Congressional inquiry into the Department of Homeland Security’s huge ammunition acquisitions spurred agency officials to try to explain what is going on. At current inventory levels, DHS has four to five times as many bullets for its officers as the US Army has for our troops.

DHS training officer Humberto Medina pointed out that “the Army faces known enemies in numbers far smaller than we have to consider. I mean, Afghanistan’s population is tiny compared to that of the United States. And the Army can supplement with aerial and artillery bombardment. We don’t have that capacity at this time.”

Medina also suggested that “Army troops are better trained and more accurate shooters than the majority of those we’ve recruited for Homeland Security. So it stands to reason that we’d need to fire more rounds to hit any given target, whether it be in a training exercise or, heaven forbid, suppressing an insurrection. In a nation with over 300 million potential enemies an inventory of billions of bullets doesn’t seem unreasonable to me.”

Prison Planet.com » Why Are Preppers Hated So Much?

December 11, 2012 2 comments

Have you noticed that it has become trendy to bash preppers? For a long time the prepper movement was ignored, but now it has become so large that it is getting very difficult for the mainstream media to pretend that it is not there.

In fact, it has been estimated that there are now approximately 3 million preppers in the United States alone. So now the mainstream media has decided that mocking the movement is the best strategy, and lots of “critics” and “skeptics” out there have picked up on this trend. Instead of addressing the very real issues that have caused millions of Americans to prepare for the worst, those criticizing the prepper movement attempt to put the focus on individual personalities.

They try to find the strangest nutjobs they possibly can and then hold them up as “typical preppers”. The goal is to portray preppers as tinfoil hat wearing freaks that need to be locked up in the loony bin for their own personal safety and for the good of society. The criticism of preppers has really ramped up in recent months, and it will likely get even worse in 2013. The establishment does not like any movement that is outside of their control, and the prepper movement is definitely not under their control.

It’s not just the Department of Homeland Security that is gearing up for the prospect of civil unrest in America. The U.S. Army also recently purchased a stock of riot gear including batons, face masks and body shields.

As military vehicles roll down streets and highways in St. Louis, Missouri amidst rising concerns about martial law, the U.S. Army has admitted that having troops conduct law enforcement duties is illegal in the United States.

Residents in St Louis were shocked last week to see heavily armored U.S. Army vehicles patrolling neighborhoods, part of an exercise that runs until Friday. However, the local media responded by featuring ‘vox pops’ interviews with people who supported the use of the military in order to “cut down on crime,” despite the fact that using the Army for domestic law enforcement is forbidden under the Posse Comitatus Act.

Sightings of vehicles provokes fears of martial law

Paul Joseph Watson

Prison Planet.com

Friday, June 22, 2012

St Louis City residents have been warned to not be alarmed at the sight of U.S. Army tanks rolling down residential neighborhoods after sightings of the vehicles provoked fears of martial law.

The exercise is part of a U.S. Army program run by military police from Fort Meade, Maryland focused around training MPs from St. Louis how to drive heavily armored tanks “on highways and on city streets.”

Sightings of the tanks prompted hundreds of residents to flood news channel KSDK’s Facebook page, with some expressing fears that martial law had arrived with others promising to “stop and salute” the tanks as they rolled by.

Reporting that he was told by the Army not to disclose the location of where the exercise was operating out of for “security reasons,” KSDK reporter Casey Nolan downplayed the exercise as “not such a big deal.”

America’s “Dimwit General” Calls for Martial Law

———————————————

By Gordon Duff and Senior Army Staffers (Anon)

I was sent the initial article written by Joe Wolverton from the New American, who I credit but included is more than a comment or two on Army Chief of Staff Raymond Odierno.

There is an agreement within his own staff and those who have ever served with him, General Odierno is the biggest “horses ass’ to have worn an American uniform since Custer. The term his staff uses, to be quite exact is “dangerous dimwit.”

This week, Odierno, a member of the CFR, the Council on Foreign Relations, a group consisting of failed academics, rap artists, former hockey players who too many high sticks to the head and delusional dimwits like Odierno, advocated the use of the Army any time local police need help.

Man beats dog? Call in the army, hell, get a raptor overhead, get a company of Rangers, kill the man, the dog and spray his lawn with Agent Orange to boot.

If only I were making it up:

“Where appropriate we will also dedicate active-duty forces, especially those with niche skills and equipment, to provide civilian officials with a robust set of reliable and rapid response options.”…Odierno

Because of fear of retaliation, comments I will use as quotes will be anonymous. Here is an interpretation of how Odierno’s views, taken in light of his oath, manage to stay from both reality and legality:

(“They say that no good deed goes unpunished. Zahid Chaudhry is learning that the hard way.”) Disabled Army Vet Faces Deportation for Volunteering to Serve Community | Veterans Today

May 25, 2012 Leave a comment

They say that no good deed goes unpunished. Zahid Chaudhry is learning that the hard way.

Listen to my interview with Ann and Zahid Chaudry from last year . Yesterday’s interview will soon be posted at http://www.americanfreedomradio.com.

by Kevin Barrett

A Pakistani national who served in the US Army, suffered a disability, and was honorably discharged, Chaudhry approached the Yakima, WA Police Department in 2001 to volunteer as an emergency reserve volunteer – the folks who get cats out of trees and otherwise lend a hand, as needed, to their local police.

