The wording is striking because it recalls the “Authorization of the Use of Force,” in Iraq — an authorization that Congress provided. It was not a unilateral action by the President, like today’s “authorization” was.
It seems pretty clear to me that the Constitution does not give the President the authority to start an offensive war with no Congressional approval.Candidate Obama agreed with me. Here he is in 2007: The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.
Another striking detail: CNN reports that this announcement came “in an audio message from Brazil.”
Add in the complete lack of debate, and Obama’s silence on the matter before voting at the UN to approve an attack on Libya.
This seems a pretty flippant way to begin a war.
But maybe Obama doesn’t think 112 Tomahawk Missiles and a pledge to shoot down Libyan aircraft flying in their own airspace counts as “war” — in which case we have to wonder if we can ever know what he means by any word.
Result in this survey is that just 9 percent said they believe Obama has met the requirements to prove he was born in the United States and is therefore qualified to be president,” said Fritz Wenzel, chief of Wenzel Strategies, which conducted the assessment.
“Even when you combine those who say such questions are not valid with those who believe he has satisfied the requirements, it still falls short of equaling the percentage who said he should step forward and prove his birth origin once and for all,” he said.
Wenzel Strategies, an independent public opinion research firm based in Ohio, conducted a nationwide telephone poll using a randomly selected sample of all adults.

The debate was organised by the government, which is keen to see the principles of a free and equal net maintained.
ISPs are increasingly looking to prioritise some traffic on their networks and block some. After the meeting the BBC called for the creation of a broadband content group to represent content providers.
It, along with content providers such as Google, Yahoo, Facebook and Skype, is growing increasingly concerned about how the issue of net neutrality is being dealt with. Net neutrality – the principle that all net traffic should be treated equally – has been challenged in recent years as ISPs look to make a return on their increasingly expensive networks.
They argue that if content providers want to pay to get their traffic prioritised on the network, then they should be allowed to do so. But some content owners and digital activists such as Open Rights Group argue that such a policy would do long-term damage to the internet, which was always conceived as a platform for everyone – not just those with deep pockets.

President Barack Obama played grand tourist to Rio de Janeiro’s vivid extremes on Sunday, motorcading from brilliant beaches to a notorious slum even as he monitored U.S. military strikes in faraway Libya.
With his whole family in tow on the second day of a Latin American tour meant to knit economic and cultural ties, the president visited the City of God shantytown that gained fame after a movie by the same name was nominated for four Oscars.
At a community center in the heart of the jostling slum, the president plunged into the lives of children there, playing soccer with kids and watching enthralled at a dazzling martial arts display.
The president shed his coat and tie, rolled up his sleeves and dribbled one-on-one soccer with one surprised boy.

We all must remember how the left crucified President George W. Bush over a 9 month debate concerning war with Iraq. This debate included multiple UN Resolutions and a Multi-National Force composed of dozens of nations.
This decision came with no debate in Congress and one UN Resolution that was only voted on 48 hours before.Excerpt Read more at nation.foxnews.com …
“The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.”Thus spake presidential candidate Barack Obama.
So according to his own words and stated beliefs, the current military action in Libya is unconstitutional.
Dennis Kucinich, Democratic Congressman from Ohio, introduced articles of impeachment against President Bush for invading Iraq absent a declaration of war. At least President Bush had the fig leaf of Congressional authorization.

