In this video, a group of officers arrive at a home and, through a closed screen door, demand that the occupants come outside.
The unidentified man inside, along with his female companion, demand that the officers produce a warrant, but they don’t.
When the police continue to demand that they come outside, and order that both occupants raise their hands, the man responds that he doesn’t live in a police state with martial law. He also warns the police that he is video-recording everything.

I don’t know if we’re turning into a bunch of spineless, whiny, wussies or if we’re just going nuts. This endless quest to be politically correct in all areas of our lives is just plain crazy.
Louisiana Cops Arrest Man for Video Recording Them in Public

Police in Louisiana continued to reveal that gangster cop attitude that has become so visible in this country thanks to the advent of online videos.
It was only a few years ago that we were forced to take the word of police on the facts that lead up to an arrest.
Now we’re seeing a systematic thug-like attitude within the police ranks throughout almost every law enforcement agency in the country because more and more citizens are asserting their right to record in public. The latest case comes from Louisiana, as we can see in a Live Leak video that was posted 14 hours ago at this time although it is not clear when it was recorded nor when.

GyG: What The Folks Out There Are Saying, Reader Responses, Etc… ~ If They Come for Your Guns, Do You Have a Responsibility to Fight?
I feel a tremendous responsibility to write this article though I am a little apprehensive. Thinking about the possibility of rising up against our own government is a frightening thing for many of us. I am not Johnny Rambo and I will be the first to admit that I do not want to die.
by Ron Reale, staff writer
A news story was released stating that a number of gun manufacturers around the country will no longer sell to Law Enforcement officers or government agencies within the states that have the most stringent weapons restrictions against their citizen’s rights to own similar weapons. (1)
Upon reading this story, as well the comments, this was my answer to one particular comment, whose author was worried about “Law Enforcement” officers and officials being punished for the decisions of various government toadies.
This country has gone to hell since our local police were turned from “Peace Officers” into “Law Enforcement Officers”. We no longer have a police force concerned about the local citizenry, we have a roving occupying force of heavily armed tax collectors on constant alert for our wallets and freedoms.
If the leader of the free world can lie with such impunity we are doomed

The American approach to law enforcement was forged by the experience of revolution. Emerging as they did from the shadow of British rule, the country’s founders would likely have viewed police, as they exist today, as a standing army, and therefore a threat to liberty. Even so, excessive force and disregard for the Bill of Rights have become epidemic in today’s world.
According to civil liberties reporter Radley Balko, these are all symptoms of a generation-long shift to increasingly aggressive, militaristic, and arguably unconstitutional policing—one that would have shocked the conscience of America’s founders.
Today, relentless “war on drugs” and “war on terror” pronouncements from politicians, along with battle-clad police forces with tanks and machine guns have dangerously blurred the distinction between cop and soldier.

Please note the excellent piece of art (The Gathering Storm) that is shown above.
When the storm finally hits (and it will), those of you who supported the Obama administration will be affected as well. It won’t just be us gun owners or Flat Taxers, or Pro-Lifers that get hit. You’ll be right there next to us.
You see, you all thought the Conservatives were nut cases. You know, all of us who believe in God, small government, the Second Amendment, etc. And you thought you could just go back to sleep after the election was over. In your world, America will continue as before. You’ll still have the same rights, the same nice house, the same big screen television – it’s all good. After all, your high school football team won and the other team lost – go team! Even if you have bothered to look up from the daily grind since Nov 4th, you dismissed everything that has occurred as “politics as usual” – “the same old stuff”.
In the end, it’ll all be OK won’t it?
Not this time. There are a growing number of citizens in the US that are ready to fight to shut down the government’s grab of personal freedom, it’s blatant abuse of the constitution, and it’s attempt to replace the American way of life with socialism. You have to listen carefully to hear them, but they are there. I won’t start that fight, but when it goes down I will join it.
There has never been a documented case of a dog killing a police officer.
The same can’t be said for police killing dogs.
Every year, hundreds — if not thousands — of animals, mostly canines, are killed by police or animal-control officers. According to the National Canine Research Council, up to half of the intentional shootings by police involve dogs.
Sometimes, the animals have been injured and need to be put out of their misery. Sometimes, they are vicious and killed for reasons of public or officer safety.

If you plan on visiting Detroit any time soon, the police have a message for you: “Enter Detroit at your own risk”. That ominous message was actually emblazoned across the top of a flyer that the Detroit Police Officer Association was passing out prior to a rally on Saturday.
The flyer pointed out that Detroit is the most violent city in the nation and that more homicides are committed in Detroit than anywhere else. Meanwhile, the number of police officers in Detroit has been steadily decreasing. There are more murders in Detroit today than there were a decade ago, but the number of police officers in the city has decreased by about 1,000 over that time period. The remaining police officers are overworked and incredibly frustrated. But Detroit is far from alone.

