No one should ever question President Obama’s passion for golf. He has played some of the country’s most picturesque courses, held a debt-limit “golf summit” with Speaker John A. Boehner, taken on Tiger Woods and found time to steal away for a round in political good times and bad.

I BELONG TO THE STUPID PARTY

I belong to the stupid party.

I’m a Republican.

We specialize in self-destruction.

The latest example is the recent decision by the Republican National Committee to ban CNN and NBC from covering any debates during the next GOP presidential primaries.

Somehow, in head-up-your-butt land, that makes sense. But out here, in the real world, it’s insane.

And petty, and one more sign that the people running this party are, in scientific terms, frigging idiots.

Here’s the story.

Apparently there is this she-devil named Hillary Clinton who wants to run for president. She’s the one who said we didn’t need more security in Benghazi. She’s the secretary of State who oversaw the greatest reversals of American influence abroad in modern history.

The Rogue Helping Obama Steal America… “The deadly, almost under-cover assassin of conservatism in America is not the Fundamental Transformation of America-pushing Barack Obama and the Democrats but Karl Rove and his big-money financiers.”

By Judi McLeod Friday, May 10, 2013

The deadly, almost under-cover assassin of conservatism in America is not the Fundamental Transformation of America-pushing Barack Obama and the Democrats but Karl Rove and his big-money financiers.

Conservatism is the dead man walking in the politics of America today, and there’s no way to revive the corpse as long as Karl Rove is still at the GOP helm.

From the Truth-is-stranger-than-Fiction department: A brilliant May 8 piece in the New York Times by Thomas B. Edsall draws back the curtain on the forces battling for GOP control between the well-heeled establishment and passionately conservative forces, and it’s less than a pretty picture.

gophum

gophum (Photo credit: GunnyG1345)

It’s the movie of our lifetime depicting what is happening in the underskirts of the body politic in a declining America.

But the May 1 revelation by the Republican National Committee that it had awarded a multimillion-dollar contract for data management and collection services to Liberty Works, a firm run by Richard Boyce, an associate of Rove, could inadvertently lead to the way out of the labyrinth that is steadily undermining the Republican Party faithful, and therefore some day stop disenfranchising millions of conservative voters.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — In the GOP’s ongoing establishment vs. grassroots saga, chalk one up for the establishment.

Since Mitt Romney’s loss, the Rand Paul wing of the party has been on the ascendency. But libertarians hit a roadblock Friday as the Republican National Committee opted at its spring meeting to keep in place a host of rules rammed through by the Romney campaign at last year’s national convention.

Devvy Kidd — How the GOP committed political suicide in 1982

“In 1982, the Republican National Committee (“RNC”) and the Democratic National Committee (“DNC”) entered into a consent decree (the “Decree” or “Consent Decree”), which is national in scope, limiting the RNC’s ability to engage or assist in voter fraud prevention unless the RNC obtains the court’s approval in advance.

The RNC appeals from a judgment of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey denying, in part, the RNC’s Motion to Vacate or Modify the Consent Decree. Although the District Court declined to vacate the Decree, it did make modifications to the Decree. The RNC argues that the District Court abused its discretion by modifying the Decree as it did and by declining to vacate the Decree. For the following reasons, we will affirm the District Court’s judgment.

Already we’re seeing problems with early voting which should be done away with altogether. Up until the time when Americans were brain washed with the idea of ‘fast food’ election results, no one had a problem waiting a few days or even a week for the outcome of elections, including president. Honest elections came first – except in cities like Chicago where vote fraud in all forms has been a mainstay for nearly a century. Doesn’t seem to bother the people who live there because nothing has been done to effectively clean it up.

America got all the whiz bang new technology. The result: Our elections for candidates from county to state to federal have been stolen now for nearly a half century.

Amazing, Romney still battles Ron Paul in New Jersey

October 19, 2012

The battle for the soul of the Republican Party is still ongoing. If you doubt that, take a look at the Romney henchman in New Jersey, who is even now, doing everything within his power to resist the involvement of grass roots Ron Paul people.

What you saw in Tampa, where Ron Paul delegates, mostly young and war veterans and Hispanics were unseated, continues in other ways, unabated in state after state, county after county.

Governor Mitt Romney is conducting a war on two fronts. On the one hand he is trying to wrest control of the White House from the Democrats in a close election. But simultaneously, as distracting and draining as it may be, he continues the brutal scrub of any challenge to the American oligarchical system by destroying the last vestiges of democracy within his own Republican Party.

Adding fuel to this fire is Dr. Paul’s scheduled appearance Tuesday night on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. A representative from the Tonight Show told The New American that it was not their policy to predict or publicize a guest’s purpose for going on the show.

