The latest Wikileaksdata-dump reveals that the government now has the ability to grab video from far-flung surveillance cameras located in stores, casinos and other businesses around the
country. It uses sophisticated facial recognition software to identify people of interest captured by the ubiquitous cameras numbering in the millions.

The power elites don’t like dirty linen being aired, warns Thomas Andrews Drake
If America gets its hands on the WikiLeaks founder, they may go as far as execute him, a known National Security Agency whistleblower Thomas Andrews Drake told RT, adding that in the US, security has become a state religion.
An expert on electronic eavesdropping, Drake sacrificed his career to blow the whistle on perceived wrongdoings within the NSA. He was charged under the Espionage Act, though the charges were dropped only last year.
He told RT that in America’s ‘soft tyranny’, everyone is subject or suspect in terms of surveillance.

Ten years later, the idea of preemptively identifying a criminal — particularly an inside threat — is taking shape within the U.S. Defense Department, reports Joe Gould at Army Times.
Whether it’s a low-ranking soldier intent on dumping secret information to WikiLeaks, or a rogue Sergeant going on a shooting rampage, insider threats can seriously plague the military and the government as a whole.

Wikileaks reveals Democrat 2008 election crimes
…..Wikileaks last week began disclosing the emails obtained by WikiLeaks and hacktivist group Anonymous that expose the dirty dealings and election tampering done by Democratic Party operatives and the Obama campaign.Stratfor, under the leadership of founder and Chief Executive George Friedman, counts Fortune 500 corporations and federal government agencies and the military among its subscribers.
In a statement, Stratfor said it had built “good sources” in many countries, “as any publisher of global geopolitical analysis would do.”In a published report, a second Wikileaks email indicated that 2008 Republican presidential candidate John McCain decided not to pursue legal action against the Democrats for engaging in voter fraud, believing that to do so would have thrown the country into civil unrest, and thus let the matter drop.
Emails between Stratfor staffers indicate that McCain’s actions were viewed as baffling, to say the least. In other related news, the man believed to have provided much information to Wikileaks, Bradley Manning, was suggested to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.DHS’ Big Sis tracking keywords on Twitter, FacebookIf you thought this was 2012, guess again.

The disclosure was contained in e-mails from the private US security firm, Stratfor, which were published by WikiLeaks website on Monday after being obtained by the Anonymous hacking group.
Stratfor provides analysis of world affairs to major corporations, military officials and government agencies and was once likened by an American business magazine to a “shadow CIA”.
According to one of the e-mails, the firm was shown the information papers collected from bin Laden’s Abbotabad compound after the US special forces attack last May that resulted in his death.
“the state will be able to create a far friendlier environment for controlling the flow of information, Bill Clinton’s proposed ‘Internet Ministry of Truth’” ~The Secret Behind SOPA
Whether the justification is cybersecurity or anti-piracy, the end game remains the ability to seize control over the Internet and shut down websites on a whim.
Indeed, the is merely the act of legally codifying what is already taking place. Lieberman himself was instrumental in having the whistleblower website Wikileaks shut down when Amazon axed Wikileaks from its servers after being pressured to do so by Lieberman’s Senate Homeland Security Committee.
In addition, the Department of Homeland Security has already seized dozens of websites merely for linking to copyrighted material, despite the fact that such material isn’t even hosted on the website itself, a process the Electronic Frontier Foundation has criticized as, “Blunt instruments that cause unacceptable collateral damage to free speech rights.”
The DHS has also seized websites for no ostensible reason, including a popular music blog that was shut down for over a year on charges the DHS now admits were completely false.
While the likes of Wikipedia and Google have commendably protested against SOPA and PIPA, the big ISPs and domain name companies are firmly behind it. Indeed, the global authority over all .com domain names, VeriSign, recently demanded the power to terminate websites deemed “abusive” when ordered to by government without a court order or any kind of oversight whatsoever.

