Starting with Benghazi 9-11, the Commander-in-Chief could not be bothered with convening his senior staff to manage the response to the first attack on an American embassy in decades. He needed rest so he could pursue fund-raising the next day. With the bodies of our Ambassador and three other brave Americans still warm, he headed to Las Vegas.

I think the current controversy over immigration reform points to a larger issue in America today, which is that Americans are essentially split on the very idea of what America is and should be.

It used to be that Americans mostly agreed that in order to attain citizenship, immigrants had to not only come to this country legally but also demonstrate, after training and study in the American system, that they believed in the unique United States Constitution and embraced what it means to be an American.

Though that still occurs in the naturalization process, we seem to have abandoned it altogether in connection with the immigration debate.

From March 18-28 the United Nations will again meet with an updated draft to try to finalize passage of its Small Arms Treaty. However it doesn’t seem to be a story, despite being less than 24 hours away. Conservative blogs and sites are as guilty as the Mainstream Media. Almost no one is speaking out against a Treaty that has the ability to change America, and the world as we know it, forever.

To give credit where credit is due I will say that the NRA has not dropped this fight. It just seems that most everyone else views it as a non-story. As of this morning I found six total sources reporting the story within the last two days. I consider that unacceptable. Treaties are ratified by a two-thirds majority of the Senate, and the final version of the U.N.’s Arms Trade Treaty ATT may likely be signed by this president and ratified by this Senate, especially if presented as a “sensible restriction” on international arms trafficking with no impact on our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.But some House members are not going to let it happen without a justified protest.Before the House left for the Thanksgiving break, Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pa., unveiled a resolution to make the treaty not binding and let no federal funds implement it unless the Senate consents and Congress passes implementing legislation.The resolution is co-sponsored by 76 other House members, including some Democrats.”There is considerable cause for alarm regarding the U.N.’s renewed efforts to forge an Arms Trade Treaty that could trample the constitutional rights of Americans and seriously compromise our national security and the security of our allies, whom we will be less able to arm and less quick to defend due to the restrictions placed on us by the ATT,” Kelly said.

As I discussed in my previous article “‘Early Education or Early Indoctrination” our educational curricula could soon come under the control of the United Nations. The United States government supports their attempts at globalizing our American education system and indoctrinating our children in an early education program (0-5 years of age).

 

But attempts to place our children in school from birth are being deterred small business: the daycare industry.

Parents currently have the option of either putting their children in an “early education” school focus from birth until kindergarten or an in-home day care or center.
