My dog, Elkie, recently suffered a stroke. While she was recovering, she developed an infection of her digestive track. My veterinarian prescribed an oral antibiotic. She called the local CVS drug store and ordered it.
I went to pick-up the medicine, to find it had to be prepared by another pharmacy and then sent to CVS. I was told to come back later in the day. Because I had already made one trip, I called ahead the second time to make sure all was ready.

Most Americans — even those who are legislators — know very little about the details of President Obama’s Affordable Care Act, so-called Obamacare. Next year, when it goes into effect, we will learn the hard way.
Many people lazily assume that the law will do roughly what it promises: give insurance to the uninsured and lower the cost of health care by limiting spending on dubious procedures.
Don’t count on it.
Consider just the complexity: The act itself is more than 906 pages long, and again and again in those 906 pages are the words, “the Secretary shall promulgate regulations …”
“Secretary” refers to Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius. Her minions have been busy. They’ve already added 20,000 pages of rules. They form a stack 7 feet high, and more are to come.
Our old health care system was already a bureaucratic and regulatory nightmare. It had 16,000 different codes for different ailments. Under our new, “improved” system, there will be more than a 100,000.
Government likes to think regulations can account for every possibility. Injured at a chicken coop? The code for that will be Y9272. Fall at an art gallery? That means you are a Y92250. There are three different codes for walking into a lamppost — depending on how often you’ve walked into lampposts.

In their haste to impose an historic affront to individual liberty, the authors of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) neglected to provide the federal bureaucracy with either the funding necessary to build ObamaCare exchanges within the various states OR the authority to award tax credits or impose penalties on the American public.
For when the ACA was written it was foolishly believed by lawmakers that each of the 50 states would immediately take on the near 100 million dollar responsibility of completing an ObamaCare exchange within its borders—an exchange being the sales center without which no ObamaCare business may be transacted, no healthcare policies sold.

A few minutes after the Supreme Court issued its landmark decision upholding President Obama’s health care law last summer, a senior adviser to Mitch McConnell walked into the Senate Republican leader’s office to gauge his reaction.
McConnell was clearly disappointed, and for good reason. For many conservatives, the decision was the death knell in a three-year fight to defeat reforms that epitomized everything they thought was wrong with Obama’s governing philosophy. But where some saw finality, McConnell saw opportunity — and

CVS employees, and the rest of America, had better get used to turning over personal health information like their glucose levels and body mass index to their insurers – and to the federal government.
Starting in 2014, per the dictates of the federal government, your doctor must record your body mass index (BMI), which measures whether you are overweight, each time he or she treats you and turn it over to the government via your electronic health record, which every patient is required to have.
Your BMI will then be tracked by the Health and Human Services Department, the agency rolling out ObamaCare, and a bevy of other state and federal agencies.

Consider that we have a president whose word simply cannot be trusted. Alan Caruba calls him a “Wannabe Dictator” and Obama‘s own words prove the case. He bypasses Congress at every turn and his executive orders “grant [him] total power over every aspect of life in America in the event of an emergency or attack.” Additionally Obama has learned well the import of Hitler’s comment that “all propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.”