Unfortunately for Chaudhry, an over-zealous cop there wasn’t interested in help from Muslims. Instead, he launched a campaign to get Chaudhry deported. The excuse? According to the cop, Chaudhry falsely claimed to be a citizen on his volunteer application.

In fact, Chaudhry did not answer the written question asking, in a great many words, “Can you produce evidence of citizenship status?” He was not sure what it meant. But later, someone apparently answered the question for him, by checking the “yes” box. (All of Chaudhry’s answers used an X; only the citizenship question was answered with a check mark, and a handwriting expert has testifies that the check mark was not made by Chaudhry.)

Prison Planet.com » Army Admits Re-Education Camp Manual “Not Intended For Public Release”

Public Affairs Director falsely claims document does not apply within U.S.

Paul Joseph Watson

Infowars.com

Wednesday, May 9, 2012

Fort Leonard Wood Public Affairs director Tiffany Wood has provided the first official response to the shocking U.S. Army document that outlines the implementation of re-education camps, admitting that the manual was “not intended for public release” and claiming that its provisions only apply outside the United States, a contention completely disproved by the language contained in the document itself.

Army Admits Re Education Camp Manual Not Intended For Public Release yd aciIq1p6eUPeyhFIwADl72eJkfbmt4t8yenImKBVaiQDB Rd1H6kmuBWtceBJ

After a reader sent Wood a link to where the manual, entitled FM 3-39.40 Internment and Resettlement Operations (PDF), can be downloaded on the army.mil website (but only by military employees with special credentials), Wood responded by stating that the document should not be in the public domain.

“The document was not intended for public release,” said Wood, adding, “Any other questions regarding the

document, you will need to file a FOIA request.”

This means that either hackers have obtained access to a secure military website and downloaded the manual or it was leaked by a military employee concerned about the content of the document.

U.S. Army prepares to invade U.S.

September 27, 2011 1 comment

During debates on the Banker Bailout Bill on the floor of Congress in 2008, Congressman Brad Sherman made a startling revelation “Many of us were told in private conversations that if we voted against this bill on Monday that the sky would fall, the market would drop 2 or 3000 points the first day and another couple of thousand points the second day and a few members were even told that there would be MARTIAL LAW IN AMERICA if we voted no.”

Plans to suspend the Constitution have been taking place behind the scenes under cover of ‘Continuity of Government Contigency’ plans first exposed in the mid 1980 and raised by Congressman Jack Brooks during the Iran-Contra hearings and squashed by hearing chairman Daniel Inouye, HI.

DON’T YOU DARE CALL ME A SOLDIER!!!

http://www.angelfire.com/ca/dickg/soldier.html

Excerpts Only…(Please See Main Site for entire article)

“Marines’ sites and bulletin boards on the Internet are nothing short of amazing regarding what many do not know about Marine Corps history and traditions. There are numerous cases where Marines–some of them even senior enlisted Marines and officers–post and respond to downright erroneous information demonstrating a definite lack of knowledge on various topics of Marine Corps interest. I have addressed several of these individual topics elsewhere on Gunny G’s.”

“Perhaps, some independent study would be in order–better start at the top!”

“One random example, among many I have noticed, are several items lately where Marines are lambasting someone or other on the subject of one’s having dared to refer to a Marine, or Marines, using the term “soldier.”

“With righteous indignation they scream that they are Marines, not soldiers, and they decry those who call them such! And rightfully so, in some cases, where the media or an individual, whatever, is using that term within an inappropriate context.”

“Of course, they (both the writer and the Marine) are acting out of their own lack of knowlege. The user of the term “soldier” is not aware that he should generally refer to all Marines as “Marines”; and the Marine is very likely ignorant of the fact that the word “soldier” is also correct, in some cases.”

“Members of our sister-service, for example, the U.S. Army, are soldiers, that is their name, but Marines are not soldiers in that sense at all. I am referring to Marines as soldiers in a much broader, higher sense, as a class of soldier that goes to the root of what a Marine is and does.”

“And, finally, the more recent (2001) book,”Chesty The Story of Lieutenant General Lewis B. Puller, USMC,” by Jon T. Hoffman, LtCol USMCR, in which he named Chapter 1, “Making a Man and a Soldier” Genesis of a Marine.”

“And many more references can be found, but suffice to say, for the purpose of my little spiel here, that these few examples should establish that the use of “soldier” was long commonly in use in the Corps.”

“And so is the use of the term “soldier” valid? Yes, I think all of the above has shown that it is, but please consider this information within the context which I have presented it. At the same time, however, I agree that the use of that term has generally fallen out of use, but not altogether. It may be that its decline began at the end of WW II when the Marine Corps was fighting for it’s continued existence when Congress, and the US Army, was seeking to severly cut back the size of the Corps and/or eliminate it altogether.”

ADDENDUM:
Once, not too long ago, 2003, I believe, a dedication stone was said to have been placed in Puller Park, in Virginia. The stone fully identified General Puller as a Marine, LtGen Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller, USMC (Ret.)–and in addition it also bore the words. Patriot, and Soldier. In the months thereafter, Marines of one category or another raised such a public stink about it (the word Soldier) that they were successful in getting the stone replaced. Amazing. Call it vanity, political correctness, mistaken pride, whatever–it’s a changed world.
