Restoring Once-Vibrant Economy Hinges On Repeal Of ObamaCare

August 30, 2010 Leave a comment

One has to congratulate President Obama and his advisers on their success. Rahm Emanuel‘s quip about “never let a crisis go to waste” in late 2008 was a prelude to the administration’s attack on U.S. economic growth.

In perspective, Obama mounted an attack on the pillars of U.S. economy — growth, wealth creation and personal responsibility — that amounted to a shock-and-awe economic attack.

It took Obama less than 18 months to transform a historically vibrant U.S. economy to one that has been paralyzed by his shock-and-awe economic policies. The U.S. economy has little or no private-sector job growth, nearly 10% unemployment, a high rate of underemployment, no wealth creation and a heavy dose of government control.

This administration has been relentless in its push to transform an economy that was based on growth, wealth creation and personal responsibility to one characterized by wealth-sharing, government control and slow growth. Obama succeeded in what he wanted for the U.S. economy.Obama signed the crown jewel of his U.S. economic transformation — the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act — on March 23 of this year. ObamaCare amounts to, over time, a takeover of the health care industry — 17% of the economy.

It is a wealth-sharing policy that increases costs and taxes on the private sector.ObamaCare is phased in over the next four years, but taxpayers and businesspeople responded immediately to the higher costs and taxes as if ObamaCare were already fully implemented.

Ron Paul: ‘There Might Not Be Any Gold In Fort Knox’

August 30, 2010 1 comment

Rep. Ron Paul R-Texas said he plans to introduce legislation next year to force an audit of U.S. holdings of gold.Paul, a longtime critic of the Federal Reserve and U.S. monetary policy, said he believes it’s “a possibility” that there might not actually be any gold in the vaults of Fort Knox or the New York Federal Reserve bank.

The libertarian lawmaker told Kitco News, a website tracking news about precious metals, that an audit was necessary to determine how much the U.S. maintains in gold reserves in case the government were to use gold to back the dollar.

Obama: The people at Beck’s rally are filled with anxiety

August 30, 2010 Leave a comment

“I — I do think that it’s important for us to recognize that right now, the country’s going through a very difficult time, as a consequence of years of neglect in a whole range of areas. Our schools not working the way they need to, so we’ve slipped in terms of the number of college graduates, you know?A financial system that was not, you know, operating in a way that maintained integrity and assured that the people who were investing or who were buying a home or were using a credit card weren’t getting in some way cheated.

We had a health care system that was broken and that was bankrupting families and businesses. All those issues are big, tough, difficult issues. And those are just our domestic issues. That’s before we get to policy issues in two wars. And a continuing battle against terrorists who want to do us harm.

So, given all those anxieties — and given the fact that, you know, in none of these situations are you going to be fix things overnight. It’s not surprising that somebody like a Mr. Beck is able to stir up a certain portion of the country. That’s been true throughout our history.

What I’m focused on is making sure that the decisions we’re making now are going to be be not good for the nightly news. Not good even necessarily for the next election. But are good for the next generation. And I’m very confident that those decisions are the ones that we’ve made.”

Iran Nuclear Reactor is now functionalPrint This PostBUT ARE THEIR INTENTIONS PEACEFUL?

by Sharon Rondeau

Formerly known as Persia, Iran was ruled by a monarch until the Revolution in 1979Aug. 30, 2010 — On August 21, 2010, the nuclear power plant located in the Bushehr province of Iran began to receive fuel rods in preparation for its production of electricity later this year despite “Western pressure to rein in its nuclear ambitions.”

A previous report from the DEBKAfile about which The Post & Email had written had predicted a September or earlier startup for the facility. According to another report, the loading of fuel into the reactor “would henceforth make the Bushehr facility qualified as an operational nuclear power plant.”

You can stand and salute or bow your heads while listening. I offer this after Beck’s rally, “Restoring Honor” where the love of God and patriotism and support of our military was reaffirmed in the hearts of hundreds of thousands of Americans. I thought this was an appropriate reminder.

Economy Nucleus of Tribulation

August 30, 2010 Leave a comment

With so many signals in view that point to the brewing Tribulation tempest, we should expect – if we are reading the end-times signals correctly – that this heart of the Beast should be well along in its construction. We have covered all of the indicators found within current issues and events that we believe are signals like those given by Jesus and the prophets. National and world economies have been dealt with in our efforts to make prophetic sense of the dynamic rearrangements taking place in recent years, months, weeks, and days.America’s staggering weight of debt and swift economic decline is front and center in pointing to the fact, we believe, that this is the generation that stands at the end of one dispensation – the Church Age – and upon the precipice of the next – the Tribulation. Each hour seems to bring additional confirmation that the Tribulation storm is about to break upon an uncomprehending world. Such confirmation is present in abundance in the realm of geopolitics and global economics.Since Bible prophecy clearly foretells that the Antichrist government, thus the economic engine that will power that absolute dictatorship, will emerge from Europe, we need keep our prophetic antennae pointed in that direction – i.e., we must be especially alert to news involving movement within Europe to cause significant changes to global economic structure. The following excerpt from the Wall Street Journal registers an interesting blip on my own end-times radar screen.PARIS — French President Nicolas Sarkozy called on the world’s twenty largest economies to work together to reform global monetary order.”We must define a new framework for discussing currency movements,” Mr. Sarkozy said, adding that it is “nonsense” to talk about exchange rates without including China, which has accumulated huge foreign exchange reserves. He said stabilizing erratic foreign exchange and commodities markets will feature high on France‘s agenda when it heads the Group of 20 [in] November.

He added there is a need to reduce the U.S. dollar’s dominance as the reserve currency of choice.” Nathalie Boschat and David Pearson, “Sarkozy Outlines G-20 Priorities,” Wall Street Journal, 8/26/10Prophecy scholars and others have long pondered why the U.S. , the most powerful nation in history, isn’t mentioned by name – or even by significant reference — in God’s Word. We continue to flounder in attempts at finding an exact answer for that question.

However, with the recent astonishing changes nationally and abroad, the answer seems to be in the process of forming.

Sowell: Oust Dems to Halt Obama Before ‘Point of No Return’

August 30, 2010 Leave a comment

Influential economist Thomas Sowell tells Newsmax that voters must oust Democrats from their majorities in Congress to stop the Obama administration from continuing to take the country toward the “point of no return.”

Professor Sowell, a senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, also says it is “madness” to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire at the end of the, year as Obama and the Democrats appear intent on doing.Sowell is also a syndicated columnist and prolific author whose latest book is “Dismantling America: and Other Controversial Essays.”

In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, Sowell says he is pessimistic about the future.Story continues below video.VIDEO 9:47 min.“Part of it is due to the continuation of a long set of trends. But much of it is also due to the fact that the current administration is really escalating these trends that are going in the wrong direction.

“One of those trends is the notion that there’s some elite out there who ought to be taking decisions out of our hands and concentrating them in the hands of politicians, bureaucrats, and judges. That’s the big domestic problem.

“The huge international problem is our doing nothing while Iran is developing nuclear weapons, given that Iran is the largest sponsor of international terrorism in the world.”Another trend “is the notion that people have rights for which there is no basis in any law, in any constitution, or in any organized philosophical or religious tradition.

“I saw a photograph recently of someone sitting on a corner with a sign saying, ‘I have a right to a job.’ I have no idea where that right comes from, and it can only be sustained if other people don’t have a right…
