For those of you who never heard of Ron Paul before the debate, I have known him for more than twenty five years. I have been with him many times in many settings.

I recall being with him in fellow physician Larry McDonalds congressional office in Washington, which would have had to be more than twenty four years ago. Remember that my dear friend Larry was probably kidnapped by the Soviets on September first, 1983, when they shot down Koran Air Lines 007. He was an old-school Democrat, of course, and completely shared our beliefs.
I have spent time with Ron between congressional stints in his medical office. After the Patriot Act, he told me ruefully that the congressmen who voted for it had not been allowed to read it and knew only what they had been told. A few months back, we were together in his district office in Lake Jackson and he told me he was breaking in his new knees. Thats right, in addition to all his other qualities, Dr. Ron is now a bionic Member of Congress………….

At every step, mainstream media attempted to censor information regarding the revolutionary Republican candidate nominee, in some cases even censoring the utterance of his name.
The candidate was even ousted from his speaking role at the Republican National Convention last week, where his delegates were thrown to the nosebleed seats of the Tampa Bay Times Forum, and where he faced, still, further persecution as the Romney campaign’s lawyer, Ben Ginsberg, presented a vote to change party rules concerning the binding of delegates, the outcome of which was later revealed to have been predetermined.
What Will Ron Paul Say on Leno Show? by Joe Wolverton, II (“Boehner instructed those in favor of the rules to say “aye” and those opposed to say “nay.” Video of the vote clearly demonstrates that those against the adoption of the Romney-friendly rules numbered at least as many as those in favor. “)
……….Curiously, the driver of a bus carrying the delegate holding the official objections to the proposed rule
changes circled the venue refusing to stop, causing that delegate to arrive too late to file the objections. Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) then proceeded to call for a vote on Ginsberg’s rewrite of the Republican rulebook.

In the wake of his “rude” treatment at the Republican National Convention last week in Tampa, several Internet sites are repeating rumors that Ron Paul (R-Texas) will announce a third-party run for the White House.
Adding fuel to this fire is Dr. Paul’s scheduled appearance Tuesday night on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. A representative from the Tonight Show told The New American that it was not their policy to predict or publicize a guest’s purpose for going on the show.

Rand Paul unloads on Obama in Tampa
‘We will not let you bankrupt this great nation!’
A transcript of remarks by U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., at the Republican National Convention, Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, as prepared for delivery:
When the Supreme Court upheld Obamacare, the first words out of my mouth were: I still think it is unconstitutional!
The left-wing blogs were merciless. Even my wife said – can’t you please count to ten before you speak?
So, I’ve had time now to count to ten and, you know what – I still think it’s unconstitutional!
Do you think Justice Scalia and Justice Thomas have changed their minds?
I think if James Madison, himself – the father of the Constitution – were here today he would agree with me: the whole damn thing is still unconstitutional!
This debate is not new and it’s not over. Hamilton and Madison fought from the beginning about how government would be limited by the enumerated powers.
Fascist Wing of Single USSA Party Not Even Bothering to Pretend Anymore | The Dollar Vigilante
As an anarcho-capitalist it is difficult for me to watch the election year shenanigans. But, it is still hard not to watch, like a car wreck, as Ron Paul supporters got the cold shoulder and the message. The Republican Party played some awfully dirty pool. Now the Ron Paul supporters have done the only sensible thing. They’ve taken their ball and gone home.
Ron Paul never had a real shot at being POTUS. But it was disgusting to watch the Republican National Convention make rule changes specifically designed to weaken Dr. Paul’s delegate count, and to make it harder for non-establishment candidates to gain any traction in future elections. Although, that’s just what happens in the world of politics—dirty pool is just “pool” in this world.
But by replacing 10 of the 24 Maine delegates, the RNC made sure that Dr. Paul’s name couldn’t even be submitted for nomination. The euphemism from the RNC is about providing “a united front.” The reality is they are taking away even the illusion of choosing real change, the sort that would have any effect on the fasco-communist police state axis of power in the US.
Now the Ron Paul supporters see just how hopelessly corrupt the Republican Party — the fascist wing of the single fasco-communist ruling party — is and they have staged a micro secession in Tampa. We here at TDV truly hope that those walkouts have lost all faith in the political process and that they have divorced themselves spiritually and emotionally from this farce. In other words, I hope they have achieved true individual secession and independence. Because, folks, doing so is the only answer.

