Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) was all over TV this week.
During a segment on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” she called President Donald Trump the “most deplorable” person she’s ever met. As a guest on “The View,” Waters said that she was glad that the leakers inside the White House were sharing what was going on inside.
But Trump isn’t the only person Waters went after this week. On Friday, Waters went on MSNBC’s “All In” with host Chris Hayes.
During the segment, Hayes brought up the news of Robert Mueller impaneling a grand jury for the Russia probe. Then he played a clip of Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz, who’s a Democrat, defending President Donald Trump. In the clip, Dershowitz mentions how Mueller’s grand jury announcement gives a “tactical advantage” to Democrat leaders and people who are interested in punishing the administration.
Hayes asked Waters if she thinks it’s unfair for Dershowitz to make such a comment.
“Oh, it’s absolutely unfair. What he said, you know all of those black people are there, and they don’t like Trump. So he’s not going to get a fair trial, so they should take it out of that jurisdiction, it shouldn’t be there, to begin with.
I don’t like that and I’m surprised that Alan Dershowitz is talking like that. And we will not stand for it. We will push back against it. Because that is absolutely racist.”
Maxine Waters, everybody.
