America’s Secret ICE Castles

By Jacqueline Stevens

This article appeared in the January 4, 2010 edition of The Nation.

December 16, 2009

“If you don’t have enough evidence to charge someone criminally but you think he’s illegal, we can make him disappear.” Those chilling words were spoken by James Pendergraph, then executive director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Office of State and Local Coordination, at a conference of police and sheriffs in August 2008. Also present was Amnesty International’s Sarnata Reynolds, who wrote about the incident in the 2009 report “Jailed Without Justice” and said in an interview, “It was almost surreal being there, particularly being someone from an organization that has worked on disappearances for decades in other countries. I couldn’t believe he would say it so boldly, as though it weren’t anything wrong.”

ICE agents regularly impersonate civilians–OSHA inspectors, insurance agents, religious workers–in order to arrest longtime US residents who have no criminal history. Jacqueline Stevens has reported a web-exclusive companion piece on ICE agents’ ruse operations.

Pendergraph knew that ICE could disappear people, because he knew that in addition to the publicly listed field offices and detention sites, ICE is also confining people in 186 unlisted and unmarked subfield offices, many in suburban office parks or commercial spaces revealing no information about their ICE tenants–nary a sign, a marked car or even a US flag. (Presumably there is a flag at the Veterans Affairs Complex in Castle Point, New York, but no one would associate it with the Criminal Alien Program ICE is running out of Building 7.) Designed for confining individuals in transit, with no beds or showers, subfield offices are not subject to ICE Detention Standards. The subfield office network was mentioned in an October report by Dora Schriro, then special adviser to Janet Napolitano, secretary of Homeland Security, but no locations were provided.

Debating the Holocaust

Dear Mr. Santomauro,
I just read your intriguing review of Debating the Holocaust: A New Look at Both Sides in one of the many Yahoo! groups I scan for new material. Do you, by chance, have a link to a published version of the review? If we wanted to rerun it, would that be okay?
I have been reading your own revisionist writing for several years now, and must say that I found it outlandish at first. Since exploring revisionists ideas myself — with the help of my friend, Dr. Fredrick Toben — I have become open-minded to your contention that the Holocaust has either been exaggerated or simply contrived (as Allied political and military leaders believed at the end of World War II) from Soviet propaganda.
One thing argues overwhelmingly in support of the revisionist perspective, and that is the ceaseless efforts of self-interested parties to illegalize investigation or debate about the Holocaust story. They label a judicious Jew like David Cole “self-hating” and send him death threats until he recants. They label a gentile gentleman like Dr. Toben “anti-Semitic” and send him to prison! Any group so intent on suppressing free speech must be promoting lies.

In the 6000+ years of man’s history, the “pinnacle moment” is the Abomination of Desolation, the key event that will occur in the midst of the Tribulation (a terrible seven-year period that will mark the end of this age). It will be the time when the Man of Lawlessness (i.e., The Anti-Christ) will break his covenant with Israel (Daniel 9:27) and establish himself as Almighty God (Daniel 11:36-37, 2 Thess. 2:2-4, Rev. 13:14-15). He will demand total, absolute allegiance and worship (Rev. 13:16-18).

This master politician of Europe’s Socialistic European Community (Daniel 9:26) will rise to power, but it isn’t until the key event of the Confirming of the Covenant with Israel that He will be revealed as the Man of Sin, Lucifer’s Anti-Christ (2 Thess. 2:7-8). At this time the Anti-Christ will establish himself as a capable leader and will emerge as the key player on the world stage. Due to the myriad of conflicts, crises and confusion, He will quickly militarize and rebuild Europe’s military strength (Daniel 11:38). It is during the first half of this seven-year period that he will win over the world’s affections. He will be the darling of the global media; he will be praised as the peace-maker/ fighter and protector of “human” rights (Rev. 6:2).

