RUSH: CNN is panicking over their own poll. As predicted, the polls are starting to tighten.
CNN, at least what they’re saying, they’re starting to panic. You’ll hear the sound bites coming up. Oh, by the way, the Washington Post poll that was so devastating to Romney in the swing states, this goes beyond simple incompetence or media malpractice.
This is genuine corruption. We find out, and from the Washington Post’s own pollster, that they based last Friday’s poll of Romney being up ten, 11, whatever it was in those three swing states, on 160 people with a margin of error of plus or minus eight. I’m not kidding you.
…..For critics of Barack Obama, 2012 has been portrayed as a do-or-die year for the country – an election that will determine whether America stays on the road to European-style socialism or veers right to reclaim its positions as the most vibrant economy in the world and the home of individual liberty.
But the 2012 election is looking more like a replay of 2008 than a do-over.
The latest WND/Wenzel Poll shows none of the current crop of Republican presidential candidates has solidified the base of the party, with one in five GOP voters leaning toward support of Obama in November.

President Obama should abandon his run for a second term and turn over the reins of the Democratic Party to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, two one-time Democratic pollsters wrote in Monday’s Wall Street Journal, which appeared online Sunday.

The November 2011 Battleground Poll(PDF) shows a profound…
Surely these contorted questions show that this poll does not tilt towards conservatives and, if anything, leans to the left. Yet this Battleground Poll, like all the dozens over the last decade, still provides resilient proof of a conservative supermajority in America in the answer to two polling questions.
Editor’s note: This is another in a series of “WND/WENZEL POLLS” conducted exclusively for WND by the public-opinion research and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies.
The newest poll about the 2012 presidential election says one-third of Democrats and independents who lean to the left side of the field are unhappy with Barack Obama as the party’s standard-bearer and are looking for some new faces to enter the race
The startling results are from the newest WND/Wenzel Poll conducted by Wenzel Strategies. The telephone survey was conducted Oct. 22-25 and carries a margin of error of plus or minus 3.6 percentage points.
Responding to a question about how satisfied they are with Obama as the nominee, only 55 percent said they were very satisfied. Another 24 percent said they were somewhat satisfied, but that group apparently started falling away quickly, because fully one-third (35 percent) said that would “prefer that someone else enter the race” for the nomination.
Just what’s going on in Washington? See it in”Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Cronies“
It revealed some key demographics where Obama is failing to convince voters of his value.
“Among Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents, just 79 percent said they are satisfied with Barack Obama as their standard bearer in the presidential race, which is a startling finding,” said Fritz Wenzel, chief of Wenzel Strategies.

The poll is part of Gallup’s annual Crime poll, conducted Oct. 6-9. This year’s poll finds support for a number of gun-control measures at historical lows, including the ban on handguns, which is Gallup’s longest continuing gun-control trend, according to their website.
Gallup notes that the acceptance of gun ownership is not related to crime.
“In 2008, Gallup found widespread agreement with the idea that the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right of Americans to own guns. Americans may also be moving toward more libertarian views in some areas, one example of which is greater support for legalizing marijuana use,” Gallup reports.,,,
