It has been said over and over, that the people (but WHAT? people …the “we the people” who signed the preamble to the constitution? Certainly not “wee the sheeple” of today!, …anyway, these “people, ” many claim, wanted Washington (George) to be their king, but he declined, they say.
But I notice that he did his damdest to see that the Constitution provided him veto power over the states–but in that he failed! In fact, it ended up that a Bill of Rghts had to be added to the Constitution in order to get it ratified.
But, apparently, some people never got over their craving for a king, sugar daddy, call it what you will.
Washington was also the first CINC to personally lead a military (militia) in the field against “the folks”–to collect a whiskey tax (to pay off gubmint debt from the war; some things never change. Again, the folks didn’t much go along with that idea.

To see the evils caused by the presidency, look no further than Iraq or Serbia, where the lives of innocents were snuffed out in pointless wars, where bombing was designed to destroy civilian infrastructure and cause disease, and where women, children, and the aged have been denied essential food and medicine because of a cruel embargo. A guy who can’t figure out his own taxes is supposed to fix the economy? This is the absurd rationale being offered by media figures such as Andrea Mitchell of NBC News for confirming Timothy Geithner as Obama’s Treasury Secretary after it was disclosed that he was a serial tax evader. He did his own taxes for a couple years and got into trouble, Mitchell chuckled.

And everybody can relate to that, right? Mitchell is the one who deserves to be laughed at. This guy is supposed to be so smart we can entrust him with managing the entire U.S. economy? She must be kidding. Does she seriously expect us to believe that?
Anybody watching this bizarre spectacle unfold has to suspect there is something more to the story. Who is behind Geithner and why? And why does Obama want him? This is where the media fear to tread. As we have pointed out, major media companies such as GE (parent of NBC News) and the Washington Post Company have their own connections to Geithner through their own officials and board members.

General Richard Burr is now Deputy Commanding General for Operations at U.S. Pacific Command (USARPAC) out of Hawaii. It’s the first time a non-American has served in such a high-ranking position at this type of command.
This isn’t some out-of-the way little military base — this is the command led by Major General George Moore in the days after World War II. Moore fought at Battan along with enough other dark Pacific campaigns to fill a wall map.

Someone who would prosecute the Wall Street bankers who defrauded the American people out of billions of dollars. Someone who would work to repeal NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT, the WTO, and stop the NAFTA superhighway. Someone who would say a resounding “No” to the New World Order.

The publicly stated reason for the recent closed session was for members to discuss new citizen surveillance provisions. What is a book? It is a snapshot of what you didn’t know the day you submitted it. Stick to fiction. The worst thing is “history” and “current events” or analysis of either, written in a book. If something were actually important, nobody would tell anyone who would write about it. There are millions of Chamber of Commerce members in communities all over the world. They promote their own communities, welcome visitors, help promote local businesses, and sometimes perform community services. They also try to influence legislation.
In the United States the many Chambers of Commerce were mostly separate organizations until 1912. Change began in December 1911 when President Taft suggested to Congress that an association of Chambers of Commerce would be of great value in supporting American interests. [1]
Then in January 1912 Senator Knute Nelson of Minnesota spoke in the Senate saying:
