In his 1850 Disquisition on Government, John C. Calhoun argued that a written constitution would never be sufficient to contain the plundering proclivities of a central government. Some mechanisms for assuring consensus among the citizens of the states regarding “federal” laws would be necessary.

Consequently, Calhoun proposed giving citizens of the states veto power over federal laws that they believed were unconstitutional (the “concurrent majority”). He also championed the Jeffersonian idea of nullification. To Calhoun (and Jefferson), states’ rights meant that the citizens of the states were sovereign over the central government that they created as their agent, and could only be so if such mechanisms — including the right of secession — existed.

The petition has 22,717 signatures and was going to make 25,000.

 

Now they have changed the threshold to 100,000.

If gun-free zones make people safe, then why don’t we declare the immediate vicinity of the President and Vice-President to be gun-free zones and send the Secret Service home? Or are gun-free zones good enough for our kids, but not good enough for our overlords? It is the height of arrogance and hypocrisy for politicians to surround themselves with armed guards while insisting that our children be soft targets.

Those persons who registered so they could vote on November 6, 2012, for United States Senators and Representatives in the United States House of Representatives, also, qualified to vote for one of the candidates for President. All the candidates for the Offices of President and Vice President were the nominees of the political parties who qualified for the Offices of President and Vice President created by the Twelfth Amendment. Federal voters are not electors they vote for a President by voting for the Presidential Electors pledged to vote for that candidate.

Blood was leaking in his brain and it required an immediate operation. His condition was so serious that he received Last Rites from a Catholic priest.

 

May 4, 1988 he underwent second surgery to continue the process of putting his brain back into working order.

 

Based on his performance in last week’s Vice Presidential debate these procedures may not have been entirely successful.

 

 

 

Full recovery from any kind of a medical episode involving a brain aneurysm is never a sure thing.

Last night during the United States of America lone Vice President debate, it was a very live wire performance.It was simply the difference between a calm, measured, adult, Rep. Paul Ryan in his responses and a Vice President Joe Biden who was if not acting like a “clown”, he was sure acting like a “drama king.”

Overall, it looked like VP Biden was simply was “cracking up” under the pressure to perform as Vice President.Looks like Rep. Paul Ryan was not only speaking to the GOP/Republican base, but to the rest of the country as a whole and in a special way, to those who call themselves “independents” and “moderates.” He went into detail with the math on what needs to get done in order to get the USA back on track. VP Biden goes into caustic lectures, and he sure sounded like he was a know-it-all. I could not believe he would be laughing half the time. Is VP Biden laughing at a country in serious decline?

I would like to address an issue that is apparently of concern to a significant number of people. In my “Ask Fred” column, several people have expressed concern (some have been adamant and angry)

They contend that at least one of his parents were required at the time of his birth to have been a citizen for him to fulfill the constitutional requirement of eligibility, even though he was born on American soil.

I will not vote for Marco Rubio as Vice President if Mitt Romney selects him to run on his ticket.  He is NOT constitutionally eligible to be President or Vice President, and I would be a damn hypocrite in holding my ire and giving him my vote after working as hard as possible to educate people on Barack Obama’s ineligibility.

Barack Hussein Obama is an illegal President. He is not now nor has he ever been eligible to be a candidate for or hold that office because his father was a British subject at the time of his birth.

Article II, Section I, Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution requires that all candidates for the Presidency be “natural born citizens.” As defined in the binding Supreme Court precedent of Minor v. Happersett (1875) and confirmed in the subsequent ruling of U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark (1898) and others, all candidates for the offices of President and Vice President must be second generation Americans, that is, US citizens of citizen parents at the time of birth.

President and Vice President are the only U.S. political offices with that requirement. It was the intent of the American Founding Fathers that the chief executive and the commander-in-chief of the armed forces would not have dual allegiance or loyalty to a foreign power.

The Petition for Naturalization on behalf of Mario Rubio, the senator’s Cuban father, has been retrieved from the National Archives and posted online by the PixelPatriot website, confirming that Marco Rubio was about four years old when his parents became U.S. citizens. Specifically, Mario Rubio was naturalized as an American citizen in 1975, based on the Sept. 9, 1975, date on the petition; Marco Rubio was born in 1971.

Obama refuses to pay for 2008 campaign event

Three and a half years after a rally by then candidate Barack Obama in Springfield, city officials in the state capitol say they are left holding the bill for police overtime.

On August 23, 2008 the Obama campaign rolled through central Illinois to announce Joe Biden as its Vice Presidential running mate…

Thousands turned out in the square by the old State Capitol to witness the announcement. But before the event could begin, the city of Springfield had work to do, said Alderman Frank Edwards.

“There are a lot of things that they asked for,” Edwards said. “Extra police, move things. You’ve got to have this A to Z and we provided that.”

The event went off without a hitch. Obama moved on to Denver, got his party’s nomination and ultimately a history-making general election victory.