NY Times Outraged Republicans Didn’t Pander To Gays During RNC…

WHAT the Republicans painstakingly constructed here was meant to look like the biggest of tents. And still they couldn’t spare so much as a sleeping bag’s worth of space for the likes of me.

Women were welcomed. During the prime evening television hours, the convention stage was festooned with them, and when they weren’t at the microphone, they were front and center in men’s remarks. Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney both gushed about their moms in tributes as tactical as they were teary.

Latinos were plentiful and flexed their Spanish — “En América, todo es posible,” said Susana Martinez, the New Mexico governor — despite an “English First” plank in the party’s regressive platform.

And while one preconvention poll suggested that roughly zero percent of African-Americans support Romney, Republicans found several prominent black leaders to testify for him. Condoleezza Rice, the former secretary of state, delivered what will surely be remembered as the convention’s most stirring and substantive remarks, purged of catcalls and devoid of slickly rendered fibs.

I am ashamed of my national party’s actions. I sat openmouthed, flabbergasted, appalled at the actions that they took to shut the liberty folks out.

Look…maybe Ron Paul had no chance to win. Romney had more delegates though some of those were seated by deception and coercion. That is not the point now. Do we, as Republicans, have so little respect for others that it is okay to cheat a 30 year Republican Congressman out of a legitimate nomination that he earned? By following the rules, no less?Is it also okay that we completely ignore the will of the elected delegates who have achieved plurality and submitted nomination papers?

gophum

Those papers were delivered to Preibus by Iowa’s Lieutenant Governor, Kim Reynolds, the Convention Secretary, over an hour before the call for nomination, the rolling roll call. She claims that it was her job to accept and deliver them, and that anything after that was the will of the Republican National Committee. Therefore, the will of the RNC was to cheat Ron Paul out of a legitimate nomination and to break their own rules.Ron Paul needed a plurality of five states to have his name submitted for nomination. He received six. Those papers were submitted in a timely

When things didn’t go the way the pro-Romney leadership wanted them to go, they simply created a new GOP to replace the old one. That’s what happened in Nevada when Ron Paul supporters managed to gain control of the state’s Republican Party apparatus at the state convention.

In response, the pro-Romney and establishment Republican forces broke off and formed Team Nevada which is essentially a shadow Republican party. In addition, by pledging support to Romney, Team Nevada is receiving funding from the Republican National Committee. If all goes as planned on the Romney side, Team Nevada will provide Nevada’s delegates to the Republican National Convention. The duly-elected Ron Paul delegates, who were elected through state and local conventions in Nevada, will be barred from the convention floor.

Iowa Republicans have a total of 28 delegates to this year’s national convention in Tampa, Florida. Two delegate selection committee members from each of the state’s four congressional districts met at the Republican headquarters in Des Moines today to draft the slate of 13 at-large delegates that must be ratified by convention delegates at the state convention on June 15th.

Each state is awarded delegates based on a number of factors. Each state starts with ten delegates, five for each U.S. Senator. States are then awarded three delegates for every congressional district. The three members of the Republican National Committee, including the State Chairman, National Committeewoman, and the National Committeeman, also each receive a delegate spot. That means the base number for national delegates for Iowa is 25.

Republicans complain taxpayers fund Obama political travel

April 25, 2012 1 comment

Republicans are complaining to a U.S. government watchdog that President Barack Obama’s trips for official business are little more than campaign stops funded with taxpayer dollars, a claim dismissed by the White House and Obama’s campaign team.

In a letter on Wednesday to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) comptroller general requesting a formal inquiry, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus alleged a “misuse of government funds” relating to certain presidential travel, especially to November battleground states.

“One incident of this might be an error that is easily remedied. But it is a pattern of behavior that is worsening,” Priebus said.

The complaint noted that government watchdogs, like the GAO, should be sensitive to any spending practices that might raise questions, and more so now with a travel scandal engulfing the General Services Administration (GSA).

Priebus underscored Obama appearances on college campuses this week in key states of Colorado and North Carolina meant to support student loan legislation that were “widely reported to be equivalent to campaign rallies.”

Rule does not mean Paul cannot be part of the convention, or win in a brokered situationGOP Insiders Suggest Ron Paul Cannot Legally Be Part Of RNC Ballot

GOP insiders are beginning to float the idea that Congressman Ron Paul cannot legally be on the first ballot at the national convention in Tampa this August because he will not have enough delegates from enough states.

USA Today carries a report that suggests both Paul and Newt Gingrich will not be able to get on the first ballot because they may not have a plurality of delegates from at least five states by the time the convention comes around.

Appearing on MSNBC News, Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, cited Rule No. 40, Section B in the Republican National Committee rulebook, which states:

Each candidate for nomination for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States shall demonstrate the support of a plurality of the delegates from each of five (5) or more states, severally, prior to the presentation of the name of the candidate for nomination.

