The congressman said that the solution for combating all these dangers was rejection of government force of rule and “the simple moral premise of rejecting all acts of aggression”.
Paul ended, as ever, with modesty and with a simple, straightforward message:
“I have come to one firm conviction after these many years of trying to figure out the plain truth of things. The best chance for achieving peace and prosperity, for the maximum number of people worldwide, is to pursue the cause of liberty. If you find this to be a worthwhile message, spread it throughout the land.”

Ron Paul Slams Obamas SOTU As Campaign Speech t1larg.ron paul sotu.t1largDescribing president Obama’s State Of The Union Speech as “rhetoric” and “bragging”, GOP presidential candidate Ron paul said in a statement today that “Instead of offering solutions to the problems our country faces, the President was intent on delivering a campaign speech.”
The Congressman added that Obama’s speech dealt “in the typical Washington political gamesmanship that has gotten us exactly nowhere close to improving the lives of the American people.”Paul noted that Obama seemed to be “bragging” about job creation when his “universal” health care plan was actually “job-destroying”. The Congressman also noted that the Dodd-Frank bill “guarantees future taxpayer bailouts of large institutions.”Responding to Obama’s comments on “an economy where everyone gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules” Paul said
Prison Planet.com » Ron Paul: People Call Me ‘Kooky’ Because They Can’t Defend Themselves Intellectually
Ron Paul gave a good account of himself this morning in a series of interviews following his second place finish in the New Hampshire primary. One interview in particular stood out as Paul defended his foreign policy from claims that it is “kooky”.
In a somewhat bizarre change of subject during an interview with Fox & Friends, host Gretchen Carlson seemed embarrassed, stating “Congressman, excuse me for saying this but do you believe some people call you kooky… for your foreign policy only? Is that the reason why?”
Paul responded “They use those terms because they can’t defend themselves intellectually.”
“If they say my foreign policy is kooky, maybe they ought to look at what is happening.” Paul added. “…invading a country like Iraq, who never did a thing to us, killing a lot of people and turning it over to the shiites who are allies with the Iranians, I call that kooky.”
“I call it kooky allowing our president now to go into numerous countries, even today he went into another African country without permission of the Congress. Fighting undeclared wars, that is kooky, and that is why the American people are sick and tired of what we have.” Paul urged.
“They choose that term to discredit me because I’m the consistent one.” Paul said, referring to his critics.
“Spending more money overseas is conservative? Where did that come from?” Paul stated. “Too many conservatives say ‘that’s our position, spend more overseas’. That doesn’t make any sense to me.”
Ron Paul has once again hit full throttle and gone on the attack against Newt Gingrich, releasing yet another new ad spot that raises a number of facts Gingrich would prefer the voting public to forget about.
Entitled ‘Selling Access’, the clip is another two-minute web piece highlighting Gingrich’s status as a Washington establishment insider who used his position to reap millions for himself.
“He is the absolute symbol of that corrupt system,” a voice over taken from previous news analysis states in the ad. “This guy hasn’t got skeletons in his closets, he’s got a whole graveyard in there,” says another.
Gingrich is heard bragging about earning $60,000 per speech after leaving office and referring to himself as an ‘insider’.

Thank goodness this sort of thing doesn’t happen in the land of the free… oh wait

Video has emerged of Russian pro Democracy protesters being watched by hovering surveillance drones overhead.
25,000 people gathered in Bolotnaya Square in Moscow Saturday, were stunned to witness the strange hovering object directly above them. Some climbed trees to take pictures and get a closer look at the “UFO”.
The craft is clearly some kind of small quadricopter drone similar to the one pictured below:
These drones can be controlled via a touch screen interface and the video can be transmitted in real time via wireless modem or Wi-Fi to 3 km by iPhone, iPad connected to the network, laptop or a similar device.
World ‘On Verge Of New Recession’

UN Warns Of Sharp Increase In Social Unrest
A prominent UN agency has issued a warning that the globe is hurtling toward a long recession, a 40 million worldwide job shortage and an increase in large scale social unrest.
In a report published today, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) warns that the world faces an imminent “dramatic downturn” in employment and urges the G20 to act to “soften the impact”.
Outlining that the globe faces a “new and deeper jobs recession”, the report, titled World of Work Report 2011: Making Markets Work for Jobs, warns that job creation is slowing and worldwide unemployment stands at a record of more than 200m.
“We estimate that for the next two years, the world economy would need 80 million jobs to bring the unemployment rate down to what it was before the crisis” in 2007, said Raymond Torres, who heads the ILO’s research institute.
Adding that the “world economy would create just 40 million jobs,” in that time, the report estimates that at current trend levels it will take at least five years to return employment in advanced economies to pre-crisis levels.
An all time high of 69% also say they have little or no confidence in the legislative branch of government, with a record 57% adding that they have little or no confidence in the federal government to solve domestic problems, and a high of 53% saying they have little or no confidence in their elected officials.
The reason for such negativity amongst the American people is quite clear. The government simply does not listen to or act in the public interest.
Dissatisfaction With Government Reaches All Time High vlftuuf3gu ghdaufqtcgq
Another interesting Gallup poll finds that the majority of Americans rate Obama as the same or even worse when compared with George W. Bush. 22% see no difference between the two, while 34% believe Obama has been an even worse president than Bush was.
Half of all respondents said that Obama compares less favorably to Bill Clinton, with just 12% believing he has been a better president for the country.

Regarding it’s governance survey, Gallup concedes that “with another budget showdown looking inevitable and a contentious presidential election year getting underway, it appears the ratings reviewed here could get worse before they improve.”