Yesterday, US and British forces launched over 100 Tomahawk cruise missiles into Libya in an attempt to knock out its air defenses.A group of left-wing House Democrats are fretting about the constitutionality of this military action military action seems to be about the only time this bunch worries about constitutionality.
Rep. Dennis Kucinich — who recently awarded himself the Purple Molar for injuries he sustained single-handedly attempting to thwart an olive pit attack at the congressional cafeteria — is even talking about impeachment:
A hard-core group of liberal House Democrats is questioning the constitutionality of U.S. missile strikes against Libya, with one lawmaker raising the prospect of impeachment during a Democratic Caucus conference call on Saturday.Reps. Jerrold Nadler N.Y., Donna Edwards Md., Mike Capuano Mass., Dennis Kucinich Ohio, Maxine Waters Calif., Rob Andrews N.J., Sheila Jackson Lee Texas, Barbara Lee Calif. and Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton D.C. “all strongly raised objections to the constitutionality of the president’s actions” during that call, said two Democratic lawmakers who took part.
Kucinich, who wanted to bring impeachment articles against both former President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney over Iraq — only to be blocked by his own leadership — asked why the U.S. missile strikes aren’t impeachable offenses. I love the smell of a potential primary challenge in the morning.Others on the left who helped carry Obama into office on their shoulders are going apoplectic as well.
Michael Moore suggested that Obama return his Nobel Peace Prize and compared him to Bush a charge that will be especially hard for Obama to avoid if he’s going to recycle W’s speeches, but at least that might help keep the greens happy. Louis Farrakhan asked Obama “Who the hell do you think you are?” Obama’s even lost Joan Baez, and you know how the old saying goes: If you’ve lost an aging folk singer from the 60′s, you’ve lost… well, not much actually.
The Rasmussen Reports frequently post their findings on the subject of ObamaCare repeal and spending curtailment. The most recent one of these Reports is dated March 11, 2011 and it tells us that the number of votersadvocating for outright full repeal of this ruinous legislation is now up to 62 percent of all voters!
That is approaching two out of every three voters in favor of scuttling this onerous law.
How can we keep ignoring thewishes of nearly two-thirds of our populace? Here we now have the dichotomy of one side saying we have to approve the Continuing Resolutions so we can get some “real” cutting done through negotiations, while the other side gets on his big Air Force One super jet and wings if off to South America ostensibly to communicate with those leaders, but which smells more like a vacation in warm and sunny climes with Socialist buddies and like-thinkers of wealth redistribution. Be sure to note how many billions he offers to Brazil, Chile and El Salvador. Those Socialists are probably singing, “Hey, Big Spender, Spend Your Billions Here.”Give it up; let the cutting beginHow good are you at internationally long distance negotiations for “real” cutting, Mr. Speaker?
Do you even remotely suspect that the man will be listening?
He has you over a barrel, Sir, and you continue to cry “Uncle”when it should be “traitor.”
Give it up; let the cutting begin.
For those still in denial, consider an article by Stanislav Mishin that appeared in Pravda, the Russian newspaper that was formerly one of the main organs of the Soviet Union. “It must be said that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking speed, against the backdrop of a passive, hapless sheep”, much of which he attributed to “the election of Barack Obama.”
That was written before the spontaneous explosion of the quintessentially American Tea Party movement. Since then we have seen the dramatic reversal of power in Congress that occurred as the result of the November 2010 elections.
The harm and damage done by our first Communist President will take years to repair, but Americans have wakened to the socialist menace of the nation’s public sector unions, the centralization of education in the federal government, the threat of the Environmental Protection Agency’s assertion of control over America’s energy sector, the refusal of the Interior Department to grant drilling permits, the devaluation of the U.S. dollar by the Federal Reserve, and the incremental efforts of an anti-American government to undermine defense, national security, our economy, and our worldwide reputation as a defender of freedom.
Winston Churchill, the former British Prime Minister who led that nation through World War II and coined the term “Iron Curtain”, said of Communism, “it is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
The left intends to seize powerThe left intends to seize power. They don’t care about the objective viability of the system. They assume that once they have absolute power, everyone will just do what they’re told. At some point their authoritarian monopoly of power will implode along the lines of basic functionality. Which is what happened in the Soviet Union. But not until they have completely exhausted everything, wiped out agriculture, turned industry into an unworkable joke and made sure that the country is run by people who can’t tie their own shoes. That’s what happened in the Soviet Union—and now it’s happening here. Only when they fail so badly that it is impossible to go on any longer, will they agree to a few “free market” reforms. Before trying to go back to the old ways anyway.
The left isn’t capable of stopping what it’s doing, not because they can’t do simple arithmetic, but because they refuse to give up power. Or contemplate another strategy, such as letting the free market run wild for a decade, to build up their support and revitalize their movement. They’re getting what they wanted and it’s everything they imagined. Absolute power is within their reach. The old order giving way to a new order. The aristocracy of the ideologues getting their chance at power back where it all began. And they would rather consolidate power, hang on to it with their teeth and ride the wave down to the rocks—than cooperate and reform the system.
III. Sociopathy as a Leftist Leadership Prerequisite?
It is a tenet of Taoism that those who most seek power are least able to rule wisely. Taoism’s founder Lao Tzu wrote, “Leadership is an opportunity to serve, it is not a trumpet call to self importance.”
Likewise, famed economist Hayek claimed often the very worst people, ambulatory human dung, arise to the pinnacles of leadership and then oppress others.
But has any American president preened and mugged over his position in a more disgusting manner than Barack? In this vein, consider Obama—at the very least—an example of a sick-minded misfit, swallowing whole every nugget of flattery ever heaped upon him, sinking into his bones like plutonium poisoning. This gorging upon praise seemingly blocked intellectual curiosity and moral development.
Barack’sm mentally-unwell tendency towards conceit is well-expressed by Shakespeare in Sonnet 62: Sin of self-love possesseth all mine eye And all my soul, and all my every part; And for this sin there is no remedy, It is so grounded inward in my heart.
Methinks no face so gracious is as mine, No shape so true, no truth of such account; And for myself mine own worth do define, As I all other in all worths surmount.
The Sociopath Next Door, by Martha Stout, a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School, offers rich insight into sociopaths, defined as: “a person, as a psychopathic personality, whose behavior is antisocial and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience.”
Obama and pals thought they had a perfect evil enemy that they could use to quickly dispatch from the scene and then Obama’s image could be uplifted a bit. His image economically is in shreds after trying to spend his way out of a recession sending us into a ever spiraling amount of debt.
Gas prices are skyrocketing and all he does is make us MORE dependent on foreign oil, instead of less.
His Socialist ideas are not gaining in popularity.
His approval ratings are going down.So against this backdrop he starts this new shell game. Hey everybody, look over there, I’m gonna knock out the evil Libyan leader, Muammar el-Qaddafi, but doing it wasn’t going to be that easy without looking like a “warmonger”

