Obama’s behavior indicates that, far from acting against his will, he has willingly accepted his role as a puppet under the control of the Council on Foreign Relations’ puppeteers. Obama’s real job consists in parroting the instructions coming from his CFR masters, and he is fully cognizant of it.

Charleston Voice: Why Christians Should Not Recite the Pledge of Allegiance

May 14, 2013 1 comment

by Laurence M. Vance

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty, and justice for all.”

There are three holidays that cause otherwise sound-in-the-faith evangelical, conservative, and fundamentalist Christians to lose their religion.

I am referring to Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Veterans Day.

One of these holidays doesn’t even have to fall on a Sunday for some churches to go wild with celebration.

Important Alert to Awaken Citizens… (“This call for a Constitutional Convention …is intended to entrap innocent and unaware victims. Mind bending talk show hosts are now advocating that the public call their federal Senators and urge them to support a call for a Constitutional Amendment, ostensibly to clarify the definition of marriage as being limited to a union between a man and a woman. Don’t be fooled!

What is really going on under this sophistry is engineered deception! This call for a Constitutional Convention to protect marriage is intended to entrap innocent and unaware victims. The socialists have been on record for a long time (see Senate Document 87) as advocating use of the Constitutional Convention process as a method by which to bring forth a global government constitution (charter); thus, permanently (and “supposedly” officially) discarding the American Constitution and Bill of Rights!

The situation we are in can be equated to an iceberg: What appears on the surface is no match for the disaster that lies underneath. If citizens can be induced “to protect marriage” they will inevitably run the risk of losing their freedom and liberty as the 1787 Constitution and the Americanist Bill of Rights are discarded.

So begins the Declaration of Independence of the 13 colonies from the king and country to which they had given allegiance since the settlers first came to Jamestown and Plymouth Rock.

The declaration was signed by 56 angry old white guys who had had enough of what the Cousins were doing to them. In seceding from the mother country, these patriots put their lives, fortunes and honor on the line.

Four score and five years later, 11 states invoked the same right “to dissolve the political bands” of the Union and form a new nation. After 620,000 had perished, the issue of a state’s right to secede was settled at Appomattox. If that right had existed, it no longer did.

ASKING ‘PERMISSION’ OF OBAMA TO SECEDE? (Look at Constitution in light of popular petition drive)

The beginning is more than half the whole, the ancient philosopher famously said. The ongoing failure of America’s free institutions is especially due to the failure, in this generation, to understand and perpetuate the faith of the founding. The success American liberty has achieved from that time to this owes much to the fact that the outstanding leaders of the founding generation were willing to articulate the reasonable faith that characterized what they called the “genius” of the American people.

Scalia vs. Thomas Jefferson on secession

Antonin Scalia - Caricature

Contemporary opinions, including those of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, say the idea of a state’s right to secede died with the hundreds of thousands of bloodied victims of the Civil War, and that the sentiment behind the dozens of petitions on a White House website seeking permission for most of the 50 individual governments to leave the union will be fruitless.

But historians would note that even Thomas Jefferson, a “pole star among political philosophers because he based his politics on the eternal, self-evidence, fundamental truths that all men are created free and equal and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inherent and unalienable rights, among which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” might be remembered for his opinion about states leaving the U.S.

It was in a letter to William B. Giles on Dec. 26, 1825, when Jefferson, who already had seen the fight over the states’ separation from England, the rise of a new nation and the tribulations it faced in its first decades, that he addressed the issue.

Pledging Allegiance to the Omnipotent Lincolnian State by Thomas J. DiLorenzo

…..Francis Bellamy said that one purpose of the Pledge of Allegiance was to help accomplish his lifelong goal of making his cousin’s socialist fantasy a reality in America.

He further stated that the “true reason for allegiance to the Flag” was to indoctrinate American school children in the false history of the American founding that was espoused first by Daniel Webster and, later, by Abraham Lincoln.

Lincoln falsely claimed that the states were never sovereign and that the union created the states, not the other way around. (But as Joe Sobran has remarked, the notion that the union is older than the states makes as much sense as the idea that a marriage can be older than either spouse. It is impossible for a union of two things to be older than either of the things it is a union of).

…..Here is the first artistic view of the Anti-Christ in the twentieth century. In the sixties, after living through a time of a SCOTUS decision in 1948 to “erect a wall of separation of church and state” based on a godless interpretation of a Jeffersonian letter to a Baptist church, through Eisenhower healing this by adding “Under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance, through the removal of prayer from schools to satisfy the offense of one woman, Madelyn Murray O’Hair, through collectivist left wing education and mind altering drugs and “Closing of the American Mind”, the artist and critic Marshal McLuhan proclaimed “Art is whatever you can get away with.”

A crucifix in urine and elephant dung smeared on the face of the Mother of God is proclaimed art. In other words, Blasphemy is Art. Predictably we hear a Vice-President explain his political style is based in the same nihilist trend: “There is no controlling legal authority.” In other words, we are agreed in principle to overthrow America.

