Polite, gentle Republicans are wearisome. In the face of the America-destroying policies of this enemy-within horde of criminal thugs under the crook-in-chief, Barack Obama (or whatever his name is), I would think the Republicans would be brave enough—at least for America’s sake—to leave their mealy mouths at the door and tell it like it is. But, with very few exceptions, they continue to pussy-foot around the outrageous actions and brazen lies of the oligarchy of communist Democrats ruling our nation.

We are sick of watching the “opposition” Republicans stand meekly by and let the Democrats get away with lie after atrocious lie. It happened again on Tuesday in the wake of the terrible explosion on Monday night at the Hawthorne Army Depot in Nevada that killed seven of our precious Marines.

The scare tactics that Democrats from President Obama on down have employed to wring political benefit out of the sequester have apparently hit a despicable new low. In comments made about the deaths overnight of seven U.S. Marines in a training incident in Nevada, Dem Senator Harry Reid reportedly suggested that we may see more such incidents because the sequester cuts put Marines at risk.

NBC military correspondent Jim Miklaszewski, appearing on Andrea Mitchell‘s MSNBC show this afternoon, reported that the Marines have strongly rejected Reid’s claim, and that one Marine official accused Reid of “pure political posturing on the backs of these dead Marines.” Check back soon for the video.

This is where all that money that gets stolen from your paycheck goes to, a Zombie UFO Crash Drill, brought to you by FEMA and the US taxpayers.

Opposing Views Broke the story of David Lory VanDerBeek, who is running for Governor in Nevada in 2014. He recently posted a screenshot from the FEMA website of a supposed Zombie UFO Crash Disaster full-scale exercise drill planned for April 27th, 2013, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

According to his website NevadaGovernor2014.com, the exercise was planned in Moscow, Idaho involving 100 participants. However, after VanDerBeek posted his article about the bizarre exercise, he claims that FEMA pulled the page down and replaced it with a statement that the information is now “only available to coalition members.”

Estimating where exactly illegal immigrants reside in the United States is tricky, but the Pew Hispanic Center did just that in 2011 for each state.

Although California has the highest number of illegal immigrants, Nevada has the largest proportion of illegal immigrants—7.2 percent of the state population and as much as 10 percent of its workforce. California and Texas follow at just under 7 percent of their populations, with New Jersey and Arizona rounding out the top five.

Crooked Politics: Obama Lost in Every State With Photo ID Law

November 9, 2012 Leave a comment

November 7 | Was the election stolen? Remember all those lawsuits by Democrats demanding that any voter identification laws be repealed. Well, now we know why they filed them. They needed to steal the vote in certain key states so that Obama could be reelected.

Curiously, Obama lost in every state that requires a photo ID to be produced before voting. A list of closely contested state elections with no voter ID, which narrowly went to Obama include: Minnesota (10), Iowa (6), Wisconsin (10), Nevada (6), Colorado (9), New Mexico (5) and Pennsylvania (20). This amounts to a total of 66 electoral votes. When added to Romney’s total of 205 electoral votes, that would give Romney 271 electoral votes, enough votes to win even without Ohio or Florida.

Libertarian Johnson could help Romney in Nevada

October 13, 2012 Leave a comment

While some may roll their eyes at Libertarian Party presidential nominee and marijuana-legalization champion Gary Johnson, recent polling shows that his presence on the ballot could have an effect on the presidential race, at least in Nevada.

A Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey released Wednesday found President Barack Obama has a four-point lead over Republican nominee Mitt Romney in Nevada (51-47 percent). But when Johnson is thrown into the mix, the former New Mexico governor garners three percent of the vote, largely pulling voters from Obama.

“When Gary Johnson’s included he gets 3 percent and actually takes mostly from Obama, pulling his lead over Romney down to 48/47,” PPP explained. “That could be something worth keeping an eye on.”

With due respect to Professor Block, I think he’s giving up on 2012 too easily. Ron Paul won’t be the Republican presidential nominee this year – but there’s still the matter of the vice presidency.