RIO DE JANEIRO AP -
President Barack Obama is slipping from economic pitchman to grand tourist, immersing himself in the sights and sounds of boisterous Rio de Janeiro even as he juggles the demands of U.S. military action in faraway Libya.
The United States declared yet another unconstitutional war in the Middle East today when it launched a bevy of deadly Tomahawk cruise missiles at the sovereign state of Libya.Corporate media begins inevitable propaganda spin to rationalize murder.
Article One, Section Eight of the Constitution reads: “Congress shall have power to … declare War.” Congress did not declare war on Libya. The globalist sock puppet Obama did.Speaking from Brasilia, Obama said that he had authorized “limited military action in Libya.”He does not have the authority to call for military action against other countries. The executive branch of the United States government, however, has engaged in this sort of unlawful and flagrant violation of the Constitution since the end of the Second World War.Congress recognizes no claimed power of the president to wage war outside of the War Powers Resolution. Congress passed the the War Powers Resolution in 1973 after Nixon illegally invaded Cambodia.
Stock up with Fresh Food that lasts with eFoodsDirect ADObama Declares Unconstitutional War on Libya 161008pptv3The War Powers Resolution became totally irrelevant when Congress passed the Iraq Resolution or the Iraq War Resolution in 2002 following the false flag attack of September 11, 2011.Obama and his globalist puppet masters have deep and undivided contempt for the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the American people.
Obama placed his “authority” to kill Libyans on a flimsy framework earlier established by warmongers in France, Britain, Canada and Italy. The despicable French president Nicolas Sarkozy led the charge. His call for mass murder was described as “theatrical gravitas” by the corporate media. British Prime Minister David Cameron and Sarkozy met briefly Saturday to compare notes before an “international” globalist summit on Libya. Sarkozy also met with Madame Clinton………………..
Hypocrisy run rampant:
Obama administration fearmongers about Libyan-backed terrorists carrying out reprisal attacks in America while launching air strikes to support terrorists in Libya
Paul Joseph WatsonPrison Planet.comSunday, March 20, 2011
Achieving new heights of hypocrisy, the U.S government is hyping the threat of Libyan-backed reprisal terror attacks inside the United States, while launching air strikes in support of so-called “protesters” who have commandeered fighter jets and tanks, and are in fact Islamic fundamentalist Al-Qaeda cells who want to impose sharia law in Libya.
The New York Times reports that Libya may “lash out” against the Orwellian “no fly zone,” which in reality represents constant bombardment, by sending terrorists to carry out attacks against U.S. interests.“Asked if American officials feared whether Colonel Qaddafi could open a new terrorism front, President Obama’s top counterterrorism official John O. Brennan said: “Qaddafi has the penchant to do things of a very concerning nature.
We have to anticipate and be prepared for things he might try to do to flout the will of the international community.”
“Al Qaeda has a demonstrated track record of trying to exploit political vacuums, political change or uncertainty in a number of countries,” Mr. Brennan added. “The situation in Libya now will be no exception.”
“the technological age we now live in, it is NOT designed for your enlightenment, but rather for your enslavement”
Now it is vital for the reader to understand one of the most fundamental facts about the technological age we now live in, it is NOT designed for your enlightenment, but rather for your enslavement, and as noted by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange this past week when he warned about the Internet, he calls the world’s “greatest spying machine”:
It is not a technology that favours freedom of speech, it is not a technology that favours human rights, rather it is a technology that can be used to set up a totalitarian spying regime, the likes of which we have never seen.” [Note: Since the release of our report “They Are Going To Come For You Why Are You Helping Them?” , we have been astounded by the numbers of Americans who still aren’t aware that their cell phones are in all actuality spying devices being listened into and tracked by their government even when turned off.]Standing between the American people, and the seemingly unstoppable power of their elite classes bent on their destruction, are but a few of us left still shouting warnings to those able, and willing, to listen, but we grow fewer by the day because those we seek to help the most have no idea how much danger they truly are in.
For decades what became known as the “Lockhart plot” has been etched in the annals of the Soviet archives, taught in schools and even illustrated in films. In early 1918, in the final months of World War I, Russia‘s new Bolshevik government was negotiating a peace deal with Germany and withdrawing its exhausted troops from the front. This did not please London. The move would enable Berlin – which had been fighting a war on two fronts – to reinforce its forces in the West.