An RNC bus driver transporting the Virginia delegation to the convention seemed to have lost his way to the destination yesterday. The delegation, led by long time conservative activist Morton Blackwell, was prepared to vote against the proposed rules change. However, the delay meant the Rules
Committee meeting had adjourned prior to their arrival. Delegates remaining on board the bus were unable to participate in the proceedings.

Prison Planet.com » RNC Disenfranchises Paul Delegates; Rigs Rules to Nominate Romney

Drowning out shouting Ron Paul supporters is not an easy thing to do. Republican delegates voting for Mitt Romney found this out Tuesday as Paul’s contingent chanted “Point of Order” and “Let Him Speak” as they witnessed the re-writing of the GOP rules, clearing the way for the unchallenged coronation of the now-official Republican nominee for president — Mitt Romney.
The RNC’s rule change effectively disenfranchised Republicans supporting anyone other than the Establishment’s man and left 10 of Maine’s 24 delegates locked out of the process, preventing them from casting votes for Ron Paul.
Railroaded and rejected, the unseated Maine delegates walked out of the Tampa Bay Times Forum, leaving the convention in the hands of the predetermined winner and his proxies.
“It’s a disgusting, disgusting display of a hostile takeover from the top down,” said Maine delegate Ashley Ryan, according to an article in the Los Angeles Times. “It’s an embarrassment,”

During a roll call of states at the Republican National Convention yesterday, an attendee was caught on a hot mic praising the moment where Ron Paul’s delegate result was accidentally censored as a result of an audio failure.
As representatives of Georgia read out their delegate results, Ron Paul’s name and result was lost as a result of a microphone failure.
“Well done! Whoever controlled the microphone did a great job,” one of the RNC attendees standing nearby was caught saying as others around him snickered.

GOP Destroys Integrity of National Convention, Flagrantly Cheats Ron Paul Out of Nomination
I am so frustrated and angry with the blatant cheating that went on at the Republican National Convention in Tampa today.
I am ashamed of my national party’s actions. I sat openmouthed, flabbergasted, appalled at the actions that they took to shut the liberty folks out.
Look…maybe Ron Paul had no chance to win. Romney had more delegates though some of those were seated by deception and coercion. That is not the point now. Do we, as Republicans, have so little respect for others that it is okay to cheat a 30 year Republican Congressman out of a legitimate nomination that he earned? By following the rules, no less?Is it also okay that we completely ignore the will of the elected delegates who have achieved plurality and submitted nomination papers?
Those papers were delivered to Preibus by Iowa’s Lieutenant Governor, Kim Reynolds, the Convention Secretary, over an hour before the call for nomination, the rolling roll call. She claims that it was her job to accept and deliver them, and that anything after that was the will of the Republican National Committee. Therefore, the will of the RNC was to cheat Ron Paul out of a legitimate nomination and to break their own rules.Ron Paul needed a plurality of five states to have his name submitted for nomination. He received six. Those papers were submitted in a timely
manner and ignored.

Ron Paul Rocks, Hits Back, Stands Up, Delivers and Gets a Seat at the Convention Table
Ron Paul cooperates with no one, checks his voice for no one and doesn’t much like the GOP establishment types. This would include the GOP’s likely nominee, Mitt Romney, template maker in Massachusetts for all things nefarious accomplished by Barack Hussein Obama but brought to a national audience.

With due respect to Professor Block, I think he’s giving up on 2012 too easily. Ron Paul won’t be the Republican presidential nominee this year – but there’s still the matter of the vice presidency.
No, I’m not suggesting Mitt Romney will pick Ron Paul as his running mate. Legally, however, it’s not up to Romney to pick the party’s vice-presidential nominee, but the Republican National Convention. Jeff Taylor recently pointed out in The American Conservative the dubious restrictions that “pledge” delegates to support Romney on the first presidential ballot do not extend to any vice-presidential choice he might make:
Paul may not have the five-state pluralities to allow him to officially “seek” the presidential nomination at the convention, but delegates who are bound to Romney for president are not bound to anyone for vice president. In other words, Paul supporters from Nevada who are obligated to vote for Romney on the first ballot for president are free to vote for whomever they choose on the balloting for vice president (if there is balloting).
Ron Paul’s Delegate Insurgency Ends in Nebraska
Ron Paul’s delegate insurgency has come to an end…
…fell short at the Nebraska GOP convention, where they had hoped to out-organize Mitt Romney’s delegates and push Paul over a critical threshold that would have ensured him an official presence and speaking slot at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., in August.
As the last state where Republicans will hold a convention in which delegates are up for grabs, Nebraska represented the last chance for Paul’s supporters.