No, I’m not suggesting Mitt Romney will pick Ron Paul as his running mate. Legally, however, it’s not up to Romney to pick the party’s vice-presidential nominee, but the Republican National Convention. Jeff Taylor recently pointed out in The American Conservative the dubious restrictions that “pledge” delegates to support Romney on the first presidential ballot do not extend to any vice-presidential choice he might make:

Paul may not have the five-state pluralities to allow him to officially “seek” the presidential nomination at the convention, but delegates who are bound to Romney for president are not bound to anyone for vice president. In other words, Paul supporters from Nevada who are obligated to vote for Romney on the first ballot for president are free to vote for whomever they choose on the balloting for vice president (if there is balloting).

When things didn’t go the way the pro-Romney leadership wanted them to go, they simply created a new GOP to replace the old one. That’s what happened in Nevada when Ron Paul supporters managed to gain control of the state’s Republican Party apparatus at the state convention.

In response, the pro-Romney and establishment Republican forces broke off and formed Team Nevada which is essentially a shadow Republican party. In addition, by pledging support to Romney, Team Nevada is receiving funding from the Republican National Committee. If all goes as planned on the Romney side, Team Nevada will provide Nevada’s delegates to the Republican National Convention. The duly-elected Ron Paul delegates, who were elected through state and local conventions in Nevada, will be barred from the convention floor.

The corporate media is abuzz with headlines saying that Ron Paul has finally seen the light, thrown in the towel, and ended his campaign.

However, Ron Paul supporters believe that – while he won’t be campaigning in the primary states – Paul is still in the race, and will be focusing on winning delegates in caucus states. For example, Policy Mic argues: Ron Paul announced today in a letter to supporters that he will not campaign for the popular vote in states that have yet to held their primaries.

In his under-reported IDD strategy “It’s the Delegates, Dummy”, Paul has focused on the fact that presidential nominees are chosen by delegates, not by popular vote.

Paul’s campaign has focused to date especially on states that allow committed Republican Party members to have a greater voice in the process. States like Iowa, Nevada, Maine, Louisiana, Washington, and Colorado have been states where Paul supporters have made tremendous inroads in winning party leadership positions and being influential in the national delegate selection process.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v73/gunnyg/drronpaulrev.jpg

While many states have yet to finish the delegate selection process, it increasingly looks like Paul could dominate the nationwide delegate process called long ago in Romney’s favor.

Paul’s announcement today fits that same vein, but will no doubt surprise many of his supporters.

Idaho Ron Paul Supporters Plan To Take Control of State Convention

Word out of Idaho is that the Ron Paul bloc in the Gem State’s GOP, perhaps encouraged by recent events at the Nevada and Maine state Republican conventions, plans to attempt a similar strategy.

According to local media, many supporters of Ron Paul in Idaho are “so disgusted” with their man’s third place finish in the Idaho caucus that they are anxiously engaged in righting that wrong.

How serious are the backers of the libertarian-leaning Texas Congressman? “I’ll do the scorched earth if I have to,” declared Ryan Davidson, third vice chairman of the Ada County Republican Party and a grassroots Paul campaign organizer.

The plan as it’s been revealed is for the Paul camp to use state party rules to their advantage and wrest control of the GOP state convention in June through the accumulation of delegates in the little-publicized precinct committee meetings to be held statewide on May 15.

In a video posted to YouTube, Davidson boldly describes the scheme:

If two-thirds of the delegates to the Idaho State Convention are Ron Paul supporters, they can vote to suspend the rules, overturn the results of the caucus and award all the national delegates to Ron Paul.

Attempts to divide and disrupt official Ron Paul delegate slates; Romney sends in lawyer that stole election for Bush in 2000

May 7, 2012

Two separate incidents captured on video this weekend reveal desperate attempts by Mitt Romney operatives to divide and disrupt official Ron Paul endorsed delegate slates by handing out fake ballots to attendees at the state conventions in Nevada and Maine.

The video below captured by Ron Paul supporters in Nevada on Saturday exposes a provocateur wearing a Ron Paul T-shirt being caught handing out a fake delegate ballot in an attempt to dilute Ron Paul supporters’ votes.

The ballot that the man was handing out looked very similar to the official Ron Paul endorsed slate, and was even printed on the same lime green colour paper. However, the names on the ballot were different.

It is not clear whether the man was officially affiliated with Romney, however, it is clear that he had a fake ID and was passing out fraudulent documents designed specifically to look like the official Ron Paul delegate slate for Nevada.

Watch the video:

A d v e r t i s e m e n t

Remarkably, this was not an isolated incident. The very same thing happened in Maine, indicating that there has been a coordinated effort by Romney operatives to trick Ron Paul supporters into diluting their votes.