“So when these candidates are adding up their delegates or when people out there have a particular issue that they would like to move at the convention, they had better make sure they at least have a plurality of five states to make these things happen,” Priebus said on MSNBC’s Daily Rundown.

Of course, Ron Paul’s strategy is to win more unbound delegates, and it is still possible that he could win a plurality of delegates from five states.

Paul campaign chairman Jesse Benton has said that the campaign anticipates meeting the five-state threshold, saying in an email that “we are well positioned to carry WA, MN, AK, ND and ME among several others.”

It is also important to note that the rule does not mean that Paul’s delegates will not be able to take part in the convention.

WAR: If They Succeed in Forcing a Romney Nomination On Us, The GOP Establishment Must Be Destroyed

Hey RNC, get this through your big fat skulls:

A month ago -when the Republican primary contest began to get ugly- it already seemed intra-party chasms that developed over this cycle would be taking some time to heal. We all still assumed that ‘anybody but Obama‘ would get us together in the end, though…yet no longer: there’s simply no dealing with the self-serving syndicate that’s re-written history and gang-raped Newt Gingrich just to stick us with some fake conservative scumbag. The TEA Party movement is on the verge of extinction if we fail to go on the offensive- and I mean now……

Prison Planet.com » Speaking Perpetually To The Political Wind: Why Obama’s Words Lack Authority

January 26, 2012 Leave a comment

…..The Republican National Committee (RNC), who are the biggest critics of Obama’s live show in front of a sell-out crowd, released the most damning evidence of Obama’s eroding public appeal in a short video called “Familiar Rhetoric, Failed Record.”

English: Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth Presid...

Image via Wikipedia

The video shows a President who is on autopilot and reads off of the same cue cards that were prepared by his handlers for his State of the Union speeches in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Obama comes across as a frozen, robotic, and toothless president who effortlessly makes false promises and raises false hopes.

II. A Crumbling State of The Union: A Deep Crisis of Confidence Is Chipping Away At The President’s Political Authority

A real leader stands by his words, and fulfills his promises. Obama’s words lack authority because they lack purity, sincerity, and substance. As a result, Obama does not have any personal authority. And it doesn’t help that the authority of the Oval Office, which Bush had already damaged extensively, has totally faded away in Obama’s first term.

The office of the presidency is a shadow of what it once was. It attained its profoundest depths at the height of the Cold War in the Cuban Missile Crisis during John F. Kennedy’s presidency. Since then, it’s been a long slide down. After Kennedy’s assassination by the CIA, the Agency has casted a dark cloud over the White House.

Some have seen my FB note about the Indiana committeeman verifying that the RNC passed a resolution exposing UN Agenda 21, unanimously. This is true. See attached. Now Oklahoma also verifies it. See below correspondence from Robert Semands, Govern Edmond Locally spokeperson, and please repost. Let’s hold our GOP elected officials at all levels accountable to adhere to this RNC resolution. Are they Republican or not? Time to hold them accountable. By the way – who is OUR NJ RNC Committee person? Let’s thank him/her! In other news, the National Federation of Republican Assemblies adopted the following resolutions in October, 2011.

The Ron Paul Paradox: GOP Questions His Impact

The Ron Paul Paradox: GOP Questions His ImpactNPR ^ | Jan. 13, 2012 | David WelnaPosted on Friday, January 13, 2012 7:21:27 PM by La EnchiladitaFour years ago, Texas Rep. Ron Paul finished fifth in the New Hampshire presidential primary with just under 8 percent of the vote.On Tuesday, he got nearly 23 percent of the vote in the New Hampshire primary, finishing second to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in the Republican contest. That came a week after Paul’s third-place finish in the Iowa caucuses.Paul has done better than any Republican presidential contender not named Romney, and his success is part of the buzz at the Republican National Committee’s winter meeting in New Orleans, which runs through Saturday. Some are surprised by his showing. Some are happy about his success. And some are worried that Paul’s allure — he’s attracting support from outside the Republican Party by advocating everything from legalizing marijuana to immediately withdrawing U.S. forces from Afghanistan — could influence him to eventually consider a third-party bid for the White House.Excerpt Read more at npr.org …

Why Ron Paul Can Win by James Jaeger ~ “But here’s what really terrifies them: Ron Paul is in a position to hand the election of 2012 over to Barack Obama and the Democrats because…”

If you have been watching the news, you know that Ron Paul is now beating both Gingrich and Romney in the polls and could walk away with a win in Iowa.

Ron Paul, member of the United States House of...

Image via Wikipedia

Some say he could also walk away with a win in New Hampshire, and possibly even win the Republican (GOP) nomination.

