Ms. McGrath: Spectacular level of obnoxious, unjustifiable, rhetoric
Dem 2018 Congressional candidate: Trump’s win felt a lot like the attacks on 9/11!
The left hates Donald Trump with the white-hot fiery passion of a thousand suns. Not only did he usurp America’s rightful statist queen, he got into office and actually did some of the things he promised – and those things are having positive results. Trump is getting credit for both economic and foreign policy wins, his poll numbers are way up, and the promised ‘blue wave’ appears to have all but evaporated.
Lefties are basically watching their worst-case scenario play out in front of their eyes. Their response to this situation has not been to learn from their mistakes. Instead, they’ve decided to double down on everything that didn’t work in 2016, while ramping up the hyperbole to absolutely hysterical new heights.
Enter Amy McGrath. She’s a Democrat Congressional candidate who just won her party’s primary for Kentucky’s 6th district. Judging by the following comments, she also has a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
You see, according to McGrath, Trump’s victory felt an awful lot like the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
“And then, of course, the results of the election, we have a new commander-in-chief. And that morning I woke up like somebody had sucker punched me. I mean, I felt like, ‘what has just happened to my country?’
The only feeling I can describe that’s any close to it was the feeling I had after 9/11. ‘What just happened, where are we going from here?’ …And it was that just sinking feeling of sadness, and I didn’t know what to do.”
That’s right. To this Democrat, the results of a United States election felt just like that time hijackers used passenger aircraft to attack our country, kill 3,000 American citizens, and topple the World Trade Center. That’s just a spectacular level of obnoxious, unjustifiable, rhetoric. I’d ask how out-of-touch these people can get, but I suspect there’s no limit.
Ms. McGrath will face Rep. Andy Barr (R) in the November midterms. Kentucky? Please. Do the right thing.