• A Marxist aversion to capitalism, the engine that has made America so successful.
• An unrelenting assault on rich people, while hypocritically taking their donations for his own use and all the while actually threatening the livelihood of the middle class.
• A constant and unremitting debt that threatens to destroy the fabric of this country. In this clip Ronald Reagan “warned us about Obama.” since it is completely unsustainable for any country to maintain such debt.
• Deluging the country with immigration reform that threatens to add at least seven million people to Obamacare.
Many of us have questioned what causedRoberts to switch his vote on ObamaCare at the last minute, as repo…, and doing so, so late that the Conservative Justices were forced to rewrite their majority opinion to be minority dissent.
These facts may answer that question
America has brand-new Benedict Arnold… (” “That pretty much describes Justice Roberts, who gained the enthusiastic support of conservatives and other Constitution-lovers by virtue of his earlier rulings and judicial temperament, and yet betrayed that trust in a devastating way. And we still don’t know why he did it.”………..”)
U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts
“There are lots of bad guys out there who would qualify as ‘Villain of the Year,’ but precious few candidates for the ‘Benedict Arnold Award,’” explained WND Vice President and Managing Editor David Kupelian. “Benedict Arnold, after all, was a good guy; he was an American general in the Revolutionary War who fought valiantly on behalf of the Continental Army – that is, until, for reasons yet unknown, he defected to the British side and betrayed the cause he had formerly served.”
Senate Democrats who helped pass ObamaCare are finally seeing what is in it and aren’t really so sure the massive tax increases mandated in the legislation will be good for their constituents, especially when it comes to the medical device tax which is set to further increase on January 1.
With some of their most influential constituent groups facing onerous tax increases that are slated to help fund the law’s mandates and regulations, Senators like Al Franken (D-MN), Dick Durbin (D-IL), Charles Schumer (D-NY), Patty Murray (D-WA), John Kerry (D-MA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), and others — all of whom voted in favor of the law — are aiming to delay or outright repeal parts of ObamaCare.
The hardest thing in psychiatry is to keep an open mind while sitting with a patient, who might be trying to provoke and manipulate the doctor, day after day, month after month. We want to understand troubled people, but people are complex. Psychiatric diagnoses are just reasonable guesses. Most human beings are much too mixed, much too complicated, and much too interesting to reduce to just a checklist.
Obama is the exception. Lots of people talk like narcissist s — when teenagers get grandiose, or when they start to lie to and manipulate their parents, it might be just a phase they’re going through. Lots of people preen and strut on life’s stage without losing their sense of proportion. But I think Obama just turned all his grandiose talk into irrevocable action. I don’t think we’ve had this extreme and radical a president ever before in American history. Lincoln, Wilson, and FDR took radical actions, but only at a time of huge national crises. We don’t have a national crisis today. Obama is our national crisis.

From a number of my Republican friends, I got this impression. It wasn’t the same as 2008, when they got up feeling they’d lost the election.”
The sense of living in an occupied country has been growing on me for several decades now. I live in Canada, and am thus “a voice from America’s crazy attic” (Robertson Davies’ phrase, somewhat extended).
I was born into a different kind of country. Yet all my life I have been watching the transformation, watching the politicians at work, watching the incremental social fallout, without fully grasping the extent.
I wonder how many Americans, on the morning of November 7th, got up feeling something terrible had happened. From a number of my Republican friends, I got this impression. It wasn’t the same as 2008, when they got up feeling they’d lost the election.

Ohio’s Republican Governor John Kasich has reneged on his campaign pledge to “block ObamaCare” being established in Ohio. And he has done it a way which would make Barack Obama proud—by lying through his teeth.
Contrary to Nancy Pelosi’s claims, passing ObamaCare has not enabled most Americans to know what’s in it. But one thing has become clear to those who have studied this signature, power-play legislation of the left— courageous Republican governors can kill it.
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act can only infect the nation and the American people if states are willing either to set up state based ObamaCare exchanges, or “partner” with the federal government, thereby allowing an exchange to be installed and operated by the Department of Health and Human Services. BUT, although the federal government can “…by law TRY to impose a HHS-run federal exchange” in states which refuse to provide assistance, congress appropriated no money with which the government can build or operate it! And so far, the House has refused to provide that funding. (1)
In short, if a state does not accommodate the HHS by setting up a state-based exchange or acceding to a partnership, there will be no ObamaCare in the state. And if enough states hold the line, the Marxist healthcare scheme will fail.
By November 16th, the original deadline for states to advise the feds of their intentions concerning ObamaCare exchanges, 15 states had informed HHS that they would do NOTHING to allow the implementation of an ObamaCare exchange, most even passing legislation against the plan entering their state at all.
I am pumped! Governor Perry just told Cavuto that Texas will NOT be setting up a health care exchange under Obamacare. He also raised the 10th amendment as the basis for the sovereignty of Texas as a state.
When it came to opening a new health center in his own congressional district, Republican Paul Ryan—yes, the same one who is denouncing Obamacare around the country—wrote to the Federal department of Health and Human Servicesbegging for bucks.
While GOP vice-presidential hopeful Ryan today savages Obamacare as “irresponsible,” an editorial in the Nov. 1 The Nation magazine reports that on Dec. 10, 2010 Congressman Ryan wrote HHS “to recommend a grant application for the Kenosha Community Health Center Inc. to develop a new facility in Racine, Wis., an area within Ryan’s district.”
What Obama Thinks of Americans…(“”we can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times…and then just expect that other countries are going to say ‘OK.”)
…….”it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
“I believe in American
exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism.”…..[believes] we are not a model for the world and in fact have reasons to atone to it…..
……….Many of the stories that Obama does tell us, from his own life story….to the auto bailout “success” fairy tale to the broken promises regarding ObamaCare and the incessant peddling of tall tales known as Mediscare, lean a bit more toward fiction than fact. Should we trust a man who shamelessly abuses the facts of his own mother’s death for political purposes?…..
….Policeman “acted stupidly” ….
…..Americans have gotten “a little soft, and we didn’t have the same competitive edge that we needed over the last couple of decades.”….”[W]e’ve been a little bit lazy.”……
Although this line is attributed to many people, Wikiquotesays that Gideon Tucker was the first to warn us that “No man’s life, liberty, or
property are safe while the legislature is in session.”
This cartoon about Keynesian economics sort of makes the same point, but not with the same eloquence.
Obama term, a new book reveals.
Determined as always to travel the safest, least contentious path to their own re-election, House Speaker John Boehner, Majority leader Eric Cantor and House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy have decided that the Party will do NOTHING to defund ObamaCare when current, federal funding legislation expires on September 30th.
Thirty times over the past two years the House has voted to repeal the President’s “Affordable” Care Act. Of course, on each occasion Republican leaders were secure in the knowledge that the measure had NO chance of passing the Democrat controlled Senate or collecting the signature of Barack Obama. And this was of supreme importance to these stout-hearted, GOP Representatives as it meant none of the scheduled votes would raise the ire of the Party’s most feared and potent foe—the dreaded national media.
For were the landmark legislation of their Marxist icon to REALLY be threatened by some Republican scheme, the New York Times and its left-wing colleagues might spend the rest of these pre-election months trying to discredit Republican candidates with all manner of vile half-truths and dishonest reporting, something the media would NEVER do without good cause!

