First, please let me be very clear, what I have written here for your consideration is not about the Republican Party, Democrat Party, Independent Party, Libertarian Party, Tea Party or any other Party. It is about an idea conceived over two centuries ago, a country, a people, a document, our current president and his intensions for America.

Page references are to The New Nation, by Merrill Jensen.

The story we learn of the American Revolution is one of tea parties, Paul Revere, taxation without representation, all men created equal, Patriots against Loyalists, heroes without self-interest.

The reality, for those interested and willing to dig a little deeper, is a little different – most easily understood if one accepts that the men of the revolutionary generation were not saints. They were men with different interests, different reasons for desiring independence, and different interpretations of what independence meant for them and for their fellow travelers on the continent.

Believe it or not, many of the key players saw revolution as an opportunity to secure political advantage for themselves in place of the crown. Shocking, I know….

There was one person in a position to do a completely thorough job of telling the story of the revolution, as he had first-hand knowledge of every political action taken and attempted by the principle actors of the time:

1787 Philadelphia, 55 state delegates met at the constitutional convention. They thought they were there to “update” our first constitution, the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union; not so, they were there actually to meet in secret and overthrow the Articles for a new constitution, and do it quickly.

Fourteen of the delegates returned home once they got wind of what was going on; the remaining 41 then set us up with a big government constitution that haunts us today.

How the American Republic Died at Philadelphia in 1787….. | The PPJ Gazette

It is generally supposed, by most Americans, that the Constitution is the founding document of this nation. It is not. In fact, the United States of America was founded with the ratification of our original constitution, the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union (Articles of Confederation, for short) on March 1, 1781.

This document was written to secure a union between the original thirteen states and it was written by the states, for the states. In other words, the states created the central government, which consisted of nothing more than a very weak unicameral Congress, composed of not less than two and no more than seven representatives from each state.

The original intent, as laid out in the Articles, was “a firm league of friendship with each other, for their common defense, the security of their liberties, and their mutual and general welfare, binding themselves to assist each other, against all force offered to, or attacks made upon them, or any of them, on account of religion, sovereignty, trade, or any other pretense whatever.”

Conspiracy and the Constitution… “Where Smith had taken the first tentative steps towards working out an economic and political conspiracy thesis concerning the establishment of the Constitution, Algie Simons in 1912 presented this new interpretation quite forcefully, saying: “The organic law of this nation was formulated in secret session by a body called into existence through a conspiratory trick, and (it) was forced upon a disfranchised people by means of dishonest apportionment in order that the interests of a small body of wealthy rulers might be served.”2″

EXCERPT !!!!!

…..Smith was even more alarmed by what he thought were the antidemocratic sentiments of the delegates. Whereas he had only intimated at a possible conspiracy along economic lines, he more fully developed the notion that there was a political conspiracy.

He charged that “democracy … was not the object which the framers of the American Constitution had in view, but the very thing they wished to avoid … the efforts of the Constitutional Convention were directed to the task of devising a system of government which was just popular enough not to excite popular opposition and which at the same time gave the people as little as possible of the substance of political power.”1

There is no neutrality. One’s presuppositions about the nature of God, man, law, causation, and time shape one’s interpretation of all facts. There is no brute factuality, as Cornelius Van Til insisted; there is only interpreted factuality.” Gary North, Conspiracy in Philadelphia, p. 7Gary North has contributed an enormous volume of printed work that has been part of the libertarian movement or at least an interesting cross traveler for several decades.

Most visible are his 700+ articles at LewRockwell.com, probably all of which are supportive of, or at the least, not inconsistent with radical libertarian anarchism.

This article exists precisely because Gary North is often very insightful. Some of his excellent writings include critical analyses of the Federal Reserve, his arguments for a lifestyle of thrift, advice on market timing, support for home schooling and the Robinson Curriculum, the PhD glut and minimizing college costs, explaining the methods governments influence the price of gold, and highlighting Deuteronomy 20:5-8 as a religious argument not only against a military draft, but against all modern enlistment contracts as well.

And why did he state his reason for not attending with the words “Because I small a rat”?On May 25th, 1787, a group of 55 men gathered for a closed meeting in Philadelphia.

Officially, it was being convened to discuss alterations to the constitution of the United States of America: the Articles of Confederation. Some state legislatures had authorized their representatives to attend the meeting only on this basis, explicitly prohibiting them from considering a new constitution. However, as soon as the meeting opened, the outline of a new constitution was submitted. Three more plans were submitted within days. There were no discussions at any time of a revision of the Articles.

The Articles would simply have to be replaced. To make certain that the general public did not find out about the nature of this conspiracy, the convention members swore an oath not to discuss any proceedings with the public…for the rest of their lives. The only first-hand accounts of the proceedings were published several years later after the death of the last survivor, James Madison, in 1836

The book’s thesis is, even for me, controversial.