For the Republican National Committee (RNC), this must be uncomfortable – the idea that they would be forced to nominate a principled, Constitutionalist just because WE THE PEOPLE demanded it.

But here’s what really terrifies them: Ron Paul is in a position to hand the election of 2012 over to Barack Obama and the Democrats because he would be a “spoiler.” But even more terrifying is the fact that Dr. Paul is in a position to be much more than a “spoiler” – he’s in a position to be a “winner.”

Etymology of the term SPOILER:

The term “spoiler” is a derogatory term that was dreamt up by statists in the Democratic and Republican parties in order to sucker the public into continuously voting for no one outside the Establishment. In other words, if you vote your conscience, YOU are a “spoiler.” If you run on principles of your conscience and take votes away from an Establishment candidate, YOU are also a “spoiler.”

What does it mean? Sarah Palin changes Facebook profile from ‘Republican’ to ‘Conservative’

October 15, 2011 2 comments

She has always been known as a Tea Party darling as well as a staunch Republican.

But now Sarah Palin has nailed her political colours to the mast and changed her Facebook profile from Republican to ‘Conservative‘.

The move on the ‘political views’ section of her page has left political commentators struggling to decipher what the the former Alaska governor is trying to say.

(GRAPHIC AT LINK)

One long-time blogger and Palin supporter wrote: ‘I suppose one could draw a multitude of conclusions regarding this status change.

‘I know that I certainly have. You can be certain that any move Sarah Palin makes has been well thought out and is with purpose.

‘Could she possibly be sending a message to the RNC that they need to strengthen the conservative planks of the Republican party.

‘Perhaps her promise of ‘sudden and relentless reform’ as addressed in her Indianola speech and more recently in her October 7th St. Louis speech is a sign that as in the past, neither party is safe from her scrunity.

‘One thing is for sure, time will tell.’

The news comes as polls continued to indicate that Republicans aren’t sold on Mitt Romney and they’ve been looking for other presidential candidates.

At least eight other Republicans have seen their standings soar in GOP primary surveys since the beginning of the year…..

Earthquake? Governor Palin Changes Facebook Status From ‘Republican’ to ‘Conservative’

October 15, 2011 Leave a comment

Ok guys … Is this just a minor thing? Or a big deal? I’ll let you speculate on what it means ….

Here’s the news reported by the Sarah Palin Blog:

I was walking through the grocery store earlier today when I received a text message from a close friend asking me if I had taken note of the change on Sarah Palin’s Facebook page. I confessed that it had been an exceptionally busy day and that I had not looked at Palin’s page today. My friend then brought to my attention that under the “Info” link, Palin’s political views have been changed from “Republican” to “Conservative”. For a brief moment, it didn’t phase me as I am also a registered Republican but I chose to list “Conservative” on my Facebook page as my own political view because in my eyes, it more aptly describes my values.

I suppose one could draw a multitude of conclusions regarding this status change. I know that I certainly have. You can be certain that any move Sarah Palin makes has been well thought out and is with purpose. Could she possibly be sending a message to the RNC that they need to strengthen the conservative planks of the Republican party? Perhaps her promise of “sudden and relentless reform” as addressed in her Indianola speech and more recently in her October 7th St. Louis speech is a sign that as in the past, neither party is safe from her scrunity.

One thing is for sure, time will tell.

EDITORIAL: America abandons Obama

July 30, 2011 Leave a comment

So much for hope and change. With the economy growing worse and worse, the grand promises of Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign have faded as the reality of malaise takes hold.

Mr. Obama has vowed to spend $1 billion in advertising dollars to counteract the effect his policies have had on the nation. The GOP’s campaign chief met with The Washington Times on Friday to discuss why that’s not going to work. “I think this [election] is a referendum on Barack Obama,” said Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus. “The people in this country are going to ask themselves a question: ‘Am I better off than I was three or four years ago?’ And the answer is clearly no.”

Even liberals feel betrayed on a number of pet causes like torture and Guantanamo Bay, and they’re jumping ship. The Pew Research Center found Republicans were making huge gains among white voters. In 2008, 46 percent of this demographic group sided with the GOP while 44 percent preferred Democrats. Today, the Republican advantage has grown to 13 points, with the biggest gains found among those under the age of 30.

In other words, the young voters who once identified with the youthful, relatively unknown senator from Illinois are having a severe case of buyer’s remorse. The survey showed Republicans also made a small 2 percent gain among black voters, but larger inroads ought to be possible given the astonishing figure that 16.2 percent of blacks can’t find a job in Mr. Obama’s economy – double the figure for whites. “People are hurting,” said Mr. Priebus. “The problem that Obama has is that he has had results of his presidency, and these results are awful and people know it.”
