of Americans are standing at the ready to throw A&E to the curb. We’re hearing thousands have dumped the channel from their TV packages, unliked their Facebook pages, removed their apps and taken back product purchases. But voting with the wallet may not be that easy. Turns out Nancy Dubuc, CEO of A&E Networks, is in charge of quite a web. Nancy Dubuc is President and Chief Executive Officer of A+E Networks, encompassing A&E®, Lifetime®, HISTORY®, LMN®, bio.®, H2™, HISTORY en Español™, Crime & Investigation Network®, Military HISTORY®, LRW™ channels, as well as A&E IndieFilms®, A+E Networks International®, A+E Networks Digital® and A+E Networks Consumer Products®. She became A+E Networks’ third CEO in the company’s nearly 30-year history in June 2013. That’s one heck of a reach into the mainstream entertainment industry. In fact, this means the same person in charge of Duck Dynasty (ultimately) is also in charge of Pawn Stars, Counting Cars and the rest of them. On one hand this may make it more difficult to make a statement stick. On the other hand, those wishing to make a statement have more shows, show executives and contacts to reach out to with comments of displeasure over the discrimination of Phil Robertson. –
