This proves Elena Kagan is an open and avowed socialist.

The woman declares that socialists must stick together instead of fracture in order to advance a socialist agenda, which Kagan advocates.

Attorneys for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich has subpoenaed U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Blagojevich has said he wants Reid to testify about their discussions about plans for appointing someone to President Barack Obama’s former senate seat.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was subpoenaed to testify at ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s upcoming corruption trial, Reid’s office said Thursday.

“As a routine legal matter, Senator Reid’s attorney accepted service. This action does not mean that Senator Reid will testify at trial,” Jim Manley, a spokesman for the Nevada Democrat, said in an e-mailed statement.

Kagan, Obama, and the Harvard Legacy of Literary Fraud ~ Jack Cashill

In 1989, Harvard Law professor Laurence Tribe hired first-year Harvard law student Barack Obama as his research assistant. After Obama was elected president, Tribe would gush, “His stunning combination of analytical brilliance and personal charisma, openness and maturity, vision and pragmatism, was unmistakable from my very first encounter.”

Obama had one other prominent mentor among the Harvard faculty, Professor Charles Ogletree, an African American. In the run up to the election, Ogletree would enthuse, “I’m so excited about this candidacy that I just can’t tell you. I’m just overfull with joy.”

In 2004, Tribe and Ogletree both made the news in ways they might wish they had not. In 2010, that news has come back to haunt their Law School dean at that time, Elena Kagan, and, if there is any justice in the world, it should eventually suck in Obama himself.

In September 2004, as Obama was cruising to victory in the U.S. Senate race, Tribe was publicly apologizing for plagiarizing—though, of course, he would not use that term– Henry J. Abraham’s 1974 book, Justices and Presidents, to write his own 1985 book, God Save This Honorable Court.

Tribe’s transgression had come to light only after he had publicly defended his colleague Ogletree, who just three weeks earlier had publicly apologized for the unauthorized heist of verbiage from Yale scholar Jack Balkin’s book, What Brown v. Board of Education Should Have Said, and the stashing of it, nearly word-for-word, in his own book, All Deliberate Speed.

Appalled by Tribe’s hypocrisy, an anonymous tipster alerted conservative scholar Joseph Bottum, who penned a damning 5,000 word article for The Weekly Standard, which revealed the extent of Tribe’s theft and resulted in Tribe’s half-hearted mea culpa.

The next 2,000-page bill

The bill sets up two new supersnooping federal agencies to collect data on ordinary Americans: •The Office of Financial Research. This supposedly would predict risk in the system by collecting massive amounts of new financial data, such as patterns of credit card use. •The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. It would collect data, especially on consumer transactions. The data are supposed to be “scrubbed” of individual identifiers, so your privacy would be protected. But that might not work, Mark Calabria told us; the director of financial regulation studies at the Cato Institute formerly was a member of the senior professional staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. “If you can link the data to courthouse records of housing sales,” he said, then anyone can find data on others. “Much of this goes beyond what banks do now” to keep data. Under the new law, the government would detail “your charges at Macy’s and car payments. It would be fairly detailed information.”

Pelosi Calls for Amnesty for Illegal Aliens Thursday, May 13, 2010 By Nicholas Ballasy, Video Reporter

( — Speaking at the Asian-American and Pacific Islanders Summit held at the Capitol on Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called for amnesty for illegal aliens in the United States, a proposal she called a “path to legalization.”

“Hopefully, we will be moving toward comprehensive immigration reform that secures our borders, enforces our laws, protects our workers, honors family unification and has a path to legalization–so that we have certainty in our country and respect for the contributions that newcomers bring to us,” she said on Capitol Hill on Wednesday.

House Minority Leader John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) office told that Boehner “disagrees” with Pelosi’s comments and thinks immigration reform will not pass this year.
