Chuck Baldwin — Thank You, Denny’s And Dan Cathy
While most big-box chain stores and restaurants love to pander to leftist causes, two national restaurant chains recently dived into the public fray on the side of political incorrectness. Denny’s restaurant made a commercial extolling the right to keep and bear arms as part of America’s greatness, and the Chick-fil-A president made a statement that his company supports “the biblical definition of the family unit.” Predictably, the left has gone ballistic–especially in their paranoid reaction to Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy’s comment.
Prison Planet.com » Is Wal-Mart Destroying America? 20 Facts About Wal-Mart That Will Absolutely Shock You
America absolutely loves Wal-Mart. 100 million customers visit Wal-Mart every single week in this country. But is Wal-Mart good for America? That is a question that most people never stop and ask. Most of us love shopping in big, clean stores that are packed with super cheap merchandise, but the truth is that Wal-Mart is destroying America in a lot of ways. As you will see below, Wal-Mart has destroyed tens of thousands of small businesses and countless manufacturing jobs over the past couple of decades.
Wal-Mart has become a gigantic retail behemoth that sells five times more stuff than any other retailer in the United States. Unfortunately, about 85 percent of all the stuff sold at Wal-Mart is made overseas. What that is costing the U.S. economy in terms of lost jobs and lost revenue is incalculable. But Wal-Mart is a perfect example of where our economic system is headed. Our economy is becoming completely and totally dominated by highly centralized monolithic predator corporations that ruthlessly crush all competition and that will stoop to just about anything in order to cut costs.

This is the success the ale and Alltech’s Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. has enjoyed in the past 12 months:
Fed Up: How To Beat an Incumbent President by Bill Sardi
October surprises
So how do you unseat a reigning President who by the way can pull off an October surprise, like a war with Iran, or a terrorist attack, to create public insecurity that gets incumbents re-elected?
Don’t forget, this President got rescued from a horrible public approval rating by pulling a rabbit out of his hat – an undeserved Nobel Peace Prize. And when the President and the Federal Reserve Bank chairman, Ben Bernanke, briefed the nation on financial matters in a Thursday press conference in early May of 2011, the markets began to tumble and gold prices soared on speculation the Fed was planning to print more money to dig itself out of the nation’s financial grave. By Monday it was anticipated the stock market would crash. How did the federal government side-step this impending crisis? The White House pulled another rabbit out of its hat with the Sunday evening announcement that 9-11 terrorist Osama din Laden had been shot and killed in Pakistan. So it’s likely the administration has lots of other publicity stunts like this up its sleeves.
It’s the total load of negative stories that sways voters
One way to dethrone a reigning President is to keep pouring out the negative stories that don’t involve the President at all. That way they don’t appear to be propaganda by the opposing party. A continued barrage of negative stories about the federal government can finally push voters to say they “have had enough” and they will opt for the other guy.
Appeal to Wal-Mart moms
Whatever influence is exerted over voters, it had better be directed to single mothers (so called Wal-Mart moms) who are demographically expected to sway the outcome of the election. The problem is this particular segment of voters is more swayed by issues that affect them personally than what is good overall for the country.

Prison Planet.com » 10 Signs That America Is Decomposing Right In Front Of Our Eyes
The decay of society is so much harder to quantify than economic decline is. The government keeps lots of statistics on things like unemployment and inflation, but it really does not keep track of how sick and twisted people are becoming.
Most of us recognize that the character of the American people has changed dramatically over the decades, but unlike the national debt, you can’t easily point to a chart or a graph to show exactly how bad things are getting. In this article, my approach will be to point you to various “signs” of social decay. Signs tell us where we are at now and where we are headed.
Some of the signs that I will use will be statistics while others will simply consist of anecdotal evidence. Yes, anecdotal evidence is not perfect, but when you put enough of it together it starts to paint a pretty clear picture of what is going on out there.