As Paul campaign volunteer Ginger Taylor explains in the following video, Romney supporters circulated not one but two different slates, to make Paul voters think there had been a change in the official list of delegate nominees that were being endorsed by the Paul campaign.

Officials are petrified that Paul’s army of supporters are in position to take up more delegate slots than Mitt Romney supporters. Eugene Narrett — Shadow Masters Scramble Campaign While Admin Trashes 1st Amendment

February 11, 2012 Leave a comment

Several weeks ago, Newt Gingrich was the first to emphasize the fact that the current administration is engaged in a war against religion, specifically the Scriptural foundation of America. He also was the first to stress that the choice in November would be between a State that pushes people into dependency and manages their lives and one that encourages the ability to find work particular to one’s abilities; to liberate Americans from the lethal hand of government ‘regulation’ (‘protection’).

Now candidates Santorum and Romney are stressing these points, the former with more frequency and credibility, given his background. Anyone who saw and heard Romney speak after the Nevada and Minnesota, Colorado and Missouri votes know that he makes great speeches that succinctly identify and criticize the policies of the current President.

This is nice but no surprise for he can afford excellent speech writers. They are doing a good job but it doesn’t tell us much about him except that he relies on speech writers and attack ads (now targeting Santorum).

His handlers are positioning Romney as an ‘outsider,’ a quaint appellation for someone who has been Governor of Massachusetts. Perhaps they can accomplish this redefinition; surely with the media’s help they could. Romney does not hate America or Americans as some high officials do. When he spoke of his father, with whom he grew up and saw work, he spoke with obvious pride, love and firsthand knowledge of how someone can realize the American dream by hard work rather than by magic, underground channels or autobiographies of dubious provenance. Romney is tall and rugged with clean-cut, square features; his black hair, perhaps natural, is grayed at the temples in aesthetically perfect fashion and he looks natural in jeans and a white shirt, sleeves rolled up (ready to work) and displaying manly forearms.

Reporting from Washington— The last time Nevada Republicans caucused in a presidential contest, they delivered a stunning second-place finish to Texas Rep. Ron Paul, the libertarian-minded candidate who had been largely written off, averaging last place in polls leading up to caucus day.

The lesson was that Paul may not appeal to a broad base of voters, but the people who like him can be counted on to turn up and disproportionately represent themselves at caucus events, which typically draw few participants.

Four years later, Paul has turned the lesson of Nevada into a national campaign strategy, focusing his attention on caucus states where his loyal followers could keep him in the delegate hunt.

Speaker Gingrich asked me if he could count on my vote to re-elect him speaker. I told him no, he could not. He asked angrily, “Why not?”

I told him I could not commit to him because Republicans had lost seats in the House under his leadership and I believed he had let the Conservative revolution fizzle out.

Prison Planet.com » Why Ron Paul Has A Good Chance Of Winning In Nevada & Maine

February 1, 2012 4 comments

While Mitt Romney walked home an inevitable victory in the winner takes all Florida primary this week, the Ron Paul 2012 campaign was busy campaigning in Maine and Nevada, where the Congressman’s team has been busy building on a six figure ad buy.

Ron Paul, member of the United States House of...

Image via Wikipedia

Paul’s campaign has a lot riding on Nevada where the Congressman, scheduled to hold a major press conference in Las Vegas today, has polled consistently high for weeks.

Indeed, Paul has been running ads in The Silver State since last summer in anticipation of the caucuses which begin this Saturday, Feb 4th. When Paul unveiled his centerpiece budget plan last October, he did it in Las Vegas.

Four years ago Paul placed second in Nevada behind Mitt Romney. This time around Paul’s support has grown exponentially, while Romney’s has more or less remained the same. The Congressman has had two offices open in Nevada for months and has amassed a sizeable army of volunteers to canvass for the campaign, just as he did in Iowa and New Hampshire. In contrast, Newt Gingrich only opened an office in the state last weekend.

Furthermore, as noted in the Wall Street Journal today:

Paul’s core supporters have been campaigning in Nevada since September, and a group of Paul backers made a coordinated effort to become elected as Republican officers in their local party groups after a delegate dispute in the state party convention in 2008. “The ground game and the grass-roots activity never stopped,” said Carl Bunce, chairman of Mr. Paul’s campaign in Nevada.