I provide 400+ pages of evidence that the Constitutional Convention of 1787 was in fact an illegal coup d’état.

The participants knew this

This is why they took a lifetime oath of secrecy, walked upstairs to the second floor of the State House so that eavesdroppers could not report what was going on, closed the doors, and hammered out the design for a replacement government.

Newspaper reporters were excluded. These men had been authorized by Congress and by several state legislatures only to revise the Articles of Confederation 1781, but not replace them.

gophumgophum (Photo credit: GunnyG1345)

Knowing full well that they planned to replace the Articles with a new form of government, the leaders of the Convention nevertheless agreed to the terms laid down by the state legislatures, and then went off to Philadelphia to begin the first stage of a political revolution.

WHY WE CANNOT “RESTORE” OUR REPUBLIC!

ourAmerica

ourAmerica (Photo credit: GunnyG1345)

Most people, I think, have little, if any, understanding of what has happened to our country in recent years because they simply do not know our history, our true history that is. Those who call themselves “patriots” and “conservatives,” for instance, lament the state of our “Republic” and the hue and cry goes out to “Restore” the Republic, etc.

The long and the short of that one is, for me, that you cannot restore what has never been. Liberty and Freedom are simply myths and illusions.

Most schools and universities do not provide an honest review of American history, and it has only been since the blessing of the Internet the last few years that more and more actual information has found its way into the hands of those who actually seek the truth.

gophum

gophum (Photo credit: GunnyG1345)

But how can I say such a thing? Certainly the old timers among us are fond of telling us all about the good old days when patriotism, freedom and liberty flourished. And I can certainly can see why we have all believed this to one degree or another over time. But I now call this sort of thing the old “the older I get, the better I was syndrome.”

To be sure, a steadily decreasing degree of relatively seeming freedom prevailed back in pre–WW II days, and the ’50s; but generally most seem to agree that something occurred back sometime in the ’60s when things began their turn for the worse.

The Muslim Brotherhood, “Ultra-Orthodox” Jews, and “Christian Identity” followed it.

•In Philadelphia, the Community Voters Project, an ACORN clone that employs some former ACORN workers, shredded Republican voter registrations. It’s not the first time they have been in trouble.

•The Florida AFL-CIO threatened True the Vote and Tampa Fair Vote with legal action for submitting voter registration challenges.

•Maryland Representative Elijah Cummings issued a highly publicized threat against True the Vote and Election Integrity Maryland just for checking voter rolls. EIM found 11,000 questionable registrations, including 1,566 dead voters. The Maryland Board of Elections took no action.

Obama, Champion of Partial Birth Abortions of Record, is as lukewarm in his criticism of the House of Horrors run by Gosnell as he was in his criticism of the suspects following the Boston Marathon bombing.

Articles of Confederation Reality Check | Peace . Gold . Liberty

February 20, 2013 21 comments

Daily Paul Liberty Forum

In the early years of our country’s history the United States of America operated under the Articles of Confederation. On paper this document was largely similar to the Constitution we have today, yet some have argued in hindsight that the Articles served as a better protector of individual liberty. But if this were true, why did Americans who had just suffered through so much to establish freedom ever decide to abandon the Articles in favor of the Constitution? After all, the Constitution was ratified by a clear majority of delegates to state conventions.

rprprprp

rprprprp (Photo credit: GunnyG1345)

In fact, the vote was unanimous in three states and the average approval in the rest of the states was well over 60%. Furthermore, a majority of these delegates were men who would later go on to vote overwhelmingly for Democratic-Republicans. In addition, many men who had initially opposed the Constitution ended up voting in favor of ratification, including Sam Adams.

Other anti-federalists who opposed the Constitution did so due to a variety of concerns about the new government, but only a small minority actually argued in favor of maintaining the Articles of Confederation. So why the overwhelming support for the Constitution among men who knew the difference between tyranny and freedom and who were willing to sacrifice so much for their ideals? The answer to this question reveals a situation which may have looked good on paper, but failed miserably in practice.

Ron Paul’s Statement on Sniper’s Death Not ‘Appalling’: Newsroom: The Independent Institute

February 12, 2013 Leave a comment

Former congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul is being roundly criticized for his Twitter comment on the killing of celebrated former sniper Chris Kyle.

obampoint

obampoint (Photo credit: GunnyG1345)

The sniper was gunned down by former Marine Eddie Routh at a Texas shooting range while Kyle was attempting to help Routh overcome his post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from service in the war in Iraq. Paul’s comment on Twitter was as follows: “Chris Kyle’s death seems to confirm that ‘he who lives by the sword dies by the sword.’ Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn’t make sense”

rprprprp

rprprprp (Photo credit: GunnyG1345)

Some are smugly pointing out that this disorder can be treated by repeating the trauma-inducing phenomenon under controlled conditions, thus making a shooting range a plausible site to attempt to aid someone with PTSD. Of course, it is not this part of Paul’s Twitter comment that is being criticized as “appalling”–it’s the part of the statement that says “Chris Kyle’s death seems to confirm that ‘he who lives by the sword dies by the sword.’”