Hitler wanted to create a thousand year Third Reich of Nazi world domination. Fortunately, Hitler’s evil dream was crushed by the United States and our alies. Imagine what a large part of the world would be like if Hitler had succeeded. Hitler had his version of the madrassas when he took the German school system and turned them into radical, hate-filled places of totalitarian indoctrination. There would have been centuries of generations of people indoctrinated in the hate cult of Nazism had Hitler won the war. The Nazi empire would always be a threat to the world as it would…

Four days after Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab allegedly failed to blow up a Northwest Airlines jet from Amsterdam to Detroit, government officials, security experts and members of the public are still trying to figure out what went wrong and how air travel security can be improved. After the botched attack, at least one member of Congress, Peter King, R-N.Y., has suggested that profiling by religion or race could improve security. In an interview on Fox News, King said, “The fact is, while the overwhelming majority of Muslims are outstanding people, on the other hand, 100 percent of the Islamic terrorists are…

Two Guantanamo terrorists released in November were behind the Christmas Day attack in Detroit. Our security agencies ignored their own security measures and their own intelligence — including warnings from the terrorist’s father that his son was involved with terrorists. The chief of our Department of Homeland Security is preoccupied with covering her ass, and conferring citizenship rights on enemy combatants. Instead of throwing the enemy in the darkest possible dungeon and extracting information on the next terrorist attack, both she and her president are referring to him as an “alleged” bomber and helping him to lawyer up because after…

On Terrorism it’s Time to Know, to Profile, and to Discriminate

Posted 12/30/2009 ET

After the Christmas Day near disaster in Detroit, it is time for Americans to demand effective anti-terrorist actions.

Over eight years after 9/11 and 30 years after the Iranian illegal seizure of the United States embassy and the 444 day Iranian hostage crisis, Washington is still avoiding being intellectually honest about the war we are in.

Our Politically Correct Government is Making Life More Miserable For the Innocent

America is long overdue for a serious global strategy that includes targeting threats such as the terrorist killer at Fort Hood, the individuals recently arrested in Detroit, Denver and New York, and the five Americans detained in Pakistan.

The scale, persistence and sophistication of the enemy requires an honesty, a clarity, and a scale appropriate to the response.

Once again, instead of targeting the source of the threats, our politically correct government decides to make life more miserable for the travelling public by imposing hopelessly meaningless rules such as not allowing passengers to leave their seats in the last hour of the flight.  Bound by cultural sensitivities, the default reaction of the bureaucracy is to review the procedures and wring its hands ineffectively.

Today, because our elites fear politically incorrect honesty, they believe that it is better to harass the innocent, delay the harmless, and risk the lives of every American than to do the obvious, the effective, and the necessary.

It’s Time to Be Honest About What We Know

Obama Curbs Secrecy of Classified Documents

Obama Curbs Secrecy of Classified Documents
NY Times ^ | December 29, 2009 | CHARLIE SAVAGE

Posted on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 2:49:34 PM by lowbridge

President Obama declared on Tuesday that “no information may remain classified indefinitely” as part of a sweeping overhaul of the executive branch’s system for protecting classified national security information.

In an executive order and an accompanying presidential memorandum to agency heads, Mr. Obama signaled that the government should try harder to make information public if possible, including by requiring agencies to regularly review what kinds of information they classify and to eliminate any obsolete secrecy requirements.

“Agency heads shall complete on a periodic basis a comprehensive review of the agency’s classification guidance, particularly classification guides, to ensure the guidance reflects current circumstances and to identify classified information that no longer requires protection and can be declassified,” Mr. Obama wrote in the order, released while he was vacationing in Hawaii.

He also established a new National Declassification Center at the National Archives to speed the process of declassifying historical documents by centralizing their review, rather than sending them in sequence to different agencies. He set a four-year deadline for processing a 400-million-page backlog of such records that includes archives related to military operations during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Moreover, Mr. Obama eliminated a rule put in place by former President George W. Bush in 2003 that allowed the leader of the intelligence community to veto decisions by an interagency panel to declassify information. Instead, spy agencies who object to such a decision will have to appeal to the president.

Could Obama Use INTERPOL to Evade Constitutional Law?