The video clip below presents a very interesting take on human history. The creator of this clip posits human social organization in general as analogous to farming, and specifically livestock farming. On a farm, humans control animals. On a “human farm,” humans control other humans. And we all live on “human farms.”
An animal can feel momentary pain or fear, but it lacks the brain capacity to be coerced with the fear of future pain. A man can take an egg each day from a chicken, but he can get many, many more eggs by threatening the lives and wellbeing of other humans, such that they regularly supply the stronger man with chicken eggs. Thus, “human farming” is vastly more efficient than pure
More and more I notice that even professional writers/speakers are mentioning God in whatever they are saying/writing.
Maybe it’s just the general mood of the country, the world situation, etc. Brings to mind the old saying about…no atheists in foxholes…
I figure, If I notice this, you folks out there in cyberland must be noticing these things too. A general “hunker down” feeling–probably for many specific reasons, but just saying, a general feeling that more people are voicing lately. You’ve seen it in things you read, stuff talking heads and the common folk are saying on the living room idiot box, etc.
Considering the rise of the use of military drones in concert with law enforcement, the undeniable increase in domestic drone operations and pending explosive growth of drone use in the United States, I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised to see drones being used in news gathering as well.
According to a recent article by TV News Check, drones could be used in the newsgathering process as early as 2015 thanks to the legislation accelerating the integration of drones into the U.S. national airspacepassed earlier this year.
The Schiebel Corporation has partnered with Brain Farm and Snaproll Media, both U.S. companies, in order to turn the Camcopter into a platform capable of capturing high-definition, broadcast-qualityfootage.
Some clearly see a bright future for the use of drones in various commercial applications and especially in the field of journalism.

It was for a moment the clash of the Nobel Prize winners on climate change… just barely, but nothing like this has happened before in the debate-that-isn’t.
Have you ever noticed that government has grown famous for it being out-of-touch with the people? In their attempt to gain favor with the voter, politicians at all levels come up with programs they think will solve a specific problem or need and in the ensuing legislation designed to address the issue, the actions taken sometimes create more problems, foster legal actions against such legislation, are cancelled before they achieve their goal, or stay on the books for decades beyond their usefulness.

I agree. All people who aren’t in prison should have their rights restored.
The wounds of Veterans, both physical and mental, are real and have widespread effects on Veterans and their families. I applaud the efforts of the Department of Veterans Affairs as well as private entities to help these men and women, and their families, on the long road to recovery. Not a day passes that I’m ungrateful for my health after four years in the Navy.
Several weeks ago I received a letter addressed to “Resident.” Inside was a 28-page American Community Survey form in which I was supposed to reveal to the government every detail about my life. Today, “Resident” received it again along with a threatening letter requiring me to complete the survey.
I intend to chuck this one, too.
Has anyone else had this experience?

You know you live in a police state when the president allows the military to continuously harass a prisoner against whom no crime has been proven by interrupting him every five minutes of the day to ask him, “Are you okay?” and forces him to stand to attention naked at roll call.
What it can do to one man it can do to every man
.You know you live in a police state when said prisoner is barred from exercising in his cell and told where he may and may not put his hands when he goes to sleep at night.
Consider the position of “law enforcer” in 2012 America. What does it entail? When we had peace officers, it mostly meant going after thugs – people who victimize others by threatening them with violence. Frauds and crooks, too. In brief, it meant going after those who violate the rights of others.
It was – generally – an honorable way to earn one’s living. Most citizens therefore respected cops – or at least did not actively dislike and fear cops. Most cops were “ok.” They – generally – could be counted on to leave you alone unless you’d actually done something to warrant not being left alone. It was a quid pro quo that made sense no matter which side of the fence you happened to be on.
Today, it is law enforcement that threatens harmless, morally (if not legally) innocent people with violence. The guy who, for example, grows a small batch of pot plants in his backyard (as opposed to the lawful citizen who brews his own beer). Or the seatbelt scofflaw – whose actions threaten harm to none except, perhaps, himself (and even then, only potentially). Or the farmer who sells “unapproved” milk to his neighbors. And the students who dare to exercise their right to peaceable assembly. The driver who declines to be a witness against himself and refuses to submit, sans warrant – and very often, sans probable cause – to a random stop and search of his vehicle and person.
…..Our previous articles have focused on what is wrong with us as a people and as a government and what we can do about it. However, in a sharp departure from that weekly focus and in the spirit of the season, we are going to emphasize the great goodness that lies within most of us…..

The comments come after 80-year-old Marti Warren of Anniston said she wasn’t allowed to bring an American flag into an Olive Garden for a planned Kiwanis Club banquet in the east Alabama town of Oxford.

Six Fullerton cops, responding to a phone call alleging that someone in the downtown area might be breaking into cars, approached a 130-pound homeless man named Kelly Thomas, grabbed his backpack and, according to eyewitnesses, began Tasering him and beating him into a pulp. He died a few days later at a local hospital.

So, fellas! So, ladies! Do you want cheap gas and big, safe rides? Then, drill. Drill. Drill a healthy life.
Think about the last time you moved, went camping or took your boat to the lake. Did you wish you drove a Smart car? Or, did you wish your ride were bigger?
When it comes to cars, big is better. Bigger cars are safer. They haul more people and things. They typically ride higher—providing the driver with a better view. And, they are more comfortable (tall people can drive them without needing a chiropractor’s alignment.)
On the flip side, bigger vehicles use more gas and allegedly hurt the environment. So, let’s solve these two challenges.
Gas prices will go down when oil is plentiful and there is certainty in the marketplace. So, we should promptly drill for oil.
Well, environmentalists are behind the times. Liberal politicians and the Obama administration admit climate change is a flawed theory by failing to offer realistic “alternative” energy plans and by avoiding climate change as a selling point for new energy policies.
