The Common Sense Show
enemy of the state just following orders
“Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.”
I am walking through the airport at Phoenix and the public address system tells me that today’s threat level, as declared by the Department of Homeland Security, was orange. I wasn’t sure what that meant except that we were all supposed to be frightened enough to passively agree the TSA the right to commit sexual assault against the public. What I did not realize at that time, is that America had been the victim of a coup as a result of events on 9/11 which culminated in a full blown takeover of the government, by the banksters, with the commencement of the bailouts in 2008.
Immediately following the attacks on 9/11, we entered into a state of martial law, in the name of protecting the American people. The establishment of martial law has been incrementally implemented and barely noticeable to the majority of sheep who inhabit this country. However, if you were in a coma just prior to 9/11 and awakened yesterday, you would quickly realize that we have been taken over and the complete elimination of our civil liberties is nearly complete.
This is a series which examines the elements of martial law and, more importantly, where America sits with regard to the roll out of martial law. I cannot possibly cover this subject in one small article. Subsequently, I have divided the article up into to two distinct parts.
Establishing the Proverbial Boogey Man
Nearly every roll out of martial law contains a boogey man, which serves the purpose of providing the impetus for society to support the establishment of martial law controls

On Thanksgiving 2013, it may seem that the nation has little to be thankful for, but if you pull back from the headlines and other news, it is clear that Obama’s presidency is seriously damaged and will remain so until and after he is gone. That’s worth celebrating.

On Saturday, Nov. 16, the United States marks a milestone: the 80th anniversary of when President Franklin Delano Roosevelt recognized the Soviet Union and \”normalized\” U.S.-USSR relations. It is a day that should live in infamy.
But it\’s a day that hardly anyone has ever heard of. I certainly hadn\’t before researching my book, \”American Betrayal.\” As I studied the event, however, it became clear that it was on this day 80 years ago that what I call \”American betrayal\” began. It is the date on which the U.S. government institutionally learned to lie.

Obama\’s Iranian Deal is a New Disaster
A wall mural in Tehran

The headline of the lead, page one article in The Wall Street Journal on Friday, November 8 was “U.S., Iran Close In on Nuclear Deal” with a sub-headline “West Set to Ease Some Financial Sanctions in Exchange for Tehran Freezing Most Advance Work.’
Secretary of State John Kerry cut short a visit to Middle East states, including Israel, returning to Geneva where the deal was reportedly close to being signed.

Ron Paul on \”Letters of Marque and Reprisal\”
Posted on October 18, 2013 by END TIME HEADLINES
Former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul doesn’t seen a rosy future ahead for the United States. In fact, he sees a repeat of recent history – though not U.S. history – on the horizon. In an interview with radio host Alex Jones, of InfoWars,
Paul – who is a physician by trade and has recently launched his own radio and television network – said he sees the “bust coming soon.”
”They’re (Washington collectively) not going to work their way out of it, so it’s just (all) going to collapse,” he said. “Let’s just keep working on the fact that, when we get around to rebuilding this whole entire system, that we do it the way it was intended originally, and actually improve upon it.”
If Not America—Who?….. “Let’s be clear here. If the US does not survive as a constitutional republic, the world, as we know it, will cease to exist. Europe will most certainly return to its former iteration as a bloody battlefield. The Middle East, already in flames, will tear itself apart. Africa will spiral right back into a black hole. Russia and Asia will be locked in mortal combat for hegemony of that region, South America will … well, WHO KNOWS what will happen to our southern neighbors? And Mexico? Well, Mexico seems to have forgotten—they SOLD us the land they are trying to re-populate today. Anyway, you get the idea. “

I cannot, for the life of me, understand those Americans who would like the US to no longer be a super power and/or a world leader.
What kind of warped mental capacity does that take, exactly?
Those are folks of the so-called “elite intelligentsia.” Why, even some in former—and current—presidential administrations espoused this belief. It is utterly astounding.

…snip… The takers outnumber the givers, and that will only increase in years to come. The “Occupy” riots across this country in the last two years were mere dress rehearsals for what lies ahead – years of unrest sparked by the increasing discontent of the unsuccessful who want to seize the fruits and the bounty of the successful, and do not appreciate the slow pace of redistribution. If this election proves one thing, it is that the Old America is gone. And, sad for the world, it is not coming back.