One Reason Why Christians Should Not Recite the Pledge of Allegiance by Laurence M. Vance

November 11, 2011 Leave a comment

As if the blind nationalism, hymns to the state, and exaltation of the military that occurs in some churches on these Sundays isn’t bad enough, sometimes the festivities also include the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance, in church, by the congregation, facing the flag on the platform.

The Pledge is usually led by the pastor or a boy scout or veteran, sometimes in uniform.

This is not only unfortunate; it is an anti-biblical disgrace.

There are several reasons why no one that treasures liberty, is familiar with American history, and knows the history behind the Pledge (an ad campaign to sell magazines) would waste his time saying the Pledge. I want to focus on one of them.

White House: No Legalization of Marijuana

White House: No Legalization of Marijuana

So, the legalize-marijuana crowd finally got a thoughtful answer from the White House — but not one it wanted.

After being ignored or quickly dismissed on multiple occasions, Americans who want to see marijuana legalized found a way to get the White House to take their question seriously. The White House “We the People” project lets anyone submit a petition requesting government action. If the petition gets enough signatures, the White House promises a policy response.

A petition calling for legalization and regulation of marijuana “in a matter similar to alcohol” quickly vaulted into the top position, receiving nearly 75,000 signatures. Four others making similar requests were in the top 10. A total of eight marijuana-related petitions each received more than 5,000 signatures. It turns out that the White House still does not support pot legalization.

Other early responses indicate that the White House also does not support removing the phrase “In God We Trust” from the currency” or “Under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance. It does not support a “fair tax,” which it says would increase taxes for the middle class while cutting them for the wealthy. And it declined to respond to a petition calling for an investigation into the prosecution of Sholom Rubashkin, a former kosher slaughterhouse executive who was sentenced to 27 years in prison on 86 financial fraud charges.

READER RESPONSE…..

—So, do we need to pledge our allegiance to ourselves? As Judge Andrew Napolitano asked on his Freedom Watch show last week, “Does the government work for us or do we work for the government? Are true patriots guided by symbolism such as flag waving and pledges or by their commitment to personal freedoms?”

Perhaps it doesn’t matter. Most folks reciting the Pledge surely don’t view themselves as feudal serfs. But words matter, and actions and rituals matter as well. Tomorrow we celebrate Independence Day not simply as a method to get out of work, but as a way to remind ourselves and our children that this country was conceived in liberty, in the hope we can continue to live in freedom. (That’s why I say “Independence Day” rather than the “Fourth of July,” since what happened is much more important than the date it happened.) The Founders who signed the Declaration of Independence — pledging their lives, fortunes and sacred honor — didn’t see fit to establish a pledge for citizens to recite.

Rather, the Pledge of Allegiance was written by an admitted socialist, Francis Bellamy, in 1892. In addition to the Pledge, Mr. Bellamy also came up with a salute for school children and others to make toward the flag. To prove that truth is stranger than fiction, what came to be known as the Bellamy salute was very similar to the salute adopted by Mussolini and the Italian fascists as well as Hitler and the Nazis.

In 1942, after U.S. entry into World War II, Congress amended the Flag Code to advise folks to place their hand over their heart, instead of giving the Nazi — er, Bellamy salute.–

Should Patriots Love the Pledge of Allegiance?

July 1, 2011

Anthony Gregory

Press TV

A controversy in Eugene, Oregon, over whether to recite the Pledge of Allegiance before city council meetings has revived this tired culture-war issue once again. Liberals have long criticized the Pledge, especially its phrase, “under God.” Conservatives treat the pledge as sacred and condemn any attempts to alter the practice.

Most forget the Pledge’s origins. Leftists might take pride in the pledge, and many do, but those who cherish individual liberty should be much more skeptical. It was a socialist, Francis Bellamy, who authored the Pledge of Allegiance in 1892. The goal was to inculcate immigrants and children in the civic religion of nationalism, to unify the classes, and to promote the state above the individual.

Bellamy was also behind the push to put flags in every school. His cousin, Edward Bellamy, wrote the utopian socialist novel Looking Backwards. They both believed the state should redistribute wealth equally among workers. Francis originally wanted the pledge to echo the French Revolution principles of “equality” and “fraternity,” but ultimately decided it would not catch on in America.

Bellamy’s revolution has mostly succeeded, although not always peacefully. In the 1940s, mobs lashed out at Jehovah’s Witnesses who dissented from the Pledge, seeing it as idolatrous. At first, the Supreme Court even upheld involuntary recitations in America’s classrooms, before reversing itself in 1943, finding that forced renditions amount to an unconstitutional “compulsory unification of opinion.”

