember a time when the media were so eager to give nationwide publicity to every vicious lie and racist accusation. Forget about trying to get calmer heads to prevail or any of that nonsense about not rushing to judgment. The media want someone’s head on a platter (or at least George Zimmerman’s body in jail). And they want it now.

America, beware of the wolf in sheep’s clothing. I have been saying for the past three and a half years that America needs to look at the big picture of what is going on.
Obama and his regime have been laying the groundwork for a communist take over of the United States, but the majority of Americans have barely noticed. In the fast paced world of the mainstream media ,anything that was news yesterday is barely a blip on the radar today, if at all.
Unless, of course, it is something racist. News in the mainstream media is being recycled so fast now that most Americans barely have time to digest it. Let’s take a look at what has been happening, shall we?
First, the National Defense Authorization Act was signed into law, allowing US citizens to be arrested and held without charges or trial indefinately.
Then came HR347, a law that would restrict our first amendment rights to free speech in which we can be charged with a felony for exercising our rights in a government sactioned “no free speech zone.” Then there is Obama’s latest executive order allowing a government take-over of private industry and infrastructure during PEACE TIME. The following video will demonstrate a few more examples of where America is headed if we don’t wake up and DEMAND a return to Constitutional principles soon.
Recently, Obama’s blatant atack on the Supreme court has raised a few eyebrows, but I can assure you that within days, it will be forgotten. Two NBC journalists were handcuffed and threatened by Chicago police after attempting to report on the murder of a 6-year-old girl yesterday, NBC Chicago reports.
Another NBC journalist was also detained by police outside Mt. Sinai Hospital, where the girl had been taken following a fatal shooting during city wide violence over the weekend.
Police were called to the hospital shortly after reporters arrived on the scene. The journalists said they has already moved away from a public sidewalk and across the street at the request of the police.
One police officer was then caught on camera telling other members of the media “Your First Amendment right can be terminated if you’re creating a scene or whatever. Your First Amendment right has got limitations.”
When the reporters asked for clarification on how they were creating a scene, the officer replied, “Your presence is creating a scene.”
“This is what we do for a living!” one reporter replied, before another added“You’ve got a lawsuit coming.”
“I don’t care about no damn lawsuit!” the officer fired back. “F*ck a lawsuit. Just ’cause you sue doesn’t mean you’re going to win.”
Photographer Donte Williams and WGN Reporter Dan Ponce were then handcuffed and briefly detained by the officer, who threatened them with trespassing charges.

It is now official. The mainstream media is no longer covering Ron Paul’s presidential campaign.
A few weeks ago Dylan Byers of Politico reported that NBC News was the only media organization that still had a reporter covering Ron Paul full-time.
Now Byers has filed an update revealing that Anthony Terrell of NBC News has also been reassigned.
“Ron Paul is officially embedless.” writes Byers, adding that NBC has refused to comment on the decision.
Byers also reveals that other mainstream organizations, including Fox News, have no intention of putting a reporter back out full-time.
“Paul doesn’t have as many events right now as the other candidates in the race,” Hunter Ryan, the politics editor at Fox News Channel, told Byers.
“He is focusing on certain states. I am planning on covering him… [and] a combination of embed and bureau resources will be used to cover Paul going forward.”
“For most political reporters, he is all but irrelevant to the future of the GOP contest.” Byers adds.

Now yet more evidence has emerged that highlights the level to which the media is purposefully sidelining the Libertarian Congressman.

During Last night’s NBC hosted GOP debate in Florida, Ron Paul was once again roundly ignored and dismissed as a potential candidate.
Paul spoke for less than 6 minutes out of the hour long debate. He was skipped over completely on three questions when everyone else got to speak, and was not offered the chance to respond to several attacks on his policies from the other candidates.
In comparison, Romney and Gingrich were afforded close to 35 minutes of speaking time, not even taking into account the now ubiquitous bickering between the two that viewers had to once again endure.

Yet another neocon Republican establishment political hack has demonstrated ignorance, deceit, and bad manners in yet another attack on Ron Paul.

This time it is one Jeffrey Lord, a “contributing editor” to The American Spectator magazine. Writing in a January 15 article on the Philly.com Web site, Lord feigns outrage over the fact that five years ago Ron Paul told NBC’s “Meet the Press” that the Civil War was unnecessary to end slavery.
Lord is being deceitful here by taking what Ron Paul said out of context. I remember Ron Paul’s appearance on that show, and the point he was making was that all the rest of the world – the British, Spaniards, French, Dutch, Danes, Swedes, the Northern states in the U.S. – ended slavery peacefully in the nineteenth century. His point was that we should have done what the British did, and used tax dollars to purchase the freedom of the slaves and then ended it forever. That, Said Ron Paul, would have been preferable to a war that ended up killing over 650,000 Americans (850,000 according the the very latest historical research) while destroying a large part of the U.S. economy. Lord is obviously ignorant of all of this history.
Lord cites my book, The Real Lincoln, to feign additional outrage over the fact that I supposedly called Lincoln a “Dictator-President.” He apparently suffered a case of the vapors when he discovered that Ron Paul listed The Real Lincoln as “recommended reading” at the end of his own book, Revolution: A Manifesto.

In this morning’s GOP presidential debate, NBC moderator David Gregory asked Texas Governor Rick Perry a question about electability.

Governor Perry took it a step further and laid out the three big questions primary voters should be asking themselves: “Who is it that can beat Obama? Who is it that can invigorate the tea party? Who is it that can take the message of smaller outsider government that’s truly going to change that place?”
While the mainstream media and party establishment have been obsessed with that first question for months, the other two have been virtually ignored in their zeal to push Republicans to settle once again for a non-conservative nominee. With the actual voting underway, it’s more than time to ask (and answer) those other two questions.
When it comes to invigorating the grassroots activists who were instrumental in the shellacking President Obama and his Congressional cronies took in the 2010 midterm elections, Governor Perry demonstrated once again that he is the candidate that can inspire the tea party.

Last Monday, November 14th, the National Broadcasting Corporation announced that have hired the estimable Chelsea Clinton as a full-time special correspondent for NBC News.