As the article notes, it is Paul and Romney that hold the cards in Nevada – Paul because of his strong organization, and Romney because Mormons account for more than one-quarter of caucus-goers.

Paul has chosen to focus on Nevada because TV advertising is cheaper and independents are eligible to vote in the caucuses.

A d v e r t i s e m e n t

The Congressman is tapping into the $13.3 million that his campaign raised in the fourth quarter of 2011. Paperwork submitted to the Federal Election Commission Tuesday revealed that Paul hauled in over $3.5 million more than Newt Gingrich. The former Speaker of the House is also in debt to the tune of $1.2 million.

Rick Santorum resides way behind in terms of contributions, with just $915,000 for Q4, still by far, his best fundraising quarter for the year, however.

Romney tapped into his vast establishment connections and brought in $24.3 million between October and the end of the year.

Why Did Obama Not Attend Thursday’s Hearing in Atlanta?

January 29, 2012 1 comment

Barack Hussein Obama’s Georgia counsel, Michael Jablonski, had stated that it was “unreasonable1” to expect Obama to attend the ballot challenge hearing in Atlanta on January 26 at 9:00 a.m. ET.The White House has been posting Obama’s activities day by day this week2, and the schedule now reflects that his schedule was open on Thursday morning.

However, The Post & Email has been told by a source that Obama watched the entire hearing remotely. Is that why his morning schedule was open?At the beginning of this week, the presidential schedule was devoid of entries3.

Various external reports were published each morning stating that he planned a trip to the West beginning on Wednesday following his State of the Union address. Currently, the schedule shows4 that he spent time in Nevada on Thursday and then flew to Michigan for an address on Friday morning.During the early afternoon hours on Friday, Obama went to Cambridge, MD and was scheduled to return to the White House at 3:00 p.m. for a 3:30 meeting with Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton5.

Libertarian former governor could siphon votes from Republican candidates in Nevada

Las Vegas Sun ^ | Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011 | David McGrath Schwartz

Posted on Saturday, December 31, 2011 5:19:10 PM by presidio9

Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson didn’t get any traction as a Republican running for president. But with his decision last week to be the Libertarian Party candidate, he could be a deciding factor in swing states like Nevada.

Johnson told his supporters last week they should back Rep. Ron Paul for the GOP nomination. But if Paul is unsuccessful, Johnson asked Paul’s supporters to consider voting for him for president in the general election as a Libertarian, as opposed to supporting the prevailing GOP candidate.

And in Nevada, that could tip, if not further bolster, the state going to President Barack Obama.

Whether Obama is re-elected to a second term will depend on a handful of swing states, including Nevada.

Johnson could find a willing audience in Nevada, which has a libertarian history of being pro-small government but socially permissive.

Rachel Maddow About the Damned Dam? (Did Big Government Build the Hoover Dam?)

November 3, 2011 1 comment

Hoover Dam has become something of a liberal icon these days. President Obama points to it as an example of the sort of federally funded projects that once “unleashed all the potential in this country” — potential that his next round of stimulus will unleash again. MSNBC commentator Rachel Maddowhas pointed to the 726-foot-high, 660-foot-wide dam as proof that some projects are just too big for private enterprise. “You can’t be the guy that built this,” she tells the TV screen. Only government can, is the implication.

Well, that would come as a surprise to the guy who did build it – or, rather, the guys who did, with their private companies. In the five-year process they discovered, even back then, that the biggest obstacle they faced in Black Canyon wasn’t nature or the Great Depression, but New Deal Washington.

Black Tea Party Leader Demands Apology from Maxine Waters

August 24, 2011 1 comment

South Central L.A. Tea Party Founder and President, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson is demanding an apology from Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), for her remarks that the “tea party can go straight to hell.” Rep. Waters made her comments last Saturday at a forum in Inglewood, Calif., while vowing to push Congress to focus on creating more jobs. “I’m not afraid of anybody,” said Waters. “This is a tough game. You can’t be intimidated. You can’t be frightened. And as far as I’m concerned the ‘tea party’ can go straight to hell.” According to reports, Waters comments were met with cheers from the audience, which included SEIU members. Newly released figures indicate that California’s unemployment rate last month went up to 12%, from 11.8%. California now has second-highest rate of unemployment in the nation, trailing only Nevada at 12.9 %.

