Did State Dept. hide this dramatic evacuation?
JERUSALEM – Did the State Department scrub information about a dramatic incident the night of the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi attack in which U.S. Embassy staff 400 miles away in Tripoli evacuated their residential compound under possible terror threat?
The threat was taken so seriously that, according to a key embassy staffer, communications equipment was dismantled and hard drives were smashed with an ax.

The scene was first brought to light in congressional testimony last week by Gregory Hicks, the former U.S. deputy chief of mission in Libya, but it remains largely unreported by news media.
The incident also was not mentioned in the State Department probe nor was it previously reported in news accounts of the attack, which the Obama administration first claimed was a result of popular protests about an anti-Muhammad video.

The US government has blocked a Texas-based company from distributing details online of how to make a plastic gun using a 3-D printer.
The ban, by the State Department citing international arms control law, comes just days after the world’s first such gun was successfully fired.

Earlier today, we learned about a bombshell report that said the CIA´s Benghazi talking points were changed 12 times, with extensive input from the State Department.
It comes after State Department whistleblower Gregory Hicks testified Wednesday that he was shocked when he saw Susan Rice blaming a protest for the attack on numerous talk shows.

Washington, DC – We all know about the notorious Obama “Kill List.” CIA Director John Brennan proudly told us about that last year when he described how the O-Team decides which Americans should be executed by Hellfire Missile fired from remotely piloted aircraft (RPAs). Why hasn’t the White House used this capability to “take out” those who killed our diplomats in Benghazi, Libya last year?

What we know and what we still don’t know.
On September 11, 2012, terrorists attacked our consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and murdered four Americans, including our ambassador. Eight months later, we have learned some of what happened, but many questions remain.
This week the House of Representatives will hold a hearing on Benghazi, because we still don’t know all the facts about how we responded during the seven and a half hours of attacks, why we could do nothing to save the lives of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods, and what, if anything, we have done to deter future attacks against Americans by holding the responsible parties accountable.

Saudia Arabia, United States, Benghazi, Weapons, Benghazi report: Trinkets of treason
We are witnessing one of the biggest government cover-ups since Watergate. A cover-up that involves murder, arms trafficking, and lies by high ranking officials under oath.
It involves the murderous attacks in Benghazi, and congressional investigators just released a 46-page interim progress report that at least exposes Hillary Rodham Clinton and the White House lying under oath.

Could explain why murdered ambassador was in attacked facility
TEL AVIV – Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., may have dropped a bombshell in an interview with Fox News in which he stated that murdered U.S Ambassador Christopher Stevens was in Benghazi to keep weapons caches from falling into the hands of terrorists.
Until now, no official explanation for Stevens deployment to Libya has acknowledged any such activity.
Stevens reportedly died from smoke inhalation as a result of the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks on the U.S. special mission and CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya.

American life must be cheap.
At least in the valuation of the White House and the other big buildings around Washington.
Must be the men and women sent overseas mean nothing. We’ll meet your coffin at Andrews, if there are TV cameras, but damned if we’ll come to your rescue.
That’s what we learned at Benghazi.
As details have come out in dribs and drabs, each new revelation has illustrated the uncomfortable fact that we left those men to fight and die alone.
We did not defend them, we did not relieve them, we just watched them. Our drone circled overhead, providing a real-time video feed, but it did not fire its missiles, it was not used to guide in a relief force, it just took pictures.
Grisly souvenirs of a gutless administration.
For most of a year, our Libyan ambassador and various members of his security detachment warned of danger and pleaded for assistance. Time and time again the people on the ground said it wasn’t safe and they needed protection. Time and time again people in Washington declined the requests. Instead of increasing our security forces there, the administration cut them.
And then the attack came.
Hillary’s contempt of Congress… “It’s time for Congress to get tough with this administration and to stop taking this excuse-making lying down.”
Does anyone else see Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi testimony before the Senate committee for what it is – contempt of Congress?
That’s what it is called when you lie, make excuses, obfuscate and basically tell members in sworn testimony that matters of national security and life and death are none of their business.
“What difference does it make?” has to go down as one of the classic lines of executive-branch contempt for the more powerful branch – what is supposed to be the people’s branch – of government.
Others have explained in plain language all the reasons the truth makes a difference:
Because lying to the people by government to cover up ineptitude and bad policy is serious stuff;
Because the needless and unavenged deaths of an ambassador and other Americans is intolerable;
Because if the executive branch is permitted to get away with such behavior it is likely to be repeated again and again;
Because the people have a right to know what actually happened and information is being purposely and arrogantly withheld;
And because her story makes no sense.
Let me address one of the craziest notions Clinton floated in her testimony Wednesday.

Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul turned the heat up on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Wednesday during her Senate hearing on the Benghazi terrorist attacks, telling her that he would have relieved her from her post if he had been president when the attacks occurred.
Articles: Who (or What) Are They Looking For?
But let’s stick with the topic of Who Are They Looking For?
TSA is omnipresent. Trains, planes and automobiles. Now railroads and buses. Next it will be dog walkers and model airplanes.
Homeland Security peers through every remote camera and surveillance platform. The federal decision to see and record everything is approaching total coverage. You’re even recorded and surveilled in many national parks.
Who, or what, are they looking for? If Al-Qaeda is now our surrogate shadow-military so the US Department of State can pretend to clean hands, who is all this surveillance for? It looks like Washington has targeted you and me as the mission of surveillance. I mean, if the Al-Qaeda boogey-man is now inside the tent, who is Washington looking for?

Going home: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton left New York-Presbyterian Hospital on Wednesday after being treated for a blood clot
Republicans have been battering the Obama Administration and any officials associated with the September 11 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate, which killed four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.
The Washington Post reports that Clinton ‘remains committed’ to appearing in front of the Congressional committees, though no date has been set.
The new House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman, Rep Edward Royce, said the government accountability report on the attack points to ‘an unacceptable failure of leadership’ leading up to the attack.
Some Senate Republicans have threatened to block the confirmation of Sen John Kerry, Clinton’s successor as Secretary of State, until Clinton testifies.
Clinton has long said she planned to leave the job as the nation’s top diplomat after Obama’s first term.
. Her physicians say she suffered no stroke or neurological damage as a result of the clot. She is expected to make a full recovery.
Clinton’s illness led her to cancel an overseas trip and scheduled testimony before Congress about the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
When her absence was reported, several pundits and newspapers accused Clinton of making her illness seem worse than it was to dodge questions from lawmakers over the attack, which has been blamed on lax security installed by the State Department.
The wretched absurdity of the Benghazi report
By Doug Hagmann Wednesday, December 19, 2012
Under the cover of the Newtown school shooting, an “independent” five member investigative panel quietly released an unclassified, 39-page report Tuesday night, detailing their findings of the attack that led to the murder of four Americans in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.
The report cites five main reasons for the loss of life, all primarily related to inadequate security for U.S. personnel. However, the independent panel found that no “U.S. Government employee engaged in misconduct or willfully ignored his or her responsibilities, and, therefore did not find reasonable cause to believe that an individual breached his or her duty so as to be the subject of a recommendation for disciplinary action.” Stated another way, no one is to blame nor will be held accountable for the murders of Americans Sean Smith, Glen Dougherty, Tyrone Woods, and Ambassador Chris Stevens., so just continue with your business.
(Gunny G: What “The Folks” Are Saying About Hillary, Etc.–See reader Responses!) ~ State Department preparing for Libya bombshell?
Susan Rice‘s abrupt withdrawal from consideration for secretary of state, coupled with suggestions from the State Department that Secretary Hillary Clinton may not testify as scheduled next week, has stirred speculation that something big is brewing in the Libya terror attack investigation.
“You’re starting to see the State Department squirm a little bit,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said.
For the better part of the last three months, an independent board has been conducting a review for the State Department of the Sept. 11 terror attack in Benghazi. In anticipation of the report’s conclusion, two congressional committees scheduled hearings for next week in which Clinton was set to testify.

While the GOP is attacking (and Dems defending) the Obama administration in connection with the murder of the U.S. ambassador to Libya, there is a deeper story.
“Rogue”U.S. General Arrested for Activating Special Forces Teams; Ignoring Libya Stand-Down Order
The official story surrounding the events of September 11, 2012 in Bengzahi, Libya which left four Americans dead, has now officially fallen apart.
After numerous flips and flops by the Obama administration, which originally attempted to paint the incident as a Muslim outcry over an anti-Islamic video, whistle blowers throughout the U.S. government, including within the White House, the State Department, national intelligence agencies and the U.S.military have made available stunning details that suggest not only did operational commanders have live visual and audio communications from drones overhead and intelligence assets on the ground, but that some commanders within the military were prepared to go-it-alone after being told to “stand down.”
Benghazi: Where the hell were the Marines? Yo! Half our embassies have no Marines | Diplopundit
There is a misconception out there shared by some Americans that when they get in trouble overseas, Uncle Sam will come get them.