But back in Springfield there remains one piece of unfinished business: an unpaid bill for $55,480.

“What they refused to pay was the $55,000 associated with police overtime for extra security,” said city Budget Director William McCarty.

On March 10, 2011 Alderman Edwards wrote the White House and the president “…to request your help.”…

Since 2009, McCarty says city officials have tried to determine who was responsible for the overdue debt.

“They contacted the DNC. They contacted the Obama campaign,” he said but no one wanted to pay. “That’s when the finger pointing began because the Obama campaign said we are a private organization, we are not responsible for the security.”

To try and cut through the clutter Edwards asked the President to intercede: “…sometimes only the executive himself can cut through such inter-departmental differences of opinion,” he wrote in last year’s letter. There was no immediate response.

On November 15, 2011 the Deputy COO of Obama for America, replied the Obama team wasn’t responsible for security or other costs.

This week a campaign officials said: “Presidential campaigns are not responsible for security costs.”

If a question persists Teal Baker wrote: “…we assume it should be directed to the U.S. Secret Service.”

Springfield officials contacted a local representative of the Secret Service but McCarty says they didn’t get too far, telling them: “We don’t pay bills out of here, you’ll need to contact Washington…

After spending a lifetime in politics John C. Calhoun (U.S. Senator, Vice President of the United States, Secretary of War) wrote his brilliant treatise, A Disquisition on Government, which was published posthumously shortly after his death in 1850.

In it Calhoun warned that it is an error to believe that a written constitution alone is “sufficient, of itself, without the aid of any organism except such as is necessary to separate its several departments, and render them independent of each other to counteract the tendency of the numerical majority to oppression and abuse of power” (p. 26). The separation of powers is fine as far as it goes, in other words, but it would never be a sufficient defense against governmental tyranny, said Calhoun.

It is a riveting film, released at the very height of the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. The film is a tale of a Soviet Communist plot where brainwashed and conditioned Korean War POWs are released back to the USA with a mission: Return home and assassinate a Presidential Candidate. The Soviets hope that in the ensuing panic and a desire for stability, that Vice-Presidential Candidate [ actually a communist dupe controlled by his wife] would be placed at the top of the ticket and swept into office sympathetically by voters.

It is now the patriotic duty of individual states to rescue the United States.

Before the 2012 election, we must push our state legislatures to pass laws requiring Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates to prove that they are natural born citizens i.e. born in the United States, of citizen parents at the time of birth, in order for them to appear on the state ballot.

Pelosi, why the two Certifications of Nomination?

It seems that former Speaker of the House and Chair of the Democratic National Convention, Nancy Pelosi, might have made a mistake similar to that made by Colonel Nathan R. Jessup (Jack Nicholson) in the movie “A Few Good Men”.

Colonel Jessup issued two concurrent, but conflicting orders, which presumably resulted in him being tried and sent to prison.

One important lesson from the movie is that no one is above the law. Another is that Demi Moore is one foxy chick.

I must admit, however, that Nancy Pelosi is still a very attractive woman for her age, although for some, the enthusiastic application of cosmetics can make one look like an over-ripe tomato.

But I digress.

Allegedly Pelosi issued two different certifications verifying the eligibility of Barack Obama for the Presidency, which were both prepared on the same day and notarized by the same individual.

The Certification of Nomination sent to the state of Hawaii mentioned the Constitutional requirement:

“THIS IS TO CERTIFY that at the National Convention of the Democrat Party of the United States of America, held in Denver, Colorado on August 25 through 28, 2008, the following were duly nominated as candidates of said Party for President and Vice President of the United States respectively and that the following candidates for President and Vice President of the United States are legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution.. ”

The Certification of Nomination sent to the other 49 states did not mention the Constitutional requirement:

“THIS IS TO CERTIFY that at the National Convention of the Democrat Party of the United States of America, held in Denver, Colorado on August 25 though 28, 2008, the following were duly nominated as candidates of said Party for President and Vice President of the United States respectively.. ”

If this is true, it would appear that in Pelosi’s view, the Constitutional requirements for Presidential eligibility are optional in 49 out of 50 states or it could simply be a legal safety hatch for any future unpleasantness.

One might hypothesize that Hawaii, knowing that there could be a potential Constitutional problem, demanded legal cover.

One wonders, in such a scenario, if any of the other 49 state Democratic National Committee organizations knew about the different Certifications of Nomination?

I’ve been forwarded the actual naturalization record for William Arthur on microfiche, obtained from the Library of Congress.   He was naturalized in New York State and became a United States citizen in August 1843.

Chester Arthur perpetrated a fraud as to his eligibility to be Vice President by spreading various lies about his parents’ heritage.  President Arthur’s father, William Arthur, became a United States citizen in August 1843.  But Chester Arthur was born in 1829.  Therefore, he was a British Citizen by descent, and a dual citizen at birth, if not his whole life.

He wasn’t a “natural born citizen” and he knew it.