(CNN) — The idea that Soviet fighter jets would shoot down a Boeing 747 airliner seems shockingly unbelievable. Two-hundred sixty-nine innocent people died in a largely forgotten Cold War attack that took place exactly 30 years ago this weekend.
On a sultry August night in 1983 at New York’s JFK airport, Alice Ephraimson-Abt, a brilliant, 23-year-old, blue-eyed blonde, was about to board Korean Air Lines Flight 007 for Seoul, South Korea, halfway around the world. For one last time, she held her father, New Jersey businessman Hans Ephraimson-Abt, before saying goodbye. “There were hugs and I-love-yous,” her father, now 91, told CNN.

Obama conceded defeat in an indirect fashion after assumption of his lifelong appointment at the circus-like Constitutional Convention in the USSR in 2012. The massive government intervention and adoption of total central planning had predictable results: the world’s first 100% marginal tax rate on the top fifty percent of earners had only surprised the Premiere’s Economic Council but no one else with the results. Tax receipts were down by 80% in the first year and disappeared in the second.
Paul Krugman, the chairman of the council, was quoted as saying “[that] greed would be eliminated and a new man would emerge from the bold experiment.” The only thing that emerged were the tens of miles of refugees attempting to flee the USSR in the first year after which the borders were sealed and all the government’s guns were trained inward to prevent the citizens from escaping the latest economic nostrum — permanent employment in a government job assigned to you whether you liked it or not.It is difficult to gauge how bad conditions are in the USSR. Like the Soviet Union during the twentieth century and Cuba afterwards, rumors were rampant.

Over the course of its 69-year history, the Soviet Union was notorious for its heavy-handed suppression of political dissent—most infamously through its use of the Siberian GULAGs. But it was during the 1960s and 1970s that the Communist Party took their intolerance for ideological deviance to extremes by diagnosing and institutionalizing so-called counterrevolutionaries with mental illness.
It was a frightening episode in Soviet history in which perfectly healthy citizens could be deemed psychotic simply on account of their political views.
And indeed, what better way to deal with activists and naysayers than to diagnose them as being mentally unstable. Dissenters, who were often seen as both a burden and a threat to the system, could be easily discredited and detained.

For decades, a so-called anti-propaganda law prevented the U.S. government’s mammoth broadcasting arm from delivering programming to American audiences. But on July 2, that came silently to an end with the implementation of a new reform passed in January. The result: an unleashing of thousands of hours per week of government-funded radio and TV programs for domestic U.S. consumption in a reform initially criticized as a green light for U.S. domestic propaganda efforts. So what just happened?

After the Great Patriotic War, Americans looked at Russians as atheists and communists. Russians were viewed as intelligent but liars and devils not to be trusted. When Solzhenitsyn came to America he was looked upon as a hero from the Soviet Union by the American press.
The US media later portrayed him in a negative way calling him naïve and ignorant of American society even though Solzhenitsyn was only pointing out the truth known by many conservative Americans. His 1978 speech in this video in America at the Harvard University is not only true about America but prophetic as well. Solzhenitsyn knew communism was infecting society and saw its effect.
He also saw “Destructive and irresponsible freedom” in America. Solzhenitsyn says in the USA, “Society appears to have little defense against the abyss of human decadence, such as, for example, misuse of liberty for moral violence against young people, motion pictures full of pornography, crime and horror.

My passport is festooned with patriotic blather about freedom and democracy. It didn’t used to be this way. The less freedom we have, the more government has to convince us that it exists. But none of it rings true anymore.
One page of the passport quotes Lincoln: “that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”
But just before sending, I hesitated. You see, while doing this, I was boarding a flight from Frankfurt back to Atlanta. Presuming that the feds are reading everything, I thought that posting such words, however funny, would be too risky.
What if I found myself being detained once having landed? I might face a barrage of questions about the meaning of my little text. Did I have a diabolical plot in mind to smack the government in some way? I imagined myself having to explain polycentric legal theory and market forces to thugs in some isolated cell.
So instead of posting that little update, I pulled back. I censored myself. Doing so felt just a bit odd in some way.
This is what it has come to in the surveillance state. In my entire life, I don’t recall ever pulling back from saying what I think. But these days, prudence rules. This is how I imagined things were in the Soviet Union in the old days.