That’s wrong. He won’t send a helicopter rescue nor the US Marines, not even if our countrymen are in a foreign jail.
Another misconception has to do with the US Marines. On Wednesday, Senator Rand Paul over in the Washington Times asks, “Where the hell were the Marines?”
Obama Knew… (See Reader Responses)
Did ideological soft spot for Sharia keep U.S government from protecting Benghazi consulate?
Obama knew.
Say again, Obama knew.
So. The question.
If what happened in Benghazi wasn’t incompetence — was it ideology?
Did Sharia kill Ambassador Chris Stevens, Foreign Service officer Sean Smith, and two Navy SEALs?
And is Hillary Clinton‘s insistence yesterday that the leaked State Department e-mails were “not evidence” yet more evidence that indicates the Obama White Housenot only knew what was going on but deliberately turned a blind eye to Benghazi because of that ideology?
Specifically, did an ideological soft spot for Sharia — Obama’s name is being used by his step-grandmother to raise funds to educate kids in Sharia — blind the U.S. government to the threat posed by Ansar Al-Sharia? A group whose objective, says its Libyan leader, is to “impose Sharia” on Libya.
A group whose namesake in Yemen is a subsidiary of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (“AQAP” in State Department language). It was, recall, Obama himself who first dismissed the so-called “Underwear Bomber” as an “isolated extremist.”
Finally the administration was forced to admit that AQAP was responsible for “the December 25, 2009 attempted attack on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit, Michigan.”
First, the e-mails.

The chairman of the House Armed Services Committee is demanding answers from four senior United States military officers about whether there was advance warning of terrorist threats and the need for greater security prior to last month’s terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
However, an aide to the chairman, Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon, (R., Calif.), said the office of secretary of defense Leon Panetta blocked the senior officers from providing the answers last night.
“The chairman is disappointed that the administration won’t respond to this basic request for information,” the aide said.
Hillary Made Decision Not to Post Marines at Benghazi
In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Fox News military analyst Colonel David Hunt laid the blame for the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans at the Benghazi, Libya American mission on Hillary Clinton and the State Department:
The State Department just allowed our guys to get killed. If you approve no bullets in guns for the mission security guards and an outhouse for a mission, you’re inviting it.
Earlier, on Howie Carr‘s radio show Thursday, Colonel Hunt said that the American mission at Benghazi “was like a cardboard building, there wasn’t even bullet proof glass.”
In addition, Hunt said the security guards inside the mission didn’t have bullets:……
Hillary Clinton reveals what REALLY led to Benghazi massacre – and demolishes White House claim
The State Department has said that it never believed the September 11th attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was the result of a protest over an anti-Islam movie – directly contracting the rest of the Obama administration.
By trying to distance her department from the inept and deceptive handling of the Benghazi attack, which left U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens and three other American officials dead, Hillary Clinton could help herself politically for a 2016 presidential run.

Bombshell: Obama Administration Deleted State Dept. Memo From Internet After Discovering Al-Qaeda
Yesterday there were reports that the Obama Administration found out that Al-Qaeda was behind the Benghazi consulate attacks within 24 hours of the assault that killed four Americans.
So what was their first action? Did they secure the compound? – No, that took over a week to get FBI agents to the consulate Did they acknowledge it was an Al-Qaeda attack? No, Obama this week blamed the terror attack on a YouTube protest.

On Friday, TheBlazeTV’s Andrew Wilkow hosted former Secret Service agent and GOP Senate candidate Dan Bongino to discuss the facts surrounding the deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya earlier this week. U.S. AmbassadorChris Stevens and three of his staff were killed when an angry mob of Islamists stormed the compound.
Bongino said there are only two possible reasons the U.S. was as unprepared for the fiery assault as it was.
State Department sent gay man to be ambassador to Libya
Today I went out into the field here in Chicago looking to talk to some of the striking teachers but no one in a red-shirt was anywhere to be found (or, if they were wearing one, they had nothing to do with the teachers’ union strike).
A journalist friend of mine asked me to nose around and see if I could uncover anything about slain Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was rumored to be gay.
A former “roommate” of Stevens by the name of Austin Tichenor lives and works in Chicago and while making calls to friends of mine in the theater world who know him I also thought to check some sources with the city who deal with the State Department and foreign dignitaries when they are in town.