Such words of optimism begin the Articles of Confederation. The year was 1781 and the new nation, the United States of America, began to take shape. Delegates met in Philadelphia to draft the particulars of their governing document. The document established a permanent central government for the country. The sovereignty, freedom, and independence of each state was recognized as well as power, jurisdiction and rights not “expressly delegated to the United States in Congress assembled.” (Article II)

How Long Can A Corporation Live?In order to keep this short, I’ll get right to the point. I have been saying forover two years that Americans are still subject to the king/queen (crown) ofEngland. Why? You are subject to whom you pay a tribute/tax. I have shown how thecrown is still receiving a tax to compensate the king for his corporate venture inAmerica.

I have shown many documents where the king by Charter created severalcorporations in America. These corporations were consolidated into America Inc.,in 1783.

Editor’s note: Colin Flaherty has done more reporting than any other journalist on what appears to be a nationwide trend of skyrocketing black-on-white crime, violence and abuse. WND features these reports to counterbalance the virtual blackout by the rest of the media due to their concerns that reporting such incidents would be inflammatory or even racist. WND considers it racist not to report racial abuse solely because of the skin color of the perpetrators or victims.

WHO ARE THE “WE THE PEOPLE” IN THE CONSTITUTION PREAMBLE? ~ EDRIVERA.COM

It is no secret—the Constitutional Convention, which began meeting in Philadelphia on May 25, 1787, produced the Constitution of September 17, 1787 in secret, so it would appear to be a replacement for the Articles of Confederation of November 15, 1777.

The true meaning of the Preamble is the secret of the Constitutional Convention. Everyone reads himself or herself into that Preamble, however, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention are the “We the People of the United States.”

John McCain, the 2008 Election, and Civil Unrest

J. Christian Adams

There is an interesting story about the 2008 election coming out of Wikileaks. Memos from Stratfor released by Wikileaks say that widespread voter fraud occurred in Ohio and that “black Dems were caught stuffing the ballot boxes in Philly.” The McCain campaign knew about the fraud but feared taking action because of the “possibility of domestic violence” if they challenged the results in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

The memos say campaign staff urged candidate John McCain to act in court:

“Staff felt they could get a federal injunction to stop the process.”

One of the Wikileaked memos says: “Sen. McCain chose not to fight.” The reason?

The memo states:

“McCain felt the crowds assembled in support of Obama and such would be detrimental to our country and it would do our nation no good for this to drag out like last go around, coupled with the possibility of domestic violence.”

In their place was the emblazoned image of Barack Obama.Residents complained that this new ’Obama Stripes’ version of the American Flag violates the United States official flag code. One elderly resident appeared to be visibly shaken for fear she would be branded as a ‘racist’ for showing her disapproval of the Obama Stripes. She explains,

“I don’t want to be called a racist because I object to an American flag where the stars are removed – to put a face. I don’t care if it’s a can of peas, it doesn’t belong on my American Flag.”

Prison Planet.com » 19 Signs That America Has Become A Crazy Control Freak Nation Where Almost Everything Is Illegal

February 29, 2012 1 comment

Do you think that you are free? Most Americans would still probably answer “yes” to that question, but is that really the case? In the film Edge of Darkness, Mel Gibson stated that “everything is illegal in Massachusetts”.

Well, the same could pretty much be said for the United States as a whole. Our lives are governed by millions of laws, rules and regulations and more are being piled on all the time. In fact,40,000 new laws just went into effect in January. Every single new law restricts your freedom just a little bit more. The truth is that America has become a crazy control freak nation where virtually everything that we do is highly regulated. You have probably broken multiple laws today that you don’t even know exist. We have all become criminals and lawbreakers because almost everything is illegal at this point.

Our politicians are convinced that they are “making life better” by piling gigantic mountains of laws on to our backs, and law enforcement authorities are convinced that they are helping society by “cracking down on crime”, but the reality is that our liberties and our freedoms are being strangled by all of this government oppression. This is not the way that America is supposed to work.

Yes, every society needs laws. But the laws should be short enough and simple enough that everybody can read them and understand them.

In America today, there is no possible way that any of us could ever read all of the laws that apply to us. Most of us just live our daily lives and try to do the “right” thing. But there is no guarantee that men with guns will not show up at your door one evening because of some obscure regulation that you have broken.

The following are 19 signs that America has become a crazy control freak nation where almost everything is illegal….