» Are We Really Free When Big Brother Is Systematically Turning America Into A Giant Prison? ….. Alex Jones’ Infowars: There’s a war on for your mind!
Every year on July 4th we celebrate our “independence”, but is America really free? How could we possibly be free when “Big Brother” is constantly intruding in our lives in hundreds of different ways? And I am not just talking about NSA snooping. Sadly, the truth is that the United States is beginning to fully embrace a “police state” culture. We have learned that the government monitors and keeps a record of all of our cell phone calls, emails, Internet searches, credit card transactions, and every piece of mail that we send.
But most Americans don’t seem to care. We are “encouraged” to report the “suspicious activity” of our neighbors to the authorities, we are told that having security thugs touch the private areas of our women and children at our airports is necessary “for our security”, and 80,000 SWAT team raids are conducted each year in the United States.
But the American people don’t seem to care. America was once a great country, but now it is being turned into a giant prison, and only a small minority of the citizens are raising their voices in objection…………..

Regular readers of these diatribes are aware that one of the conspiracy for world government’s persistent goals is a massive reduction of the earth’s population. There are just too many people out there for the conspirators to control, so they want to eliminate some of them. The “ideal society” that results would include the few conspirators at the top and the rest of us slaves at the bottom to serve them.
Over the years, they have concocted many spurious justifications for the purpose, including the “ecology movement,” Zero Population Growth, phony energy “shortages,” etc. That is one of the reasons the birth rate has fallen among bamboozled American women – and especially among European women – while it booms among illegal aliens.

The answer to that question obviously depends on the identity of the “Somebody” who is making that inquiry. What Sheriff Bradshaw had in mind was a strike force composed of deputies, social workers, and “mental health” professionals from a “Behavioral Sciences Unit” (BSU) who would be on-call twenty-four hours a day, ready to be deployed to visit the homes of what the Soviets used to call “socially dangerous people.” In the Soviet Union, such people would often be involuntarily committed to a psihuska, or psychiatric prison.
“We want people to call us if the guy down the street says he hates the government, hates the mayor and he’s gonna shoot him,” Bradhsaw told the Palm Beach Post in describing the BSU, which would be funded through a $1 million grant from the state government. That grant hasn’t been formalized, but if the state legislature balks, it’s quite likely the Feds will chip in: In a speech last February 6 to the Alliance of DelRay Residential Organizations, Bradshaw said that he would prefer to fund the unit “through a federal grant.”
This is precisely the kind of pilot program the Feds would find worthwhile – indeed, it represents a model of “preventive intervention” that the federal government has been promoting for at least two decades.

When Orwell wrote his most famous novel, which happened to be the most emblematic of dramatic past century, he was not writing about Soviet Union and Stalin.
He was basically writing a dystopia about Britain, the ruined Britain of Churchill and Lord Beveridge, a desperate country ruled now by conservative nihilism, social security services and the ideology of iron curtain and cold war.
The tiny (three miles by five miles) European Duchy of Grand Fenwick, supposedly located in the Alps between Switzerland and France, proudly retains a pre-industrial economy, dependent almost entirely on making Pinot Grand Fenwick wine. However, an American winery makes a knockoff version, “Pinot Grand Enwick”, putting the country on the verge of bankruptcy.
The prime minister decides that their only course of action is to declare war on the United States. Expecting a quick and total defeat (since their standing army is tiny and equipped with bows and arrows), the country confidently expects to rebuild itself through the generous largesse that the United States bestows on all its vanquished enemies (as it did for Germany through the Marshall Plan at the end of World War II).
Instead, the Duchy defeats the mighty superpower, purely by accident. Landing in New York City, almost completely deserted above ground because of a city-wide disaster drill, the Duchy’s invading “army” (composed of the Field Marshal Tully Bascomb, three men-at-arms, and twenty longbowmen) wanders to a top secret government lab and unintentionally captures the “Q-bomb” (a prototype doomsday device that could destroy the world if triggered) and its maker, Dr. Kokintz.

