The United States Marine Band‘s 215th anniversary concert scheduled for Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has been canceled due to sequestration. This event will not be rescheduled.

Yet they choose time and time again the same seasoned politicians who have made a life-long career in Washington, greasing the wheels of commerce, national defense, justice, and legislation. Once elected, politicians become elitist residents of the insulated bubble of the District of Columbia.

 

 

 

My “DixieStyle” Rip Van Winkle Dream… “All of a sudden, I found myself economically secure under a limited central government Confederation designed to protect my freedom, wealth and property rather than take it. A couple of weeks ago, I dreamed that I awoke in the year 2030 and discovered that the Confederate States of America had been independent from the Washington empire since 2020. Apparently a little known Southern political movement started in the summer of 1999 had taken the Southern electorate by storm and within 20 years the 16 Southern states of the old Confederacy had voted in state conventions to lawfully secede from a morally, politically, and economically bankrupt Washington empire.

How would you like to wake up one morning and realize that the many financial burdens of Washington had suddenly been lifted from you and your family – forever! The Senate did something this past weekend it hasn’t done in four years: passed a budget. The law requires the Senate to pass a budget, but Congress often ignores its own laws. For most of Barack Obama’s presidency, a series of continuing resolutions kept the money — your money — flowing.

Now the Senate wants to add a trillion dollars of new taxes, even more than President Obama seeks. Despite our growing debt, the Senate wants to fund things like the Senate barbershop, which loses a third of a million dollars every year.

It used to be that foreign threats were advertised as the main reason to send our young men off to war to defend our country. Amazing though it seems, we used to believe those stories. Many of our fathers and grandfathers died defending that principle.

 

Now, all that has changed. The threat is no longer some faraway enemy. The main enemy to peace in the world and security at home has become our own government.

 

Actions speak louder than words. The words our government speaks do not match the actions it takes.

 

It purchases uncountable rounds of hollow point ammunition and fancy new tanks for local police departments at the same time it clamors about the need to take all guns away from the American people.

Three years ago, I attended an immigration-overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by top leaders concerned about the immigration invasion. Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm, Tom Tancredo, Dr. John Tanton, Dan Stein, Terry Anderson, Bonnie Eggle, Peter Gadiel, Victor Davis Hansen and other speakers walked to the podium.

America still bled from the wounds of 9/11. However, new hemorrhaging in-bled into the United States with Time Magazine report, “Who Left the Door Open?” showing three million illegal aliens crashing our borders annually. “The numbers of illegal aliens flooding into the U.S. annually totals three million—enough to fill 22,000 Boeing 737-700 airliners or 60 flights every day of the year.”

 

In the last two weeks, Mexico’s invasion of America exhibited new dimensions with millions of illegals openly defying U.S. laws by parading in our streets. Even the façade of Homeland Security illustrates Chertoff and Bush with their pants down around their ankles. In one widely distributed Internet picture, you can see Bush waving a Mexican flag while he walks with a Mexican girl toward school. Any American can see the invasion advances with the Mexican flag raging across the American landscape.

 

As I said, during the conference, speaker after speaker astounded the audience with facts on how fast the present administration and Congress continue dismantling the American Dream for average citizens. Former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a speech on ‘How to Destroy America’. The audience sat spellbound by the eight methods for destruction of the United States.

I had been predicting a slowdown after the big bump in December incomes due to the hike in taxes. It has taken a while for us to get a handle on income this year given all the changes in tax rates. In an interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts aired this morning, First Lady Michelle Obama recalled the tragic death of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton who was shot and killed in Chicago after performing during the President’s Inauguration celebration in Washington D.C.

But I think it’s going to eventually make the country safer and certainly safer for my officers that have to respond to these calls. “

Executive Orders are numbered consecutively, no matter who occupies the White House for reasons of continuity, record keeping, and to prevent confusion. The Executive Order is only 1 of several fatal flaws contained within the document.