Much has been written recently since ThreatsWatch first broke the story of President Obama’s stealth Executive Order (EO) rendering an international police force immune from the restrictions of the Constitution and American law. Reports are focusing on the ramifications of the EO to U.S. sovereignty and the potential surrender of Americans to war crime tribunals in the International Criminal Court (ICC). But is the President using the 2(c) provision to sidestep Constitutional law and place the U.S. under the jurisdiction of the ICC without ratification of the UN Treaty by 2/3 of the Senate? Or is he granting unrecognized authority to INTERPOL, the International Criminal Police Organization, providing them unrestrained power over the American people? And could he use these privileges to step above and beyond the Constitution, or as a means for political cronies to profit?

TEXAS, 12/30/2009 — It’s becoming more and more difficult to keep a straight face at any mention of the U.S. free press. The mainstream media, often called the corporate media by semi-truthful left wing publications, is nothing more or less than propaganda. It is overwhelmingly owned and run by Jews to turn the American dream of uninterrupted security into the Arab nightmare of endless war.
There was a time, when I was writing NBC-TV editorials, when I might have viewed it differently, but since 9/11 the ugly truth has been apparent to anyone with a brains enough to think and guts enough to write it down. Anyone unwilling to receive this crucial insight from this Christian critic can read it in plain English from an LA Times Jewish journalist, Joel Stein, who last year published the formidably frank column, How Jewish Is Hollywood? In its conclusion, he states:
“I don’t care if Americans think we’re running the news media, Hollywood, Wall Street or the government. I just care that we get to keep running them.” — How Jewish Is Hollywood?, LA Times, 12/19/2008,,0,4676183.column
The ongoing MSM blackout of the UK’s Chilcott Inquiry about the Bush/Blair war crimes leading us to Iraq is a month long travesty that teaches us the same lesson. The fact that Jewish neocons played just as large a role in creating the chaos is absolutely forbidden knowledge here in the Land of the Free, but it was openly discussed in Israel:
“The war in Iraq was conceived by 25 neoconservative intellectuals, most of them Jewish, pushing President Bush to change the course of history.” — White man’s burden, Ha’aretz, 4/5/2003,
It should come as no surprise, then, that we are once again kept in the dark by the MSM, and the wool has been pulled down over our eyes for good measure:

We are at war with Islamic extremists

It is time to profile Muslim passengers

By Dr. Laurie Roth  Tuesday, December 29, 2009

We are at war with Islamic extremists. They are peppered all over the world and throughout our country. These terrorists have proven to be represented by various nationalities, the latest was Nigerian and the attack was on Christmas day.  The common theme between them all isn’t that they were victimized by America or that they were all desperately poor, but that they were all committed to fundamentalist Islam, believing they were doing the will of Allah and would gain eternal blessings as martyrs.

If you look at who most of the Jihad killers have been since 9/11,  they have been well funded, pampered and even wealthy.  They are religiously committed to killing infidels.  They don’t believe they are getting away with wrong and criminal behavior but rather,  they are doing the Holy will of Allah and will be greatly rewarded.

As a Christmas present to naive and ever so polite America,  Abdul Farouk Abdul-Mutallab, a 23 year-old Nigerian national, whose Father was a former Nigerian official, tried to blow up flight 253 headed toward Detroit Metropolitan Airport from Amsterdam originally.

“I like to watch.” – Chance the Gardener [Chauncey Gardiner]

What if we have a President who is not really what the “Mainstream Media” bought into and sold to the American Public.

What if, as a candidate, this President was so carefully managed that millions of voters were hoodwinked about the true agenda of him and his radical handlers.?  What if, as a candidate, this President’s mastery of the issues was really, truly limited to an ability to read a teleprompter or memorization. What if, as a candidate, this President’s every utterance, no matter how resoundingly vacant, was portrayed as brilliance where there was none? What if millions of voters were totally hoodwinked by a negligent or complicit media to convince a sadly informed majority of voters to elect an absolute ideologue with no mastery of issues, leader skills, or administrative abilities? What if you think these are silly questions now because they were prescient questions that no one would probe in 2008? What if…?

