Andrew Napolitano on their repellent political philosophy.
Judge Andrew Napolitano appeared on Fox’s “The Kelly File” Monday, telling host Megyn Kelly that President Barack Obama’s planned executive amnesty would be illegal and “playing with constitutional fire.” NAPOLITANO: When he suspends deportations and when he imposes his own conditions on those suspensions, he is effectively rewriting the law. And that violates his oath to enforce and uphold the law as it’s been written.
The American people, the Congress and the courts need to know that we have a president who will enforce the law. When he says ‘I will not enforce the law because I don’t like it, or I’m impatient,’ that doesn’t wash under the Constitution. …
He can’t rewrite the law.
All presidents have some discretion. We call it,………

Gunny G ~ What if everything we’ve done in Iraq has been a mistake?…Judge Andrew Napolitano……”What if Iraq is not a country of people with common cultures and interests and generally accepted borders, but rather an amalgam of warring groups cobbled together by British and American diplomats? What if only a strongman like Hussein — however evil and ill suited for government by Western standards — can keep peace and stability in an artificial country like Iraq?…”

James Madison is commonly referred to as the Father of the Constitution in large measure because, in the secrecy of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787, he kept the most complete set of notes.
He also had a very keen mind and a modest demeanor and an uncanny ability to solidify consensus around basic principles that are woven into the Constitution.

Judge Andrew Napolitano has written a book, Theodore and Woodrow. It is on the first decades of the 20th century, when the Progressive movement captured American politics. Except for the 1920′s — Harding and Coolidge — Progressivism has never surrendered political control in the United States.I spoke with him on July 22, at Mises University, the annual week-long training program for undergraduates, which is sponsored by the Ludwig von Mises Institute.
He was presenting a week-long series of lectures on the Constitution and the free market. The students get very good training on how the United States Constitution has been reinterpreted over the years, especially during the Progressive era.I gave him some background that almost nobody knows. The essence of the battle for constitutional interpretation in the 20th century is found in the names “Woodrow” and “Wilson.”THOMAS WOODROW WILSONWoodrow Wilson’s full name was Thomas Woodrow Wilson, but he never went
by Thomas. He always went by Woodrow. Woodrow is a strange name for a little boy to have.
Judge Andrew Napolitano thinks the pope is out of his element. He’s wrong.

A mystery inside a hazy enigma.A mystery inside a hazy enigma. Franco Origlia/Getty ImagesBy now we have developed a pattern when it comes to Pope Francis:
Any time he critiques economics, there is a rush to explain why he’s out of his element. On the appropriateness of the pope’s economic commentary, for example, Fox News’ Judge Andrew Napolitano poses and then answers his own question:Is it a problem for the Roman Catholic Church?
And is it something the pope is competent to comment upon or to resolve?… His encyclical is about economics, and it reveals a disturbing ignorance….
