It’s jelly-knees Mitt Romney, not President Trump who should apologize to the American people… By Judi McLeod…!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is the jelly-kneed Mitt Romney who needs to apologize to the American people for allowing his own cowardice to saddle America with another four years of anti-American President Barack Obama

It’s jelly-knees Mitt Romney, not President Trump who should apologize to the American people

It took former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney almost a full week after tragic events in Charlottesville to sink his shiv in President Donald Trump’s back.

Romney did not comment on President Trump’s condemnation of violence on “many sides” on any one of the six days that have passed since the Charlottesville rally gone riot cost one woman her life and left 38 or more others injured, some critically.

“Romney did not comment on President Donald Trump’s condemnation of violence on “many sides.” (, Aug. 13, 2017)

“In February 2016, Romney called Trump’s response to the endorsement from former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke “disgusting & disqualifying.”

Now that they’re piling on President Trump, Romney moves back to the head of the line.

“Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, the GOP’s 2012 presidential nominee, called on President Trump Friday to apologize to the nation for his failed response to the violence in Charlottesville. (Washington Times, Aug. 18, 2017)

Where was Romney when the nation was still reeling in shock after the young woman was killed and and 38 or more were injured?

No, traditional “our thoughts and prayers are with you” on his Facebook account, his last post on July 19 being: “John McCain’s patriotism and courage are vital to the nation.  With the fearful news tonight, Ann and I pray for his recovery.”

“Mr. Romney said on Facebook that Mr. Trump should follow the example set by the nation’s military leaders who denounced the actions of the white nationalists, neo-Nazis and KKK members who gathered in Virginia and clashed with counterprotesters. (Washington Times)

“The president must take remedial action in the extreme,” Mr. Romney said. “He should address the American people, acknowledge that he was wrong, apologize.”

Like most political fence-sitters, Romney takes his time in messaging the masses on anything important.

It took him all the way to Jan. 27, 2014 for him to make any public comment on CNN debate moderator Candy Crowley’s heavy-handed interference in his second debate with President Barack Obama in 2012. (Daily Caller,  Jan.27, 2014

“Crowley infamously butted in to an exchange between Romney and Obama regarding the Obama administration’s changing of the Benghazi talking points.  “Crowley’s assertion that Obama was right in the argument led to multiple rounds of applause in the studio audience — an agonizing moment that was featured prominently in the new behind-the-scenes Netflix documentary “MITT.”

“Romney addressed Crowley’s debate performance in an interview Monday with conservative talk show host Hugh Hewitt.

“Well, I don’t think it’s the role of the moderator in a debate to insert themselves into the debate and to declare a winner or a loser on a particular point. And I must admit that at that stage, I was getting a little upset at Candy, because in a prior setting where I was to have had the last word, she decided that Barack Obama was to get the last word despite the rules that we had,” Romney said.

“So she obviously thought it was her job to play a more active role in the debate than was agreed upon by the two candidates, and I thought her jumping into the interaction I was having with the president was also a mistake on her part, and one I would have preferred to carry out between the two of us, because I was prepared to go after him for misrepresenting to the American people the nature of the attack,” Romney said.”