Thomas DiLorenzo: Maryland?s war on consumers | The Examiner | Opinion | Washington Examiner
Government is in the business of catering primarily to well-organized special interests while spreading the costs of government (i.e., taxes) across the entire taxpaying population. Special interests are well-organized politically, whereas the general public is not, which is why the former group always prevails. Few state legislatures, moreover, are more egregious in pandering to special interests than Maryland?s.
Prison Planet.com » Black Friday Violence Worse Than Ever As American Consumers Fight Over Deals Like Crazed Animals
We all knew that this was coming, didn’t we? Each year Black Friday violence just seems to get worse and worse. What does it say about American consumers when they are willing to fight like crazed animals just to save a few bucks on cheap plastic crap made in China? Not that retailers are innocent in any of this. It certainly seems as though many of them purposely create wild situations on Black Friday where customers will rush like crazy people into their stores and nearly riot as they fight over discounted merchandise. The more Black Friday madness there is, the more of an “event” it becomes, and the higher the profits of the retailers go. This year there was more Black Friday hype than ever and there was also more Black Friday violence than ever. It is being projected that this year a record-setting 152 million Americans will go shopping between Thanksgiving and Sunday night.

“All-American Muslim,” a new program on The Learning Channel that is being touted as a “powerful series” that carries viewers “inside the rarely seen world of American Muslims,” is being dropped by advertisers.
Critics say the program is nothing more than video jihad propaganda, and the Florida Family Association says it is contacting companies whose advertising appears on the show to ask them to quit. So far, 18 of 20 companies contacted have done so, the group said.

High Bank Fees Give Wal-Mart a Money Aisle

DICKSON CITY, Pa. — Americans say they are fed up with banks. They are protesting on Wall Street and raising a ruckus over outsize fees. Now there is a surprising beneficiary: Wal-Mart.
Geoffrey Cardone, a 26-year-old factory worker, said he dumped his bank account because he felt that he was being nickeled and dimed by fees. His new payday ritual includes a trip to the Wal-Mart here in northeastern Pennsylvania.
“It’s cheaper,” said Mr. Cardone, who was charged a flat fee of $3 to cash his paycheck. Many check-cashing stores keep a percentage of the check, which tends to be higher.
The Wal-Mart here has a clerk in a brightly painted Money Center near the entrance, like more than 1,000 other Wal-Marts across the country. Customers can cash work and government checks, pay bills, wire money overseas or load money on to a prepaid debit card.
At most Wal-Marts without dedicated Money Centers, the financial services are available at the customer service desks or kiosks.
Four years ago, Wal-Mart abandoned its plans to obtain a long-sought federal bank charter amid opposition from the banking industry and lawmakers, who feared the huge retailer would drive small bankers out of business and potentially conflate its banking and retail operations. Ever since, Wal-Mart has been quietly building up à la carte financial services, becoming a force among the unbanked and “unhappily banked,” as one Wal-Mart executive put it.
Even before the recent outcry against banks, the services had become popular with cash-poor customers, many of whom never had a bank account and found the services more affordable than traditional check-cashing operations. Now newcomers to the ranks of the banking disaffected are helping to swell the numbers, Wal-Mart officials said.

…First objection, how the hell are Walmart and Target public institutions? Last I looked, they are private companies providing products in mutual exchange.
Second, in our private lives, we all discriminate against people. It may be against ugly people, dumb people, people we don’t know very long, people that have bad breath, obnoxious people, rude people, interventionists, Keynesians etc.
In a world of non-discrimination, you would just show up at a restaurant and be seated with the person that came in just before you. Hey, everybody is equal, right?

Costco Wholesale Corp. is raising its membership fees 10 percent as the wholesale club operator tries to keep its prices on products low to keep drawing value-focused shoppers.
All retailers are struggling to balance soaring costs against shoppers’ continuing demand for low prices.
Costco has hesitated to raise its prices, for fear of losing its appeal with consumers who are willing to pay a membership fee to get a good a deal on everything from milk to televisions. But that made it less profitable in its fiscal fourth quarter than analysts anticipated.
“That is the tightrope this company walks: keeping prices low and managing margins as well as possible to justify membership fee,” said Matt Arnold, consumer staples analyst for Edward Jones.