Barack Obama is the worst thing to happen to America in my lifetime. Yet he lacks the work ethic and intellectual rigor necessary to destroy us — despite actions which are purposely malevolent or moronically unintentional.
He has forced his will upon us through:
Legislative chicanery — the abomination of ObamaCare.
Policy excess — Dodd-Frank financial reform, which reforms nothing but makes it impossible for business to borrow and citizens to get mortgages.

In the wake of two controversial U.S. Supreme Court decisions — Obamacare and the Arizona immigration law — in which a so-called conservative Chief Justice joined left-wing Justices in his ruling, multi-billionaire and far-left icon George Soros is financing a almost $50 million campaign to reshape America‘s state and federal courts, according to several legal and political science scholars.

Prison Planet.com » They Want To Sterilize American Women: Sterilization Won’t Cost Women A Penny Under Obamacare
Did you know that sterilization will not cost women a penny under Obamacare? A new regulation that goes into effect on August 1st requires that health plans cover sterilization for all women with “reproductive capacity”. That includes teenage girls. According to the new regulation, women must have access to sterilization “without having to pay a co-payment, co-insurance or a deductible.”
Albert Einstein has been cited for saying that one definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. You may have decided to vote for Mitt Romney because you dislike the policies of Barack Obama, but don’t expect a different outcome.
Case in point: does anyone really believe that on Day One President Mitt Romney would act to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or “Obamacare” as he claimed?
The man is a liar. Every time Barack Obama gives a speech or makes a statement and then turns to walk away from the podium, I expect to see another set of lips on the back of his head, flapping out the opposite of whatever the front of him just finished blabbing.
Enjoy this fourth of July; watch the patriotic parades and fireworks, wave your flags and stuff yourself with hamburgers and hotdogs ~ but beware, this could well be Amerika’s last independence day. The moral pillars of our Republic have almost disintegrated and beneath the ruins lay a rapidly blooming fascist corpocracy.
Chief Justice John Roberts rewrote the specific language of congress by claiming in his ObamaCare ruling that the penalty which the lawmakers had clearly attached to the individual mandatewas actually a tax.
It was the only way in which the Affordable Care Act could be saved, for the Court rejected the Commerce and Necessary and Proper clause defenses as constitutional grounds for the existence of the law.
The Obama/Roberts Doctrine of Christian Rewards/Punishments (SCOTUS opened a Pandora’s box of taxes)
The notion that we are all our brothers’ keepers lies at the heart of our Judeo-Christian heritage. It also happens to be one of the fundamental tenets of socialism – which accounts in large parts for that perverse ideology’s widespread appeal.
Either philosophy can – and has been – used to justify the notion that health care is a “right” rather than a good tradable in the marketplace.
(“Get Rid of The Supremes”) More Fascism in America Upheld by the Supreme Bureaucrats by Scott Lazarowitz
Given so many bad decisions by the Supreme Bureaucrats in Washington in the past few years, I am not surprised that they would uphold one of the worst and most clearly un-American pieces of legislation in U.S. history.
The Supremes upheld the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. ObamaCare. The biggest surprise for me was that the “conservative” appointee of President George W. Bush, Chief Justice John Roberts, joined the four communists “liberals” in approving what is essentially the power of the federal government to order Americans to buy health insurance.
As Ryan McMaken observed, “Now that one of Bush’s appointees saved Obamacare for Obama, every conservative who voted for Bush to get ‘strict constructionists’ on the bench should have the word ‘sucker’ tattooed on his or her face.”

