The NYPD Declares Martial Law in Brooklyn… | Alternative

(Before It’s News) On the heels of three nights of protests over the police slaying of 16 year old Kimani Gray, the NYPD has turned the East Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn into a State of Exception, claiming emergency powers to suspend the constitutional guarantees of the citizenry.

The people regularly targeted by police harassment and violence, overwhelmingly the city’s poor and minority populations, have taken to the streets to speak out against the NYPD’s draconian tactics. The police have in turn responded with even further harsh measures by suppressing the right of the people to voice dissatisfaction with that very same police force.

Cops kettled protesters at Wednesday night’s candlelight vigil, resulting in 46 arrests. Police even arrested Kimani Gray’s distraught sister, Mahnefeh.

The NYPD euphemistically calls the public spaces in which the Constitutional rights of the people are suspended “frozen zones.”

What caused the shortages and stops them from being overcome in this way is the fact that the necessary rise in prices is illegal. It is against the law. According to a Bloomberg news release of November 9, 2012, “New Jersey law defines price gouging as an ‘excessive price increase,’ or of 10 percent or more, during a declared state of emergency.” The same news article also reports that “New York law prohibits selling goods or services for an ‘unconscionably excessive price’ during ‘abnormal disruption of the market.’”

President Barack Hussein “kill list” Obama has offered over 900 Executive Orders (EO), and he is not even through his first term. He is creating a wonderland of government controls covering everything imaginable, including a list of “Emergency Powers” and martial law EOs.

And while Obama is busy issuing EOs to control everything inside the US, he has been issuing EOs to force us to submit to international regulations instead of our US Constitution.

And comments by North Carolina governor Beverly Perdue and former OMB director Peter Orszag only contribute to this pattern.

Is it now time to start connecting the dots? Obama signed EO 13603 on March 22, 2012. Then he signed EO 13617 on June 25, 2012, declaring a national emergency. Then he signed EO 13618 on July 6, 2012.

In EO 13603, entitled, “National Defense Resources Preparedness,” Obama says (among other things) that [we must]:

be prepared, in the event of a potential threat to the security of the United States, to take actions necessary to ensure the availability of adequate resources and production capability, including services and critical technology, for national defense requirements;

Did you know that the federal government claims that it can take away your constitutional rights any time that it wants to? Over the past several decades, there have been an endless parade of laws and executive orders that have been slowly and methodically carving up our rights under the U.S. Constitution. Most Americans are not even aware of the “creeping totalitarianism” that is happening.

Most Americans just trust the “authorities” when they tell us that certain things “must be done” in order to keep us all safe. But even if we gave up all of our privacy, even if we gave up all of our liberties and our freedoms, and even if we gave the government all of our stuff they still would not be able to keep us safe.

It is inevitable that evil people are going to do evil things, and if you are counting on the Obama administration to keep you safe then you are being delusional. Obama is not going to save us from anything. But Obama will gladly take away our rights and our freedoms if the American people allow him to. The Obama administration seems to have an endless lust for more power. Sadly, if we do give away our rights it will have some very serious consequences. If we freely give away all of the rights that we have been given under the U.S. Constitution it will be incredibly difficult to ever get them back. Giving up liberty for security never works, and if we want to be worthy of being called Americans then we need to start standing up for the republic that our forefathers worked so hard to build.

The hysteria over Obama/Soetoro‘s new Executive-order

I must have received 200 emails about the EO issued by the putative president declaring martial law is on the way and no election in November.

This one is typical:

“This Obama EO has gone way beyond Communism or a Police State ! This is total insanity ! It’s done. We waited ourselves into tyrannical oblivion.”

Many read the EO and are concerned as we should be from anything generated by the Red House.

When I first read it, I thought Soetoro didn’t write it because he doesn’t really concern himself with much except playing basketball, raising money, his Wednesday night music sessions or Hollyweird friends stopping in, and second, it’s beyond his abilities in my humble opinion.

State of emergency declared in Quartzsite, Ariz.

QUARTZSITE, Ariz. – A state of emergency has been declared in the small western Arizona town of Quartzsite after a video of a woman being arrested during a public city council meeting went viral and prompted death threats to council members.

Jennifer “Jade” Jones, a blogger and vocal critic of local government, was delivering remarks during the public comment session of a June 28 city council meeting when she was interrupted.

A video posted on YouTube shows council members interrupting her and asking her to leave or be escorted out.

The mayor of Quartzsite, Ed Foster, is heard telling officers to leave Jones alone. “Officer, that woman has the floor you are violating my rules of order,” says Foster.

In the end Jones is restrained and escorted out of the council chambers. On her blog she says her arm was injured in the fracas.

The video has sparked public outrage from some who call it a violation of Jones’ first amendment rights.

Since it went public, Mayor Foster has been ousted and Quartzsite Police Chief Jeff Gilbert has taken control of the town.

Well, not exactly. In fact, he renewed, for the second, time, the Bush administration‘s 9/11 one, a White House press release saying:”Letter from the President on the Continuation of the National Emergency with Respect to Certain Terrorist Attack”

“Section 202d of the National Emergencies Act, 50 USC 1622d, provides for the automatic termination of a national emergency unless, prior to the anniversary date of its declaration, the President publishes in the Federal Register and transmits to the Congress a notice stating that the emergency is to continue in effect beyond the anniversary date.

Consistent with this provision, I have sent to the Federal Register the enclosed notice, stating that the emergency declared with respect to the terrorist attacks on the United States of September 11, 2001, is to continue in effect for an additional year.”"The terrorist threat that led to the declaration on September 14, 2001, of a national emergency continues.

For this reason, I have determined that it is necessary to continue it in effect after September 14, 2010, the national emergency with respect to the terrorist threat.”In fact, no threat existed nine years ago or today. Declaring one, however, lets Washington maraud globally and at home, committing state terror. It’s the only kind that matters, given America’s destructive power and intent to wage it as part of the nation’s permanent war agenda.

If Hurricane Earl seriously wallops North Carolina and looting and chaos ensues, it is entirely possible firearms will be confiscated. On September 1, North Carolina’s governor, Bev Perdue, declared a state of emergency by executive order as Hurricane Earl approaches.“The declaration calls for all state and local governments to cooperate in the North Carolina Emergency Operations Plan,” reports WECT News 6 in Wilmington. Perdue said the National Guard is standing by and ready to respond if the storm hits the state.Earlier today, the National Hurricane Center estimated that Hurricane Earl is approximately 300 miles south of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. U.S. troops are being trained to conduct round-ups, confiscate guns and shoot American citizens, including their own friends and family members, as part of a long-standing program to prepare for the declaration of martial law, according to a soldier who recently returned from Iraq.
