Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper is expected to sign into law a bill that would give the U.S. Secret Service “limited” police power while operating in the state of Colorado.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The bill, SB 13-013, which has already been passed by both the Colorado House and Senate, has sparked a firestorm of controversy because of fears that the proposed power could be used by Secret Service agents, acting on behalf of the Obama administration, to arrest sheriffs in Colorado who refuse to enforce unconstitutional federal gun controls.

Soon will be able to enforce Obama gun laws without sheriffs’ help

 

A bill is heading to Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper’s desk that Republican lawmakers say would give members of the Secret Service broad arrest powers in the state and could provide a framework for federal agents eventually to enforce gun restrictions.

 

“This is absolutely insane,” Rep. Lori Saine, R-Dacono, said. “In theory if a Secret Service agent is in a county where the sheriff has refused to enforce some of the recent unenforceable gun laws, the agent could arrest an individual if he believes the law has been broken.”

In an “exclusive” interview with ABC, Barack Obama on Wednesday dodged responsibility for the ending of White House tours, stating, “I have to say this was not a decision that went up to the White House.” The President placed the responsibility on the Secret Service. Later in the day, press secretary Jay Carney contradicted Obama and admitted that the White House cancelled the tours. ABC’s World News on Wednesday and Good Morning America on Thursday didn’t bother to cover updates on Obama’s denial.

President Obama says he’s not the one who canceled the White House tours. He made the comments in an interview with ABC News.

 

“[O]ne more question about the spending cuts,” said the interviewer from ABC News. “You’ve been takin’ a lotta heat for this cancellation of the White House tours. They get– the Secret Service says it’s costs about $74,000 a week. Was canceling them really necessary?”

President Barack Obama signed a bill into law on Thursday guaranteeing himself Secret Service protection for the rest of his life.

 

White House press secretary Jay Carney said Obama signed the “Former Presidents Protection Act of 2012” on Thursday. The law affects Obama, former President George W. Bush and future presidents, who under current law would only be protected for 10 years after leaving office.

Some interesting news has broken in the wake of the latest push for gun control by President Obama and Senate Democrats: Obama sends his kids to a school where armed guards are used as a matter of fact.

 

The school, Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, has 11 security officers and is seeking to hire a new police officer as we speak.

If you dismiss this by saying, “Of course they have armed guards — they get Secret Service protection,” then you’ve missed the larger point.

 

The larger point is that this is standard operating procedure for the school, period. And this is the reason people like NBC’s David Gregory send their kids to Sidwell, they know their kids will be protected from the carnage that befell kids at a school where armed guards weren’t used (and weren’t even allowed).

 

 

 

Shame on President Obama for seeking more gun control and for trying to prevent the parents of other school children from doing what he has clearly done for his own. His children sit under the protection guns afford, while the children of regular Americans are sacrificed.

Records show Mr Biden has collected more than $13,000 since April on the cottage in Greenville, a wealthy Wilmington suburb, and is eligible for up to $66,000 (£40,000) before the contract expires in 2013.

Media Hastily Erace Articles About Malia Obama’s Appearance at One Direction Concert

Several media outlets have again pulled or edited already-published articles about the activities of President Barack Obama’s daughter, even though the stories appeared to pose no active security risk to the first family.

On Thursday, 14-year-old Malia Obama attended a concert by the British boy band One Direction at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., flanked by Secret Service agents who attempted unsuccessfully to blend in with the crowd of mostly pre-teen girls.

At one point during the concert, the boy bands’ teen heartthrobs sang, “You’re insecure, Dunno what for, You’re turning heads when you walk through the door” — words that managed to take on some meaning for Malia, who looked less than enthused by the presence of multiple middle-aged federal agents at her side.

On Friday, the story was picked up by the liberal website The Huffington Post, which ran the headline, “Malia Obama, One Direction Fan: First Daughter Attends Boy Band Concert with Secret Service in Tow.”

Within hours, the entire post was scrubbed from the site without explanation, and the post’s URL was hastily changed to direct users to the site’s celebrity section.

The next day, news aggregation website Buzzfeed ran a story on the event, accompanied by a picture of Malia in attendance at the concert. The headline was “Malia Obama Goes to the One Direction Concert with the Secret Service,” and the story’s picture showed Malia standing awkwardly in front of a scowling male Secret Service agent, with what appear to be two additional female Secret Service agents standing to her right.

CBS 2 Chief Correspondent Jay Levine has exclusive details on those security measures, which the Secret Service is expected to officially unveil on Friday, or at the very latest, on Monday. TSA mission creep has infected “security arrangements” for the upcoming NATO war council to be held in Chicago beginning May 20.

“Some stations on the Metra Electric Line and South Shore Line could be shut down during the upcoming NATO summit, and passengers at other stations could face airport-style security screenings, due to the Secret Service security plan that could be released as soon as Friday afternoon,” CBS News reported on Thursday.

On Friday or Monday the Secret Service will release information about restrictions to be imposed on Chicagoans and a list of street closures. The feds have “been battling with Metra and the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District over the security measures that will be needed on the Electric and South Shore lines, which both run directly under McCormick Place,” according to CBS.

In mid-April the Chicago Tribune reported that the federal government would not place downtown Chicago on a virtual security lockdown and trains would be allowed to pass under McCormick Place. The latest announcement by the scandal-ridden Secret Service will instead migrate intrusive police state molestation techniques from airports and select bus stations to the Windy City.

The Secret Service scandal has spread to a second hotel in Cartagena, Colombia — the hotel where the president of the united states was staying while he attended a Latin summit April 12-14.

CBS News correspondent Whit Johnson reports that a law enforcement official told him a 13th agent is under investigation for bringing a prostitute back to the swanky Hilton Hotel where President Barack Obama was staying.

The ranking member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee said on CNN this morning that there’s extra concern for President Obama’s safety seeing as how he’s around people with “guns strapped on their legs.”

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) spoke with Candy Crowley on “State of the Union” about the Secret Service scandal. Cummings and Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) sent a letter to Secret Service director Mark J. What can we learn from allegations against a half-dozen supervisors in the Government Services Administration for wasting, and perhaps stealing, taxpayer dollars on foolishness in Las Vegas, and against a dozen Secret Service agents for dangerously procuring prostitutes in Cartagena, Colombia, while there to prepare for a visit by the president?

If the allegations are true — and they seem to be — the behavior of these government workers reflects a view of government hardly consistent with the idea of limited government and public trust. The United States is the only nation in history founded on the principle that people voluntarily gave up some personal freedom in order to form a central government of limited powers and for limited purposes. Nugent’s words got even more descriptive at times, calling Obama a criminal and saying his administration is “wiping its a– with the Constitution.”

He also flayed four Supreme Court justices for what he says is their stance against Americans’ “right to keep and bear arms.”

He ended with a call to politically decapitate Democrats in November: “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?”

A hotel employee said the agents arrived at the beachfront hotel about a week ago, and claimed they were drinking heavily during their stay.