The most striking early-survey finding: A whopping three-quarters of Americans–74 percent–said the United States should “leave it to others” to attempt to resolve the situation in Libya, according to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll conducted last week.Similarly, a Pew Research Center poll conducted last week found that 65 percent of respondents think the United States doesn’t have the responsibility to do something about the fighting in Libya, compared with 27 percent who responded that it does.

As our world continues spinning out of control today due to the horrific events in Japan and the chaos of rebellion sweeping the Middle East, following a year 2010 that the global insurance giant Munich Re named as the second worst in history for natural disasters, shocking news has arrived from America showing that the long feared “shroud of silence” is about to fall upon them thus completing their transformation from being one of the freest nations we’ve ever known, to becoming the most oppressed.
Fueling the fears that Americas descent into information darkness is at hand this week were: 1. Obama’s proposal of sweeping revisions to US copyright law making the streaming of audio and video content over the Internet a federal felony; 2. State Rep. Bill Zedler told WND today that his House Bill 2454 is a pre-emptive effort to make sure problems don’t arise in Texas with established scientific communities discriminating against someone who challenges their beliefs. His plan is short and to the point:
An institution of higher education may not discriminate against or penalize in any manner, especially with regard to employment or academic support, a faculty member or student based on the faculty member’s or student’s conduct of research relating to the theory of intelligent design or other alternate theories of the origination and development of organisms.”Isn’t it amazing in the halls of academia you can almost believe anything and espouse everything and they go right along with you. But lo and behold if someone talks about intelligent design, all of a sudden, we need to get rid of you,” Zedler told WND.
Such actions already have been documented, and have produced court cases. But is man really just a product of cosmic accidents and processes? Get Ray Comfort‘s “Nothing Created Everything” to expose the inconsistencies of evolution theory.
In Texas, it was several years ago that Baylor University Professor Bob Marks, whose research indicated a challenge to Darwin’s theory of evolution, was ordered taken off the Internet by his employer.Walt Ruloff, the executive producer of Premise Media, who worked with actor Ben Stein on the project called “Expelled:
No Intelligence Allowed,” about the monopoly Darwinian beliefs hold in academia, wrote in the Baylor student newspaper about his concerns at the time.”As many of you have heard, Marks, a distinguished professor of electrical and computer engineering, has been conducting research that ultimately may challenge the foundation of Darwinian theory.
In layman’s terms, Marks is using highly sophisticated mathematical and computational techniques to determine if there are limits to what natural selection can do,” he wrote. “At Baylor, a Christian institution, this should be pretty unremarkable stuff. I’m assuming most of the faculty, students and alumni believe in God, so wouldn’t it also be safe to assume you have no problem with a professor trying to scientifically quantify the limits of a blind, undirected cause of the origin and subsequent history of life?”But the dirty little secret is university administrators are much more fearful of the Darwinian Machine than they are of you,” he said.

On Friday, the teleprompter reader in chief and NCAA basketball picker Obama bellied up to the podium in the East Room of the White House and read his script. He said Libyan thug Moammar Gadhafi has to stop attacking civilians or face military retaliation.“Left unchecked, we have every reason to believe that Gadhafi would commit atrocities against his people. Many thousands could die.
A humanitarian crisis would ensue. The entire region could be destabilized, endangering many of our allies and partners,” Obama read from the teleprompter.“These terms are not subject to negotiation,” said Barry, sounding like a Mafia don in a back room meeting between crime families. “If Gadhafi does not comply with the resolution, the international community will impose consequences, and the resolution will be enforced through military action.”
In other words, there will be blood.