The collectivist, un-American legacy of the Pledge has been sugarcoated through modifications of the original practice. The United States abandoned the “Bellamy salute”—the gesture devised by Bellamy to accompany the pledge. It involved stretching one’s arm upward toward the flag. School kids across America used to perform this ritual before its similarities to the Nazi salute in the 1940s rendered the gesture untenable. So it was replaced with the simple hand on the heart.

During the Cold War, fear of atheistic Communism inspired the Eisenhower administration inserted “Under God” into the. Much of the controversy since has been over these two words, but whether the U.S. government is seen, as some liberals see it, as a replacement for God, or, as some conservatives see it, as an extension of God’s will, it is the general meaning of the rest of the Pledge that is most troubling.

The Pledge is, after all, a promise of loyalty to

The Truth about the Pledge of Allegiance

The pledge is recited at the beginning of so many different types of gatherings from public schools to “Tea Parties” to you name it. Try to find an American who doesn’t know the words by heart, let me know how that works out for ya. If only more Americans knew their Constitution this well, or for that matter, the truth about the pledge of allegiance, I am certain that America would be a wonderful place to live. But the fact of the matter is, America is not a wonderful place to live, and it is completely because of that ignorance. People say the pledge of allegiance and think America is the greatest country in the world, the freest, but the fact of the matter is, America ranks 9th in world Freedom according to the Heritage foundation. Mind you this is not some UN Study that gauges freedom by how good your socialized medicine works, or some libertarian conspiracy theory, this is an American, conservative, thinktank! Americans say the pledge and think about the military and how it protects our freedoms, neglecting to take into consideration that War is the biggest enemy of freedom and that one reason their taxes and inflation are so high is because we do 70% of the worlds military spending, partially because we have not known a period of peace longer than 33 years since our inception, and the last time it was that long was after the Civil War.Excerpt Read more at raquelokyay.com …

Former ACORN Official Condemns Voters’ Spontaneous Pledge of Allegiance

October 25, 2010 1 comment

At a debate sponsored by the Illinois League of Women Voters between Democratic incumbent Rep. Melissa Bean, GOP challenger Joe Walsh and Green Party candidate Bill Scheurer Wednesday, the audience loudly objected when the moderator, Kathy Tate-Bradish, insisted on proceeding without reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

In the end, she didn’t stand a chance against the 300-member audience. The camera captures Republican Joe Walsh’s reaction:Ms. Tate-Bradish reportedly scolded the crowd after the pledge ended, blaming the outburst on the Republican candidate. The LWV executive director, Jan Czarnik, also condemned the Pledge’s recitation, telling the local news, “It’s a phony patriotism issue is what it is,” she said.

“[Republicans] must think it helps their campaign.”Both LWV have been active members of the progressive movement. Ms. Tate-Bradish was an active supporter of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and even hosted campaign events for the then-Senator in her own home.Ms. Czarnik is a former ACORN Project Vote worker and has been involved in the progressive People for the American Way, but as blogger Jeff Dunetz notes, these former affiliations would surely in no way lead her to unfairly criticize a Republican candidate, right?

The moderator further irked the crowd afterward, saying she felt “disrespected” by being “forced” to include the pledge “in presumably a planned way.”Video of the exchange, taken by an audience member and posted on YouTube, can be seen below:

Why Does Obama Tell Muslims America Is Nation of ‘Non-Believers’?

August 25, 2010 Leave a comment

Why has President Barack Obama on at least two occasions told specifically Muslim audiences that America is a nation of — among other things — “non-believers”?The Pledge of Allegiance says America is one nation under God, our national motto says in God we trust, the Declaration of Independence says we are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights and since the time of George Washington our presidents have placed their left hands on the Bible as they raise their right hands and swear to defend our Constitution. The Census Bureau’s official Statistical Abstract of the United States says a miniscule 0.7 percent of American adults — or 1,621,000 out of 228,182,000 — are atheists. If you accept the Pew Hispanic Center‘s March 2005 estimate that there were 11 million illegal aliens in the United States back then — and assume for the sake of argument there are still roughly that many today after another half decade of unsecured borders — then a person randomly passing you on an American street is about seven times more likely to be a foreign national illegally residing here than an atheist. If representation in the resident population is the measure, than it is more plausible to say America is a nation of foreigners than to say America is a nation of non-believers.Yet President Obama has virtually made a mantra of saying that Americans are, among other things, “non-believers.”

Lee County, FL Sheriff Mike Scott never expected to create a firestorm when he used the full name of the Democrat Party’s presidential candidate “Barack Hussein Obama.”

At a rally in Estero, Florida, for GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, the highly decorated law enforcement executive was the pre-rally speaker for the Palin appearance. As with most political rallies, the job of pre-rally speakers is to warmup the audience.

According to GOPUSA‘s (gopusa.com) editor Bobby Eberle whether the audience is cheering wildly or booing loudly, the pre-rally speakers are there to wake them up and get them going. So Sheriff Scott stepped to the podium and said, “On November 4, let’s leave Barack Hussein Obama wondering what happened.”