When the central government in the United States rams through a 2700 page bill that was not read by any person who voted for it and whose impossible promises of more-for-less are now being revealed as a fraud; when the government, without apparent concern, rapidly inflates the national debt to 16 trillion that it will admit to (actually it’s 83 trillion); when the federal government sues the state of Arizona to stop it from guarding the borders and enforcing federal laws concerning illegal aliens; and when the government announces that it wishes to ban all weapons that would allow citizens to resist government overreaching, how far distant is revolution?
This question must have run through the minds of anyone who has read the newspapers for the last four or five years. In today’s Wall Street Journal in the “Notable & Quotable” column, historian Paul Rahe, citing Tocqueville, writes:
“One key indicator [of readiness for revolution] is that those with access to the levers of power within the ruling order cease to believe in the religion or ideology that legitimizes the regime. . . . First goes the belief in the legitimacy of the system.
Then comes a trigger–an event which causes large numbers of people to say to themselves, ‘I cannot take this anymore.’ Then, the crucial question is whether those in charge have the nerve to try to crush the rebellion and whether their underlings will follow orders.
If the powers that be are hesitant, ambivalent, or divided, if their underlings are fed up, things can very easily come apart (as they did in eastern Europe, in the Soviet union, and in Tunisia, Egypt, libya, and Syria).”

International Women’s Day ( March 8) is a longtime Communist propaganda tool. What does it say when an official Soviet holiday is enshrined in our mainstream culture? Clearly, Communism isn’t dead; it has just morphed into other forms like Feminism.
It confirms Norman Dodd‘s famous claim that Ford Foundation President Rowan Gaither told him, in 1954, that the agenda was to “socially engineer” US life so that “that it can be comfortably merged with the Soviet Union” as part of banker-controlled world government.

Governments Are Losing Legitimacy Will they start world wars to retain power? Has the Bell Begun To Toll for China? ~ Article by Pat Buchanan.
“Why did the Soviet Union disintegrate? Why did the Soviet Communist Party collapse? An important reason was that their ideals and convictions wavered,” China‘s new leader, Xi Jinping, told a closed meeting of party elite in Guangdong province.
“Finally all it took was one quiet word from Gorbachev to declare the dissolution of the Soviet Communist Party, and a great party was gone,” said Xi, according to notes obtained by The New York Times.
“Everyone is talking about reform, but in fact everyone has a fear of reform,” said Chinese historian Ma Jong. “The question is: Can society be kept under control while you go forward? That is the test.” That is indeed the test.
What is it that gives a party its legitimacy, its right to rule? What holds a nation together when its cradle faith, its founding ideology, has been abandoned by both elites and the people? That is China’s coming crisis.
Retired Russian General Leonid Ivashov told Pravda in a recent interview that America must be held at gunpoint by means of of tactical nuclear weapons which “should constantly be aimed at the United States.”
Ivashov was former chief of general affairs in the Soviet Union’s Ministry of Defence before becoming vice president of the Academy on Geopolitical Affairs.
“Tactical nuclear weapons that are constantly threatening the United States must become the factor that will deter large-scale aggression. Holding it at gunpoint – this is the deterrent,” Ivashov told Pravda.Ru editor-in-chief Inna Novikova.
Republic or Empire? ~ “Though settled by European kingdoms seeking empires, the United States wasn’t founded to become an empire. Individuals fought against the empire building tyrants until their determination and resolve won independence against all odds. “
…..History tells us that Imperial Republics fall. We have the examples of Athens and all the other grasping Greek republics that followed her. We have Rome the example always deferred to of a republic that allowed an empire to stifle freedom.
The list however does not end there, we can look at Venice and the various republics of Renaissance Italy, and of course the First Republic of France which was birthed in blood and died in fire. The siren song of empire has seduced republics down through history to trade in their freedom for power which eventually cost them both their freedom and the power.
It is time to re-think America’s international military commitments.
Though settled by European kingdoms seeking empires, the United States wasn’t founded to become an empire. Individuals fought against the empire building tyrants until their determination and resolve won independence against all odds. Then, although the world was filled with despotic kings, our Framers gave us a Republic.
However, it is worth remembering the exchange that took place between Ben Franklin, the elder statesman of the Constitutional Convention, and an unknown woman. As he left Independence Hall he was asked, “Well Doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy?”
At least ET Williams thinks so…