Scapegoating the tea party for the wasteful liberal social policies which are destroying the U.S. economy is wicked and irresponsible,” said Rev. Peterson. “On behalf of millions of patriotic Americans we demand that Waters apologize! The tea party is the solution, not the problem. I’m sure Maxine Waters would like her attacks on the tea party to distract from her failures and serious ethics issues.”

Being yelled at while carrying!!

August 14, 2011 1 comment

I have been sick with the flu and I haven’t left my house in 5 days. Today I felt a little better even though I still have a cough and I decided to go to my local Smiths grocery store located on Eastern and Windmill. A little back story here. I have been shopping here since I moved to Henderson almost 3 years ago. I pretty much know everybody who works there. Anyways I was giving the butcher my order when I hear a woman’s voice say “excuse me sir, I have a concerned shopper.” I responded with “well that doesn’t sound too fun.” It turns out she is the head manager and she smiled at my response even though we both knew what it was all about. She then asked if I had a permit and I explained that in Nevada you don’t have to have one but that it is registered and I am legally carrying. She said o.k. and started to walk away.

Whew! What a relief! Last time there was a concerned shopper Henderson PD met me outside for one of the shortest police encounters I have ever had. Still feeling like crap and waiting for the butcher to wrap my stuff up I hear a mans voice now. “YOU CAN’T JUST COME IN HERE WITH A GUN!” Well the manager is still next to me and the look on her face was priceless. He continues with his rant loud enough for everyone to hear, “WE NEED HENDERSON POLICE HERE, THIS IS AMERICA, YOU CAN’T JUST CARRY A GUN AND GET GROCERIES! WE HAVE LAWS!” This guy is mad. Almost comically mad. His wife is giving the look of “hey I don’t know this guy”. The manager tells him to calm down. The butcher is now fumbling my meat behind the counter and everyone is staring at us!

I start to grow a smile for some reason. Maybe it was because this guy is getting trolled so bad, or maybe because we still have freedoms and people like this guy who want to take away our Rights are dullards and lunatics. I don’t want to look like an ******* or agitate this encounter or make OC‘rs look like ****** so I didn’t respond at first. I just wanted my meat and to get home and lie down. I finally get my order from the butcher and thank him. As I’m walking away liberal law school Larry gets out his cell phone and threatens me that I shouldn’t go anywhere and that the police are on their way. I responded with “well, let me know how that works out for you” with a smile. The manager tells us that she will go look the law up herself and notify HPD if I am breaking any laws. As she starts to walk away she smiles at me and gives me a wink!

An aisle over I can still hear this guy. He is a genius. He is talking to his wife explaining that he knows you can have a gun in public but you can’t go into private business. It is illegal and he knows it! With all that excitement I forgot to get lettuce. I told my sister the story and she said she would return to the store for me since I didn’t feel well. She asked the manager on her way out if the police ever showed up. The manager told her nope. They only called the store to ask if everything was o.k. because they got a call about a man with a gun. The manager told them everything was o.k. and that was the end of that.

I think that says a lot when HPD calls first to see if it is a problem before wasting everyones time and safety racing to the scene of a MWAG call. It also feels good that guns are still acceptable here and thanks to the hard work and activism from a lot of the members here who I do not always agree with, I can still exercise my freedoms. Oh how I do not miss California at all.

Boehner Balking at Debt Deal

July 31, 2011 Leave a comment

Boehner appears to be balking at the debt ceiling deal that … Reid of Nevada has signed. Mr. Boehner is concerned about provisions in the deal that could lead to sharp cuts in military spending, say people familiar with the situation. House aides have warned that just because Reid has signed off on the deal doesn’t mean the deal is done.

Latest theory says Roswell UFO was Russian craft

Latest theory says Roswell UFO was Russian craft:

“he world famous Roswell ‘incident’ was no UFO but rather a Russian spacecraft with ‘grotesque, child-size aviators’ developed in human experiments by Nazi doctor and war criminal Josef Mengele, according to a theory floated by investigative journalist Annie Jacobsen.

Her book, ‘Area 51: An Uncensored History of America’s Top Secret Military Base,’ is about the secretive Nevada base called Area 51. One chapter offers the new Roswell theory, citing an anonymous source who says Joseph Stalin recruited Mengele and sent the craft into U.S. air space in 1947 to spark public hysteria.