The End of the Phony Express, or: The USPS Goes Postal On Our Economy by Bill Walker:
The USPS employs a larger horde than Genghis Khan: 656,000 union members driving 260,000 vehicles. It is the second-largest employer in the United States after Wal-Mart.
It has a government-granted monopoly on first class mail. In 2007 an FTC report noted that the service does not pay taxes, including property tax on its 38,000 facilities; does not pay vehicle registration fees, and can borrow at subsidized interest rates from the U.S. Treasury.
And they do borrow… which is how they get away with claiming that they are “not subsidized”. They don’t get subsidies (except in some years, when they do), they just get loans… and more loans… and more loans.
Maybe they should join up with Bank of America or Goldman Sachs and add subprime mortgages to their services at the stamp window………………

Big Sis Tags Coffee Cups With Big Brother Eye
Homeland Security’s See Something, Say Something snitch campaign is now so pervasive that Big Sis has extended the message to coffee cups, recruiting jittery coffee drinkers to spot terrorists as part of a deal with the Maryland Transit Administration, which used DHS funds to purchase the ads.
Big Sis Tags Coffee Cups With Big Brother Eye Coffee Sleeve Homeland Security 300×300
The message appears on the sleeve of coffee cups and reads, “If you see something, say something…Report unattended bags and unusual behavior to police or transit personnel.”
The image features a Big Brother eye motif above the lettering.
According to a spokesman, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security provided the funds to pay for the ad and the Maryland Transit Administration duly complied. The DHS has partnered with numerous public and private entities, including Wal-Mart and the NFL, to promote its See Something, Say Something campaign, the PSA’s for which feature predominantly white middle class Americans characterized as terrorists engaging in “suspicious behavior” such as talking to police officers or using video cameras.
“Part of the Department of Homeland Security’s guidelines for suspicious behavior include individuals “acting furtively and suspiciously” and “avoiding eye contact.” The side effects of heavy caffeine use include irritability, anxiety, tremulousness and muscle twitching,” reports the Daily Caller.
The fact that the call to Americans to report on each other is being taken to the lengths of plastering the message all over coffee cups is chilling and a shocking reflection of how Sovietized the country is becoming as a result of the myth that terrorists are everywhere when in reality peanut allergies, accident-causing deer and swimming pools pose a greater threat.

In addition, history shows us that recruiting the population to spy on each other in the name of security only ever creates an oppressive and fearful society, and doesn’t even provide greater security.
One common misconception about Nazi Germany was that the police state was solely a creation of the authorities and that the citizens were merely victims. On the contrary, Gestapo files show that 80% of all Gestapo investigations were started in response to information provided by denunciations by “ordinary” Germans.
“There were relatively few secret police, and most were just processing the information coming in. I had found a shocking fact. It wasn’t the secret police who were doing this wide-scale surveillance and hiding on every street corner. It was the ordinary German people who were informing on their neighbors,” wrote Robert Gellately of Florida State University.
Gellately discovered that the people who informed on their neighbors were motivated primarily by banal factors – “greed, jealousy, and petty differences,” and not by a genuine concern about crime or insecurity. This is precisely the kind of environment the ‘See Something, Say Something’ law, and the campaign itself, is designed to create.
In a bid to convince Americans to follow orders and report “suspicious behavior,” which the DHS has defined as a variety of mundane actions and even political affiliations, security corporations are lobbying for the passage of the See Something, Say Something Act (H.R. 963), which would encourage Americans to frivolously snitch on each other by providing legal protection for people who report “suspicious behavior” to the authorities.

Roberts’ Court Deep In Tank For Privileged (Gigantic Hurl Alert!!!)
The U.S. Supreme Court now sees its central task as comforting the already comfortable and afflicting those already afflicted.
If you are a large corporation or a political candidate backed by lots of private money, be assured that the court’s conservative majority will be there for you, solicitous of your needs and ready to swat away those pesky little people who dare to contest your power.
This court has created rules that will have the effect of declaring some corporations too big to be challenged through class actions, as AT&T consumers and female employees at Wal-Mart discovered.
And remember how sympathetic conservatives are supposed to be to the states as “laboratories of democracy,” pioneering solutions to hard problems? Tell that to the people of Arizona.
They used a referendum to establish a highly practical system of financing political campaigns designed to reduce corruption and give a fighting chance to candidates who decide to forgo contributions from special interests.
The people acted, noted Justice Elena Kagan in a brilliantly scalding dissent, after a scandal in which “nearly 10% of the state’s legislators were caught accepting campaign contributions or bribes in exchange for supporting a piece of legislation.”
Corporate Power
Under Arizona’s “clean elections” initiative, candidates who raised a modest amount in very small contributions could receive a lump sum of public money. They could raise no further private funds.