It’s the end of the Internet as we know itPaul Joseph WatsonPrison Planet.comWednesday, January 18, 2012The secret behind SOPA, the so-called anti-piracy bill which is today the target of an unprecedented backlash with Wikileaks and other major websites ‘going dark’ to protest the legislation, has nothing to do with piracy or copyright theft – it’s about the formal effort to mimic Communist China’s system of Internet censorship.
But don’t take our word for it, listen to what Joe Lieberman, co-sponsor of PIPA, SOPA’s sister version in the Senate, said about the purpose of behind the US government’s efforts to control the Internet under the guise of cybersecurity.Lieberman characterized fears that the US government would use such powers to censor political content as “total misinformation,” yet goes on to admit that the purpose behind the agenda is to mimic China’s ability to “disconnect parts of its Internet in case of war,” adding, “we need that here too”.
Of course, Communist China’s “war” is not against foreign terrorists or hackers, it’s targeted against people who dare to use the Internet to express dissent against government atrocities or corruption. China’s system of Internet policing is about crushing freedom of speech and has nothing to do with legitimate security concerns as Lieberman well knows.Having largely failed in his bid to…..

LISBON, Portugal — When the Republican presidential candidates tire of bashing each other, perhaps they will start addressing the expansion of radical Islam. Only Rick Santorum raised the issue in last Saturday’s debate in New Hampshire.
Next door in Spain, two new satellite TV stations recently signed on. They won’t be airing “Judge Judy,” but instead are broadcasting Islamic theology and political propaganda.
It was not coincidental that the launch of Islamic TV in Spain coincided with Christmas. One of the early broadcasts featured a story, from Islam’s perspective, on the Virgin Mary and the birth of Jesus. Not surprisingly, it differs significantly from the biblical account with which even secular Americans are familiar.
One channel is called Hispan TV and its program content is produced in Iran. That should be warning enough. One of their shows is called “Debate Abierto,” or “Open Debate.”
The Iranian government sponsors the program, which, according to Soeren Kern, a senior fellow at the Strategic Studies Group in Madrid, “will focus on spreading Shiite Islam” in Spain and Latin America.

Video of the event, officially posted by Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty organization, also shows the Republican presidential candidate, now rising or perhaps leading in the polls in Iowa, attacking the CIA and its treatment of terrorists.

Kentucky Soldier Faces Spying Allegations
A 22 year old soldier from Owensboro, Kentucky faces charges of spying. Specialist William Colton Millay is stationed in Alaska.
U.S. Army and FBI investigators arrested Millay last Friday. Army Lieutenant Colonel Bill Coppernoll says Millay’s arrest stems from an ongoing investigation conducted by the Army and FBI. Coppernoll says few details are being released now, but adds that unlike the WikiLeaks case targeting Army analyst Bradley Manning, allegations do “not involve the transfer of data on computer networks.”
His family has hired a defense attorney from Dallas who specializes in defending members of the military charged in crimes.
Dick York, who lives across the street from Millay’s family, told The Gleaner in Henderson that the soldier was honest and patriotic and called the charges “a bunch of bull” .
Globalists Using London Cyberspace Summit to Push for Global Internet Treaty
For the next two days, leaders from around the globe will collude with tech giants to discuss how to respond to the challenges and opportunities of the Internet. Translation: they’ll be negotiating a global Internet treaty.
It’s reported that officials from 60 countries will join Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Tudou.com (Chinese video sharing site), as well as cyber crime agencies, and computer security firms at the London Conference on Cyberspace.
The London summit is hosted by Foreign Secretary, William Hague, who said the purpose is to “discuss ideas and expected behaviour in cyberspace”.
To which he claims the goal is bring together major players to determine how “collectively, we should respond to the challenges and opportunities which the development of cyberspace presents.”
A few days before the conference, Council on Foreign Relations members Adam Segal and Matthew Waxman wrote that the conference presents those calling for a global Internet treaty with “a step in that direction.”
They also pointed out that NATO allies have already essentially agreed to a treaty; “June 2011, NATO defense ministers agreed to a collective vision of cyber defense, and the United States and Australia recently announced that their mutual defense treaty extends to cyberspace.”
How the US government secretly reads your email
Secret orders forcing Google and Sonic to release a WikiLeaks volunteer’s email reveal the scale of US government snooping. Somewhere, a US government official is reading through a list of those who sent or received an email from Jacob Appelbaum, a 28-year-old computer science researcher at the University of Washington who volunteered for WikiLeaks. …
Appelbaum is a spokesman for Tor, a free internet anonymising software that helps people defend themselves against internet surveillance. He’s spent five years teaching activists around the world how to install and use the service to avoid being monitored by repressive governments. It’s exactly the sort of technology Secretary of State Hilary Clinton praised in her famous “Internet Freedom” speech in January 2010, when she promised US government support for the designers of technology that circumvented blocks or firewalls. Now, Appelbaum finds himself a target of his own government as a result of his friendship with Julian Assange and the fact WikiLeaks used the Tor software.