Like past theories, Jacobsen writes that the U.S. government was involved in a cover-up of the UFO report, which has spawned space alien legend and turned this southern New Mexico town into a tourist attraction.”

Utopia? Hardly “The Republic of Texas, which won its independence from Mexico in 1836 — remember the Alamo? — spent perhaps 10 years as an independent nation. “

March 3, 2011 Leave a comment

And what to make of Texas. The USA backed Texas in its drive for independence from Mexico. The Republic of Texas, which won its independence from Mexico in 1836 — remember the Alamo? — spent perhaps 10 years as an independent nation. It was then annexed by the USA on December 29, 1845.

The annexation, by the way, led to a war — the Mexican War. California, Nevada, and Utah, as well as parts of Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Wyoming were taken from Mexico by the USA.Sixteen years after the independent nation of Texas had been annexed by the USA — in 1861 — the USA refused to let Texas leave the USA.

Sorry. There is a piece of paper, known as the Constitution, which means that although areas like Texas may declare their independence of nations such as Mexico — with the backing of the USA — an area like Texas may never declare its independence from the USA.

We have different rules, and we don’t allow that. You signed away your independence permanently, and if you care to disagree, we will kill you.

Forget the Supreme Court. As President Ulysses S. Grant proclaimed, the highest tribunal available to mankind is the force of arms.

And so Texas — which, the Northern myth proclaims, had never left the union via the heresy of “secession” — was forced to ratify the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments in order to be “re-admitted” to a Union that it supposedly had never really left………………………………..

O.J. reportedly beaten to a ‘bloody pulp’ in prison attack

SFGate: Hot Topics ^ | 2/15/11 | Mike Moffitt

Posted on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 3:31:42 PM by SmithL

O.J. Simpson was beaten unconscious in a savage prison yard attack, according to a report in the National Enquirer.

The assault was so brutal and debilitating that the disgraced NFL great is now afraid to leave his cell.

The Enquirer said inmates cheered on a beefy young skinhead as he beat the most famous inmate at Nevada‘s Lovelock Correctional Center to a “bloody pulp,” knocking him to the ground and inflicting serious injuries. Simpson, 63, reportedly spent three weeks in the infirmary while prison officials attempted to hush up the incident.

Supposedly Simpson was targeted in the lockup because his boasts about sexual exploits with beautiful white women were overheard by white supremacist inmates.

Judge Vinson’s Bittersweet ObamaCare Ruling

Ruling that the ObamaCare insurance mandate is unconstitutional is like saying that water is wet. Of course it’s an unconstitutional abuse of federal power. If the feds can force people to buy health insurance there is virtually no limit to the reach of federal meddling into the affairs of life.In a sense, it’s fortunate that the unmitigated arrogance of Obama, Reid and Pelosi — as witnessed in the healthcare “reform” debacle — is pushing even postmodern constitutional jurisprudence to its very limits. Two federal district court judges have concluded that ObamaCare is constitutional. In doing so, they wandered into the red-herring inquiry of whether not having a fully insured populace would affect the goals of central-control healthcare reform. If that’s the question, then judges may also conclude that what federal subjects eat and how much they exercise are also areas within the reach of the federal reform scheme.

Judge C.R. Vinson’s recent district court ruling was issued out of Florida in the consolidated case against ObamaCare brought by 26 states — Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming. The media are reporting the ObamaCare court scorecard as two and two.

But including the Virginia ruling, it’s more accurate to say that 27 states have achieved the first round of victory over a misnomer; namely, the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.”Excerpt Read more at americanthinker.com …

The Visions of Joe Brandt in 1937 California to Vanish (Plus Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Arizona & Japan)

The Visions of Joe Brandt in 1937

California to Vanish
(Plus Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Arizona & Japan)

Reprinted from: Living Water, Vol 1X, Number 2, April-May-June Issue 1969.

The man who wrote this was a personal friend of the publisher at the time. The article is given as he wrote it in 1937, in boyish handwriting. He had fallen from a horse at age 17 and for days he had a concussion. During this period of time a continuing dream came night after night. It was as though he was viewing a tremendous earthquake and inundation in California and other parts of the world. Joe Brandt had also written in a drowsy state through his days while recuperating in the hospital about positions of various faults, strata of rock, earth movements,-so much material that a geologist of many years would scarcely attempt such a work. The boy knew nothing of geology or the possibility of a coming earthquake. There are five-points to note which lift this dream/vision out of the realm of ordinary night-time dreaming, and the huge sheaf of geology data out of ordinary day-time writings, as follows:

What’s Up With Nevada? [Rasmussen: some clues as to how Harry Reid bucked the election Wave.]

