Have you ever come across the suggestion that the America that existed during the time of the Founders is incompatible with “modern America”? There’s a huge problem with this. This idea that government is beholden to the people, that it has no other source of power except the sovereign people, is still the newest and the most unique idea in all the long history of man’s relation to man.

On July 23, 2004, I addressed the fifth annual Freedom 21 Conference in Reno, Nevada. Freedom 21 was the first coalition of limited government/private property advocacy groups. Freedom 21 eventually sponsored 10 national conferences and educated and trained a cadre of leaders to fight Agenda 21.

Have all 50 US ‘states’ tendered their resignation from the United States ‘corporation’ as this video from BackToConstitution suggests? According to the Declaration of Independence, it is not only our RIGHT, but it is our DUTY, to ‘throw off’ a government of despots who are committing a long train of abuses as this government clearly has been. I suppose I had wanted to begin this essay talking about a piece published back in January by Jay Bookman, “Second Amendment is Not License for Treason, Armed Revolt.”
I further suppose I had wanted to point out how, from a libertarian/market anarchist/voluntaryist perspective, it matters little what any amendment in any government document has to say about individual self-protection – it is an inherent and most obvious requisite of any human life.

…..My main concern is the fact that Boston, the 21st largest city in America, was completely and totally shutdown for almost 24 hours because of a manhunt for one person. Citizens of Boston were ordered to stay at home, and stay indoors till further notice.
Mass transit (busses, trains, bridges, ect) were completely shut down. Businesses, schools, hospitals, and public events were shut down or cancelled. Basically, the streets of Boston were a ghost town. Citizens of this area were told to “Shelter in Place” by the authorities.
