AN HISTORICAL ANALYSIS OF THE STATES AS INDEPENDENT REPUBLICS
by John Sutherland, ©2010
The original thirteen colonies had expanded west to the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River, and MA, CT, VA and GA covered much more territory than they do today.Aug. 9, 2010 — America started out as thirteen unfunded yet chartered British colonies, went along for many years in a relatively benign condition of neglect by Britain, developed their own methods of survival, and managed to thrive and prosper in the New World quite well – all without British assistance. As the American colonies thrived, however, Britain started to look at them differently, and sought increasing control over them.
The maturing colonies, however, consistently rejected what they perceived as unrepresented interference and taxation by Britain, and through their Declaration of Independence and open military conflict with Britain, sought for themselves to become free and independent of Britain. The colonists were working toward the freedom and independence of statehood. Early definitions defined the statehood clearly – A State was a sovereign political entity, not simply a territory of a government.
We-the-People now have an actively race-biased Department of Justice and a DOJ that seems bent upon suppressing as many “non-minority” aka “white” and US Military votes as possible in the upcoming general election. Political Correctness and an overt bias in favor of Marxist Democrat totalitarian leaders keep the ObamaMedia ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, etc. from reporting on anything negative about The Obama. Although a few members of these media are now placing their little toes in the water and offering “tee-ninesy” that’s VERY little, folks criticisms of the American Stalin, most still refuse to report the truth about anything–let alone their revered dictator-in-chief. But, as ugly as some find it, the truth MUST be reported.
WHY NOT NULLIFICATION?by Jim Delaney
In 1814-15, a convention on states’ rights and nullification was held in Hartford, CT, in opposition to President James Madison’s war policyAug. 9, 2010 — Though the U.S. Constitution is of scant consequence in DC these days, Americans should remember that nullification continues to be a well-established and constitutionally justifiable remedy to federal overreach. But, a practical word of caution: only a determined act of nullification has any hope of success.
You may refer to my previous posts on nullification and the supremacy clause, or you may do your own research to substantiate that assertion.
SOME ‘Gunny G’ NOTES ON MARINE CORPS HISTORY, POLITICS, INTER-SERVICE RELATIONS, ETC. (via ~ The GUNNY “G” BLOG & E-MAIL ~)
President Obama, and more importantly the powerful globalists who control him, have sought to censor, block and limit dissent throughout his presidency. They have attempted to shut down films like The Obama Deception and critics like Phil J. Berg, who brought a lawsuit challenging Obama’s constitutional eligibility to hold office. But with continued efforts from activists, the truth will emerge after all.
Many citizens of NYC, and the United States, feel the Cordoba House is an offensive idea, especially to the families of those whose loved ones were murdered on 9/11. Over 3000 people died that day, so to build a new mosque that close to the site of the former twin towers is considered ridiculous and insensitive.
The name “Cordoba House” is also offensive to those who look back upon the history of the Cordoba Mosque in Spain from which the Cordoba House derives it’s name. Here is a portion of it’s history:The building was begun in approximately 600 A.D. as the Christian Visigoth church of St. Vincent in the Andalusian city of Cordoba, Spain. An Islamic conquest led to the capture of the Visigoth kingdom and the church was completely rebuilt and refashioned as a mosque …
Does our society really need this facility “to promote tolerance, self-awareness, and self-recognition”? Have we not been tolerant enough? Immediately after the 9/11 attack, national prayer was collectively conducted by Christians, Jews, and Muslims, with President George W. Bush, former President Bill Clinton, and other national leaders in attendance. And now the majority of America has voted into power a new President by the name of Barack Hussein Obama who is, was, and always will be loyal to Islam …