#1 One California town is actually considering making it illegal to smoke in your own backyard.

#2 In Louisiana, a church was recently ordered to stop giving out water because it did not have a permit to do so.

#3 In the United States it is illegal to operate a train that does not have an “F” painted on the front. Apparently without that “F” we all might not know where the front of the train is.

A d v e r t i s e m e n t

#4 In many U.S. states is it now illegal to collect rain that falls from the sky on to your own property.

#5 In America today it is illegal to milk your cow and sell the milk to your neighbor. If you do this, there is a good chance that federal agents will raid your home at the crack of dawn.

#6 In Washington D.C. it is illegal not to recycle cat litter.

#7 It is illegal to give a tour of the monuments in Washington D.C. without a license.

#8 In the United States it is illegal to sell natural cures for cancer – even if they work.

NBC-owned television stations in cities across the nation just teamed up with a nonprofit “journalism” group funded by a billionaire husband and wife team who not only spent millions campaigning for President Obama but also topped donor lists to groups like ACORN and MoveOn.org.

The nonprofit, ProPublica, will contribute to the news operations of all NBC owned-and-operated stations, including those in such cities as Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia, the network announced Monday.

The NBC affiliates will get early access to investigative reports from ProPublica, which describes itself as an “independent, non-profit newsroom that produces investigative journalism in the public interest.

Also included in the arrangement are local radio stations owned by Comcast, which purchased NBCUniversal earlier this year

Passenger forced to stand for a seven-hour airline flight

At nearly seven hours, US Airways flight 901 is one of the longest domestic nonstop airline flights. And Arthur Berkowitz knows how long it takes to get from Anchorage to Philadelphia down to the minute. That’s because he says he had to stand for most of the flight when he returned to Philly last July.

Why would anyone stand for that long? Because he says a morbidly obese passenger seated next to him was spilling into his personal space, making it impossibly to sit in his assigned seat, and the flight was completely full.

New Occupy plot: Flash mobs. ‘Alternative forms of protest’ put cities, cops at disadvantage

The Occupy movement is stepping up its confrontational tactics, plotting “alternative forms of protest,” including flash mobs that can be deployed nationwide.

Citing the success of last week’s so-called Day of Action protests, Take to the Square, one of Occupy’s main online planning forums, has devised an “Alternative Day of Action” to coincide with international Human Rights Day on Dec. 10.

“Our freedom and dignity are under attack as a result of market dynamics and corrupt government institutions that are turning our local and global societies into increasingly unjust places,” the site complains.

The Daily Bell – Ingo Bischoff on Why Land Cannot Be Owned, Why the Federal Reserve Was “Good” Once and What Needs to Be Done to ‘Take Back’ America

November 6, 2011 Leave a comment

Daily Bell: You have praised Ben Franklin’s Philadelphia bank. Was its currency backed by gold? Is it true that this bank used only Real Bills against which to create its currency, the Pennsylvania Pound?

Ingo Bischoff: The Bank of Philadelphia discounted Real Bills against the payment of coin which circulated in North America. They were of British, French, Dutch and Spanish origin. The bank collected the discount to the face value upon maturity. The Pennsylvania Pound bank note did not promise redemption in monetary coin to support confidence in its value. Because of the lack of gold or silver mines in colonial America, there were no “colonial” coins. The coins in circulation were those of Britain or other sovereigns. The value of the Pennsylvania Pound was derived entirely from the reputation of the principals of the bank, of which Benjamin Franklin was one and George Clymer, as president of the bank, was another. Despite the lack of redemption promise, the impeccable and honest way in which the Bank of Philadelphia was run caused the value of the Pennsylvania Pound never to drop below the value of monetary coin. This remarkable fact was cited by Adam Smith in his book The Wealth of Nations, published in 1776.

I do not see a contradiction in my logic when I praise the Bank of Philadelphia for adhering to the Real Bills “Doctrine” without promising redemption in monetary coin. The Real Bills “Doctrine” only requires that the value of bank notes in circulation always match the value of un-matured Real Bills held by the bank. I am sure that in the case of the Bank of Pennsylvania this was the case at all times.

Declaration of Independence Was ‘Illegal,’ Grounds for Treason, British Lawyers Say

Published October 20, 2011 | FoxNews.com

The Declaration of Independence was “illegal” and “treasonable,” according to a team of British lawyers, the BBC reports.

The assertion was made at a debate in Philadelphia between British and American lawyers over the legitimacy of the United States of America.

At the debate, pitting British barristers against American attorneys, lawyers for the former colonial power argued that America’s Declaration of Independence in 1776 “was not only illegal, but actually treasonable,” according to the BBC.

The lawyers representing the British team decided that the Americans had no legal grounds for secession. “[President Abraham] Lincoln made the case against secession and he was right.”