“Wal-Mart’s core shoppers are running out of money much faster than a year ago due to rising gasoline prices, and the retail giant is worried. “We’re seeing core consumers under a lot of pressure,” Duke said at an event in New York. “There’s no doubt that rising fuel prices are having an impact.”
The Final Days of the Glenn Beck Phenomenon?
The mainstream media has been reporting with glee that Glenn Beck may be leaving his Fox News show for a web-only show or his own cable station. Beck’s detractors are hoping he is imploding and this is the end of his superstardom in politics. There have been signs of friction between Beck and Fox News, and the network will not confirm whether his contract will be renewed in December.
The left is terrified of Beck. He has become one of the biggest leaders in the conservative movement. His enemies have responded by trying to force him out of his Fox News show. The far left group Color of Change organized a boycott of the show in 2009 after Beck called Obama a racist. The group claims that 300 advertisers have left, including Wal-Mart, Geico and Sprint. Liberal rabbis took out a full page ad in the Washington Post earlier this year asking Fox News to sanction Beck over critical statements he had made about them. Some Christian conservatives have kept quiet instead of defending him because of his Mormon faith. His theological differences with mainstream Christians occasionally surface on his television show.
The Newest Obesity Epidemic
America’s first lady is hell bent on fighting the obesity epidemic. For now it is focused on the nation’s children. She has interfered in school lunch and snack programs, and has even gotten one of the largest companies in the world, Wal-Mart, to comply with her plea to sell foods with less sugar and salt.
In a Daily Caller op-ed, Orit Sklar, spokeswoman for My food. My Choice! w
rote, “Now, one of the largest companies in the world is the vehicle through which all American food and health policy will flow. As Wal-Mart begins to institute the five-year plan, aimed at reducing products that do not meet the first lady’s
‘Let’s Move’ campaign’s ‘healthy’ standards, the rest of the food industry will be forced to follow. Wal-Mart’s standards — read: the first lady’s standards — will now be the law of the land.
Skip over that pesky Congress and the FDA and go for a new model: coerced corporate control.”
But with all the first lady’s concern over obese children she is forgetting one often overweight market.CBS News did a story on America’s “Portly Pet Problem.” Yes, following in the footsteps of their masters, more than half of America’s pets are overweight or obese. Apparently they eat too much and exercise too little, resulting in Toby the cat contracting diabetes and arthritis. What does that mean for America’s pet owners?
According the CBS article, it means about a $2,000 bill to nurse your cat or dog back to health. One can only wonder how long it will take before the government gets involved in Fido the dog’s diet………………………..

Forget a Recession, The Empire is Crumbling
I look around me and I see an Empire in Decline. The US economy is clearly in a depression… not a recession, not a recovery, but a DEPRESSION of a moral, social, and financial nature.
More than 40 million Americans 12% are on Food stamps. Nearly one in five of us are unemployed of underemployed. Folks go to Wal-Mart at 11PM waiting for their government checks to clear at midnight so they can buy baby formula, milk and other necessities.
Three out of every five Americans are overweight. One in five are obese. Indeed, there are only two areas one state, Colorado, and Washington DC where obesity rates are under 20%.Nearly three in four of us don’t get enough sleep. Almost one third of us report having trouble falling asleep EVERY night. And almost half of us report that day-time sleepiness interferes with normal activities including work.Having A Supply Of Healthy Foods That Last Just Makes Sense AD Forget a Recession,
The Empire is Crumbling 140910banner5Half of marriages end in divorce. One out of ten married couples report sleeping alone. The average American watches 28 hours of TV a week enough to qualify for a part-time job. Two thirds of us eat dinner while watching TV, preferring the fake, sensationalized lives of others to engaging with our own families. The TV and media are filled with foul, ungodly images of sex, violence, and hate.
The most watched shows of the last decade all feature ordinary folks becoming superstars in lottery-esque competitions American Idol, Survivor, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, etc OR crime sagas detailing the most sordid and disgusting elements of society CSI, Law and Order, etc OR amoral social dramas in which notions of personal responsibility, fidelity, and common decency are unknown Desperate Housewives, the Bachelorette, etc.
Today, brain dead, vapid human beings who have contributed nothing to society are idolized and followed as though they invented the wheel. We’ve actually got two industries devoted to presenting the illusion and reality of celebrity: Hollywood shows the photo-shopped, CGI-enhanced, scripted version, while the paparazzi and weekly glossies reveal the drug-addicted, affair-crazed, family breaking, soul-less emptiness.