November 8, 2010 1 comment

While public polling generally gave a good projection of what to expect around the country in Election 2010, that was not the case in Nevada.Rasmussen Reports‘ final poll on the race showed Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid trailing by four points and the Real Clear Politics average showed the Democratic incumbent down by 2.7 points.

When the dust settled, however, Reid won by 5.6 percentage points.

After every election, polling firms review the things that went well and those that didn’t to learn and make modifications. In this process, Nevada seems like an ideal place to start. That’s especially true because it’s the second straight election in which the Democrat has substantially outperformed both Rasmussen Reports polling and the average of all public polls in Nevada.–snip–

This higher interest among less committed voters seems borne out by the exit poll data showing that six percent 6% of voters did not vote in the presidential election two years ago. These voters strongly preferred Reid over Angle.

Harry Reid’s victory may have been due to violation of federal campaign laws

November 7, 2010 Leave a comment

Harry Reid’s victory over Sharron Angle this past Tuesday may have had a great deal to do with the senator’s campaign breaking not only federal campaign law, but, just to make things worse, criminal law also.

According to the Justice Department itself, as recently as this past Friday, it is currently looking over a complaint that Angle’s lawyer has filed, demanding that Reid be investigated for what appears to be coordination between his campaign and a corporation, Harrah’s casino in Las Vegas.

The complaint is based on damning e-mails that were exchanged between executives at Harrah’s casino and a staffer working for the Reid campaign. If the allegations are proven true, it may confirm what some people suspected after Reid’s surprise, come-from-behind win he was consistently down in the polls before last Tuesday’s voting. Namely, that Reid did a lot more than just get all his supporters to the polls in a magical, last-effort push.

Two weeks before Super Tuesday, she held a 50% to 47% lead over Reid. One week prior to voting, on October 26, her lead was extended to four points, with Angle at 49% and Reid at 45%.The race was tight, but surveys clearly showed that Angle was gradually extending her lead as each week went by.

Reid staffer possibly coordinates with Nevada union “to put headlock” on voters

November 2, 2010 Leave a comment

Employees of casino giant Harrah’s may have been pushed by executives to vote early in order to help Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid win his tough re-election campaign against Republican Sharron Angle according to emails leaked to the press. If true, this would violate Federal Election law, as coordinating “Get Out The Vote” efforts cannot be coordinated with a political candidate.

The Federal Election Commission prohibits coordination between companies, unions, and candidates for Get Out The Vote efforts:No CoordinationRegistration and GOTV drives beyond the restricted class cannot be coordinated with any candidate or any political party. 109.21 and 114.4d2.According to Elizabeth Crum at National Review, a Reid staffer sent an email to Harrah’s top lobbyist Jan Jones, who in turn distributed the email to executives — offering any help possible to get out the vote for Reid. Upon learning that mid-level supervisors are not “cooperating with and listening to upper management,” the Reid staffer even goes so far as to suggest that Harrah’s execs “put a headlock on your supervisors to get them to follow through.”

Harry Reid’s name was already checked. After this, the Washington Examiner looked into the reports and found the machine techs of those voting machines were none other than SEIU members.

NPR Fired Juan for Getting Krauthammered on Fox

October 28, 2010 Leave a comment

Don’t cry for Juan Williams.Lurking ahead are probably a seven-figure book deal, larger speaking fees, and loads more face time on television. NPR fired him, reconfirming the organization as a taxpayer-supported bastion of biased liberalism masquerading as “nonpartisan.”

So it’s all good.Williams, as liberals go, comes across as more reasonable than most. He wasn’t always like that. Years of getting his leftist butt kicked at the Fox round table by the likes of quick minds such as William Kristol, Brit Hume and the brilliant Charles Krauthammer made Williams more sensible.

He raised his game, which meant fewer silly emotional arguments and a more nuanced, if still often wrongheaded, criticism of “the right.”Williams got Krauthammered — almost on a daily basis. The intellectual firepower was so one-sided that if the Krauthammer-Williams exchanges had been prizefights, Nevada wouldn’t have licensed them.

So Williams moved toward the center.