The plan so far has thrown the entire research community off the trail for several years and has resulted in the wasted expenditure of money looking for information which does not exist. It resulted in a total waste of a grant by the Fund for UFO Research of $16,000 which was given to Stanton Friedman to research the information. Many thousands of man hours have gone into looking for a “Red Herring”. If you doubt the secret government’s ability to run you through the rose garden you had better think again.

If you dismiss this by saying, “Of course they have armed guards — they get Secret Service protection,” then you’ve missed the larger point.

 

The larger point is that this is standard operating procedure for the school, period. And this is the reason people like NBC’s David Gregory send their kids to Sidwell, they know their kids will be protected from the carnage that befell kids at a school where armed guards weren’t used (and weren’t even allowed).

 

 

 

Shame on President Obama for seeking more gun control and for trying to prevent the parents of other school children from doing what he has clearly done for his own. His children sit under the protection guns afford, while the children of regular Americans are sacrificed.

This marked the beginning of a long, sordid career in service to the USA that reached its peak when he almost single handedly covered up the role of the CIA in starting what went on to become the global pandemic known as the Crack Cocaine holocaust (see Gary Webb’s “Dark Alliance” or “White Out” by Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair).

Figures. Obama’s Life Story at Senator Inouye’s Funeral Doesn’t Jibe With History

It’s already been discussed that Barack Obama’s eulogy at Senator Inouy’s memorial in Washington DC was a tribute to himself and not the late Hawaiian senator. Obama spoke for 10 minutes about himself and his life story, barely mentioning the life of Senator Inouye.

But it’s worse than that. Barack Obama distorted his life story in order to include Senator Inouye in his talk. Jack Cashill at American Thinker reported:

…..When Ron Paul says he wants to cut military spending on foreign wars, that is all that is generally heard. The whole story, that he does not want to cut DEFENSE spending, the funds which defend the country, does not get told. The difference between defense spending and spending on nation building and policing the world is a distinction Ron Paul sees very clearly. Why is this not seen by much of the country? Is it because this cannot be explained in a 60-second debate answer or 15-second soundbite?

Apparently, according to Time Magazine, Ron Paul’s message actually is getting through to lots of people:

Ron Paul was the highest rated 2012 presidential candidate in this poll, and in fact had tens of thousands more votes than Mitt Romney. Time Magazine took their poll and used that data to create their own list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2012. That list is now available. The 12-term Congressman from Texas has made the list.

Not just Infowars.com, but many a political researcher and pundit took notice that Ron Paul’s farewell address to Congress was a historic and very important speech spelling out that our country is becoming a corrupt empire and that we’re becoming a tyranny of tyrannies.

 

The New York Times, LA Times, Fox News and many others all heeded his farewell address, something that doesn’t normally happen with a Congressman, as he eloquently laid out the fork in the road America has come to: liberty or tyranny.

Farewell to Congress

This may well be the last time I speak on the House Floor. At the end of the year I’ll leave Congress after 23 years in office over a 36 year period. My goals in 1976 were the same as they are today: promote peace and prosperity by a strict adherence to the principles of individual liberty.

It was my opinion, that the course the U.S. embarked on in the latter part of the 20^th Century would bring us a major financial crisis and engulf us in a foreign policy that would overextend us and undermine our national security.

To achieve the goals I sought, government would have had to shrink in size and scope, reduce spending, change the monetary system, and reject the unsustainable costs of policing the world and expanding the American Empire.

The problems seemed to be overwhelming and impossible to solve, yet from my view point, just following the constraints placed on the federal government by the Constitution would have been a good place to start.

 

How Much Did I Accomplish?

In many ways, according to conventional wisdom, my off-and-on career in Congress, from 1976 to 2012, accomplished very little. No named legislation, no named federal buildings or highways—thank goodness. In spite of my efforts, the government has grown exponentially, taxes remain excessive, and the prolific increase of incomprehensible regulations continues. Wars are constant and pursued without Congressional declaration, deficits rise to the sky, poverty is rampant and dependency on the federal government is now worse than any time in our history.