In 1832, the threat of nullification by States that opposed tariffs on imported goods came close to bringing about a civil war. Thirty years later as cries for the abolition of slavery reached a fever pitch the War Between the States would begin.
Today, in the wake of the Supreme Court decision that found that the Affordable Health Care Act—Obamacare— is constitutional and thereby the law of the land. Republican Governors are lining up to say they will not obey it.
Not only has President Obama and the Democrat Party imposed an enormously unpopular law on the nation, they have initiated a huge constitutional crisis.
Why Roberts did it
Posted on Sunday, July 01, 2012 10:57:19 PM by trekdown
Obamacare is now essentially upheld. There’s only one way it can be overturned. The same way it was passed — elect a new president and a new Congress. That’s undoubtedly what Roberts is telling the nation: Your job, not mine. I won’t make it easy for you.
It is one thing to overturn ObamaCare should we be fortunate enough to A) Have an election (yeah, you heard me), B) Get a GOP President, C) Get a CONSERVATIVE House that will hold Boehner accountable as Speaker to not cave as he did on the budget ceiling debate, and D) get at least 51 votes in the Senate.
When Obamacare was recently affirmed many Americans assumed bad law was established as constitutional—that wrong had trumped right. In fact, as heirs to the constitutional history of Europe connnecting back to the earliest Greek and Roman thinkers and biblical writers, there is no compelling reason to accept an evil law.
It is the Western concept that claims a set of precepts exists above all human law which is used to model and judge our own temporary laws. In fact, one can argue persuasively that without the notion of good law above used to fight against evil laws, the West as we know it would have never evolved.

It is not the first time the media helped in the deception of Americans and in hiding the truth.
After Rick Santorum dropped out of the GOP presidential primary, my plan had been to vote third-party in the presidential election. Prison Planet.com » Supreme Court’s Obamacare decision hands federal government unlimited power to force you to spend 100% of your paycheck on things you don’t even want
Regardless of whether you agree with the fundamentals of Obamacare, the fact that the U.S. Supreme Court has now ruled the federal government has the power to tax Americans into mandatory purchases of private industry products means an end to economic freedom in America.
Because it hands the federal government the power to force the American people to buy anything the government wants or face tax penalties for refusing to do so. It is the equivalent of announcing a federal monopoly over all private purchasing decisions.
…Roberts’s historic hand on the scale Thursday was the only way to preserve a central role for private insurers in American health care in the years ahead. In this sense, Roberts’ epic choice is therefore not only small “c” conservative as a matter of judicial temperament but economically conservative to boot.

June 28: A day that will live in infamy.
Today the Supreme Court released its ruling on Obamacare, that hideous monstrosity that unleashed unlimited federal power upon the people it purports to serve. This law was never about delivering health care to Americans, but growing government power, and it has achieved its aim.
I was hoping against all odds that the will of the people would prevail. However, inside my heart I knew that it was hopeless. Nine impartial and totally objective Americans with no personal interests, outside influences, or opinions have decided the fate of millions of Americans for generations to come.
Please forgive the vanity but I have to share this… I could be wrong, but I don’t think I am.

It also is a reminder that the Supreme Court is a political entity and a human one. Only the Justices who dissented from the majority decision on Obamacare were willing to take the heat. The majority ruled that the individual mandate under the commerce clause was unconstitutional, but gave Obamacare life as a tax.