…..A Sampling of Coup D’états and Black-Flag Operations In US History
“Propaganda is to a democracy what violence is to a dictatorship.” – William Blum
Of course, the truth of many such actions was effectively covered up until historical accuracy was revealed through the Internet Reformation. This is why the history books and public school texts teach only the authorized propaganda version.
The first was the Whiskey Rebellion in 1791 in which armed resistance by citizens against a new whiskey tax took place in opposition to Treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton’s federalist program to increase central government power and revenue. George Washington and an army were used to successfully quell the rebellion.
Cut Commitments, Not Muscle… “On retirement, Robert Gates said any future defense secretary who advises a president to fight another land war in Asia ought to have his head examined. So why do we have 28,000 U.S. troops in Korea and 50,000 in Japan?”
In that year of happy memory, 1972, George McGovern, the Democratic nominee, declared he would chop defense by fully one-third.
A friendly congressman was persuaded to ask Secretary of Defense Melvin Laird to expatiate on what this might mean.
The Pentagon replied the Sixth Fleet might have to be pulled out of the Med, leaving Israel without U.S. protection against the fleet of Adm. Sergei Gorshkov, and provided the congressman a list of U.S. bases that would have to be shut down.
Radio ads were run in the towns closest to the bases on the Pentagon list, declaring they would be closed and all jobs terminated, should McGovern win.
Something akin to this is going on with the impending sequester.
WHY DO THEY NEED SO MANY BULLETS?… (“Why do we automatically presume our government and its operators are benign, and those who warn of oppression are insane?”)

Why is the government disarming us at the same time it is arming itself?
Not wanting to sound paranoid, or like a conspiracy theorist, I think it is nonetheless fair to ask: What foe is the federal government arming itself against?
And should the American people be concerned about a federal government that takes away their guns while simultaneously stockpiling hundreds of millions of rounds of ammunition for its own domestic security use?

“Amerika, 1997, after 10 years of Soviet occupation, 10 years without freedom in a land called, Amerika.” From Wikipedia:
“A decade after its defeat, America is occupied by a United Nations peacekeeping force, the United Nations Special Service Unit (UNSSU). The word “unit” is occasionally omitted, suggesting that the organization may be an allegory for the SS of Nazi Germany.

A True Survival Story
February 3, 2013
When Josef Stalin instituted a campaign of purging dissidents in the 1930′s, some 17 million people were left dead or missing by the time it was all said and done.
Had you been targeted for extermination during this Great Purge, your chances of survival very rapidly approached zero.
Most became victims when their government classified them as enemies of the state.
Some, however, and against all odds, found a way to survive.
This forest [Russian Taiga] is the last and greatest of Earth’s wildernesses. It stretches from the furthest tip of Russia’s arctic regions as far south as Mongolia, and east from the Urals to the Pacific: five million square miles of nothingness, with a population, outside a handful of towns, that amounts to only a few thousand people.
The Daily Bell – Axiom 3: Back to the Articles of Confederation as America’s Central Government (Gunny G: The Solution To THE PROBLEM???)
The Constitutional or Philadelphia Convention took place in Philadelphia from May 25 through September 17, 1787 supposedly to address problems with the Articles of Confederation. Slow methods of communication had made it difficult to govern a decentralized confederation of sovereign states, both at the executive and legislative levels, one of the reasons a more centralized government structure was suggested.
So although the announced public intention was to revise the Articles, powerful interests represented by James Madison and Alexander Hamilton conspired to create a new government instead of improving the lawful and legitimate government of the Articles of Confederation. The result was the Constitution that America operated under for better and sometimes for worse until the coup of Lincoln in 1861 and the total overthrow by Money Power in 1913.
Note most of the participants supported the Constitution because of communication inadequacies of the Articles and had the best of intentions but there was a hidden element consisting of those out to emulate the powerful central governments of Europe.

Traditionally, the nation celebrates an inauguration as a demonstration of the peaceful transfer or extension of presidential power, but for half of the nation’s voters Inauguration Day 2013 is more likely to be a day of mourning, a day of fear for the nation’s ability to survive Barack Hussein Obama.
Let’s start with the basics. As Terence P. Jeffrey points out in a recent commentary on CNSnews.com, “During Barack Obama’s first term as president of the United States, the debt of the federal government increased by $5.8 trillion, which exceeds the combined debt accumulated under all presidents from George Washington through Bill Clinton.”

There are a few things worth knowing about revolutions. Most people don’t participate in them, even if the history books often make it seem otherwise. Revolutions are thought up by small groups of people who then make it everyone’s business. Or alternately they don’t. And those are the revolutions that never happen.
Most people, at any given time and place, are dissatisfied with the government and believe, rightly, that whoever is in charge is guilty of stealing from them, oppressing them and making it impossible for them to live their lives in peace. And they also believe that things are not likely to get any better. Hope is a vanishing emotion that dissipates easily in the drudgery of ordinary everyday work. It may be taken out for a spin on historical occasions, but then it goes back into the barn where it sits for a while gathering dust until it is needed again.