U.S. Government Obtains Secret Court Order for Email Data of WikiLeaks Volunteer:
The U.S. government obtained a controversial type of secret court order to force Google Inc. and small internet provider Sonic.net Inc. to turn over information from the email accounts of a WikiLeaks volunteer.
Sonic said it fought the government’s order and lost, and was forced to turn over information. Challenging the order was “rather expensive, but we felt it was the right thing to do,” said Sonic’s chief executive, Dane Jasper.
The government’s request included the email addresses of people volunteer Jacob Appelbaum corresponded with over the past two years, but not the full emails, according to documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
Both Google and Sonic pressed for the right to inform Appelbaum of the secret court orders, according to people familiar with the investigation. Google declined to comment. Appelbaum, 28, has not been charged with wrongdoing.

Traditional Hackers Now Turning Their Crosshairs on Conservatives
Owners of popular conservative websites have increasing reason to be concerned their sites may be hacked or otherwise physically attacked for political reasons. Traditionally, hackers took an anarchist approach that primarily targeted government websites. Lately, they are assailing politically conservative websites. Many of these newer attacks are coming from hackers associated with Wikileaks. Some libertarian conservatives defend Wikileaks’ business of leaking government documents, unaware that its affiliates are hypocritically trying to silence them. In addition to wreaking technical havoc, hackers have figured out they can use Google’s strict policy against deceptive website tactics to keep conservative websites hidden from the internet for long periods of time.
After Google banned my website, Intellectual Conservative, a few weeks ago due to some political enemies who had “cloaked” it, I decided to look into how prevalent the hacking of conservatives websites has become. Politically targeted hacking is known as “hactivism,” and is really a form of cyberterrorism. Not all attacks upon websites are considered hacking, some are less intrusive such as DDoS (distributed denial-of-service attack), where a website is continually pinged until it is forced to shut down.
A new powerful hacking organization surfaced this summer targeting conservatives in addition to………………….

For although the CIA has thought since September that he was in hiding in Abbottabad, special forces stormed his fortress only days after the website published new secret documents.
These made reference to named ‘couriers’ carrying Bin Laden’s message to his followers, and also to Abbottabad as a possible Al Qaeda bolthole.

US Army Apologizes for Horrific Photos From Afghanistan by Matthias Gebauer and Hasnain Kazim
Major Public Backlash
At NATO headquarters, there are fears that the coming days could see angry protests in Afghanistan or even potential attacks against NATO units. “The images have an enormous potential here in Afghanistan,” one NATO general told SPIEGEL ONLINE. “Experience shows that it might take a couple of days, but then people’s anger will be vented.”
NATO, under the leadership of the US Army, has been preparing for possible publication of the photos for close to 100 days. In dozens of high-level talks with their Afghan partners, military leaders have sought to pursue the same strategy used by the US diplomatic corps in the case of the sensitive diplomatic cables released late last year by WikiLeaks. They warned those most directly affected and made preparations for the photos’ appearance in the public sphere. This “strategic communication” was aimed at preventing a major public backlash.
The high ranks of those involved in the talks show just how seriously Washington has taken the problem. US Vice President Joe Biden recently spoke about the case with Afghan President Hamid Karzai. The head of all NATO troops in Afghanistan, General David Petraeus, likewise met with Karzai.
By apologizing and by promising that those responsible will be prosecuted, the US is hoping to prevent Karzai from making any angry public statements on the case.

Our Time of Universal Deceit Needs An Orwell: Information Clearing House: ICH
The words certainly deserve an Orwellian name.
The catch-phrase was rolled out the minute the war started, which makes one wonder about its public relations origin.
Who can oppose supporting the troops, at least before we learned from WikiLeaks and Abu Ghraib of the intentional killing of civilians and torturing of whoever happened to be rounded up in the various sweeps?
All for the fun and games of it.“Support the troops” originated in the public relations department of the military/security complex
What “support the troops” really means is to support the profits of the armaments industry and the neoconservative ideology of US world hegemony.
“Support the troops” is a clever PR slogan that causes Americans to turn a blind eye to the brutal exploitation of our soldiers and military families for profit and for an evil ideology.
Our soldiers and military families are paying for the Bush/Cheney/Obama/neocon wars with lives, limbs, post-traumatic stress, suicides, broken marriages, children without fathers, wives without husbands, and parents without sons and daughters.
“Support the troops” is one of the most cruel hoaxes in human history, and yet the vastmajority of the population has fallen for it.
“War Is Peace.”

Repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell: about Gay rights or politics?
The repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, just foisted on us by the lame duck Democrats and Obama hides the real reason they are determined to make this happen. It’s all about breaking up the military’s traditional Republican voting bloc, and that’s their hidden agenda.
Just think of how un-principled the effort to couch homosexuals sharing next bunk intimacy with heteros becomes when we realize it’s being done to introduce a liberal voting bloc into the traditionally conservative military services which vote their conscience and moral Biblical values.“Allowing homosexuals to openly serve in the military would likely result, for the first time, in heterosexuals being forced to cohabit with those who may view them as a potential sexual object,” says Peter Sprigg, author of an outstanding study of this problem for World Net Daily’s WHISTLEBLOWER MAGAZINE.
He points out the Family Research Council’s study about “military privacy plus the dangers of interjecting sexual tension into a combat zone shows there is already a significant problem of homosexual misconduct.”One Navy veteran who was 17 at the time tells of being molested twice within his first year of service by gay sailors. “I can’t imagine what it will do to our military readiness if they are allowed to serve openly,” he added.
“And what about WikiLeaks source Bradley Manning, now in the brig and facing even more charges for putting our country’s own defense in extreme danger? Manning “endangered lives, national security and international relationships,” says Maj. Gen. Pat Brady…..”Another veteran:.. “Someone should track VA disability claims made by gays who contract AIDS while in service.
This means that money will be spent on them that would otherwise be used to help wounded and others with claims not related to their perverted behavior.”Excerpt Read more at coachisright.com …

McGovern Bloodied and Arrested at Clinton Speech
As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave her speech at George Washington University yesterday condemning governments that arrest protestors and do not allow free expression, 71-year-old Ray McGovern was grabbed from the audience in plain view of her by police and an unidentified official in plain clothes, brutalized and left bleeding in jail.

The Real Tea Party
by Charles Stampul
Recently by Charles Stampul: How Football Explains America
In a move to break American resistance to taxation, British Parliament in 1773 relaxed a tax on exports, allowing a struggling English tea company to send its surplus product to the colonies. The tea would be priced low, but carry a tax payable to Parliament. Sensing a trap, the colonists organized. At Charleston the tea was seized and stored by customs agents. At New York the ship was turned back. At Boston, the seat of American agitation, 340 trunks of tea were thrown into the harbor.
We’re seeing similar protests today. Jury nullification of drug convictions. The launch of Wikileaks to reveal government secrets. And perhaps the closest thing to the Boston Tea Party to date, coordinated resistance to naked body scans and evasive pat downs at airports on November 24, 2010. Standing largely apart from this Tea Party inspired activism, is “the Tea Party movement.”
Young people adopt new and unusual sayings to individuate from parents, schoolteachers and other adults. “Off the hook,” was one such phrase. It was popular several years ago. A year or so later you heard one of the View ladies call something “off the hook.” By this time youths were saying “off the chain.” Responsible, financially secure, community involved, set-in-their-ways adults caught up, forcing young people to drop the phrase altogether. It’s like this for libertarians and the Tea Party………

This is the new America. The public fearing that they will be placed on a government database of subversives if they dare speak out over being zapped with ionizing radiation, photographed naked and aggressively groped by government agents, all in the name of protecting their liberties. The only way such outright abuse of power will be halted is if the majority of Americans say no.

Obama White House pressured Spain to drop Bush torture prosecution, leaked cable shows
The Obama administration went to the mat to defend its predecessors from a torture prosecution in Spain last year, a leaked State Department cable shows. The cable, released by WikiLeaks this week, shows that senior US diplomats teamed with Republican lawmakers — including a former Republican Party chairman — to put pressure on Spanish officials to drop a criminal investigation into the Bush administration’s use of “enhanced interrogation techniques.”
In the spring of 2009, Spanish Judge Balthasar Garzon launched an inquiry into six Bush officials linked to the torture policy.