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan had announced his sympathy for jihadi terrorism. Yet so crippled by political correctness is today’s America that no one blew the whistle. Instead, he was sent to Fort Hood, where he opened fire on Nov. 5, killing 13 and wounding 31. Almost two months later, the current administration still can’t bring itself to identify Hasan as an Islamic terrorist. They can’t even decide to allow soldiers to carry self-defense arms on U.S. military bases. Next — even as the uniformed goons known as the Thousands Standing Around were pointlessly strip-searching little old ladies in every airport…

This had better scare us to our knees!!

From Naval Aviator, Commander Jerry Wilson

We lived in California during the winters of 2007 and 2008. We became addicted to Fox News and watched OReilly and Hannity and Colmes every night. When we got back home, we upgraded our cable to get Fox. I watched the Presidential campaign very closely. Initially because I thought the Democrats would nominate Hillary Clinton and then in astonishment when they chose an even more hard-left candidate. All of last year I told everyone I could that Obama was not a
Democrat, he was a Marxist. He is far to the left of any European leader and even our far left party, the NDP.

I read Saul Alinsky when I was in University. I studied him and his writing carefully. When Bill Ayers and his idiot wife were bombing and killing people at random in the Weather Underground. Weather Underground and the Black Panthers were closely allied. I read David Horowitzs account of changing from a Marxist to a conservative after seeing that the government was afraid to prosecute members of the Panthers for murdering his personal assistant. He suddenly understood the evil that Marxism really was.

After the student radicals failed in creating a Marxist revolution in the United States by violent means, they embraced Alinsky. You would be wise to read Rules for Radicals because it outlines how Hillary and Obama planned to get into power, and what they intended to do when they got it.

Socialism is not the correct descriptor for what Obama and the Democrats are doing. They are going to be much more far reaching than anything Sweden has ever been able to do. Obama is following Alinskys plans, those set out in Rules for Radicals and his other writing. The Democrats are attempting to create one party rule in the U.S. and in achieving that, will create crisis after crisis by their own actions and use those crisis to nationalize the means of production in the U.S. You are in the middle of a communist revolution and few in the U.S. can actually see it for what it truly is.

The U.S. . is now on the path of financial destruction. The Constitution has been shredded and individual human rights are being trampled. In less than 8 months. Obama has used a recession to take over the two largest industries in the U.S. He will debase the Dollar and is on the road to creating an incredible energy shortage that will allow him and Congress to take over the energy industry.

Eyewitness Revelations: Confirmed FBI Cover-Up Of Flight 253 Attack

Let us remember that in mid-December, the outlaws in the US House of Reps voted a 60-day extension of three provisions of the anti-Bill of Rights “Patriot” Act.

An new act of terrorism on a flight coming into the U.S. should seal the deal when it comes up for a vote soon.

What timing.

Bombshell Eyewitness Revelations: Confirmed FBI Cover-Up Of Flight 253 Attack

Detroit attorney Kurt Haskell dropped bombshell revelations concerning his eyewitness experience of the Flight 253 attack and how the FBI detained a second man after dogs detected a bomb in his luggage.

The FBI has not only ignored Haskell’s story, but they have launched a cover-up by refusing to even acknowledge the existence of another man who filmed the entire flight, including the aborted attack, as well as the well-dressed man who aided the bomber to board the plane even though he had no passport and was on a terror watch list.

In light of the attempted Christmas Day bombing aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 253, it was certainly appropriate that President Obama directed a review of airline screening policies and procedures. It is unlikely, however, that the current administration will re-evaluate long-standing policies prohibiting ethnic or gender-based terror profiling. Nevertheless, failure to make common-sense changes may increase the chance that persons like Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab or “shoe-bomber” Richard Reid (aka Abdul Raheem) will one day succeed in detonating a bomb aboard a commercial aircraft.

We see them not as labor-saving devices, but as statements. We may uphold them as emblematic of liberty or we may condemn them as inherently, murderously dangerous, depending on our political outlook. But we’ve stopped understanding them technologically. ————————–cut———————— It is in losing this recognition that guns are labor-saving technology that we commit mistakes at the socio-political level. I’m not sure why Obama would do this, but some consider this a big deal since Interpol is the self-described largest police agency in the world, not a government with traveling diplomats and such….
